Hey everyone! We’re thrilled to finally release this long documentary of our our Iceland adventure with y'all. We’re back home for a bit from the Pan American road trip, so instead of a new vlog from the road, we’ve put together this comprehensive video of our incredible journey through Iceland. We hope you enjoy all the stunning landscapes and epic moments we captured. Thanks for watching and for all your support!
hi I'm from China and my name is Li. I watched the vlog video you posted on TH-cam and really like this way of traveling. I also have a dream of living and traveling around the world. If you haven't posted it on Chinese video platforms, I will translate and upload your video to Chinese video platforms to share with more people. Do you agree? Of course, I will mark your TH-cam account and video address. Looking forward to your reply.
We loved and appreciate your bringing Iceland into our home via your documentary. What a beautiful country. Your videography is breathtaking. You’ve made us want to book a trip ASAP. Thank you!
When I and my family were in Iceland in July 2023 (we come from Austria) we were also on the black beach, but for us it was completely calm, hardly any waves and sunny. In the morning of that day we went to a hotel about 3 kilometers away from Black Beach. In all my life I have never experienced such a quiet morning - my steps into the parking lot sounded incredibly loud. I will definitely never forget this for the rest of my life!
Excellent work! I love both the short and long version of these vlogs. And that little blip of the John Mark McMillan cover of Hunter is so perfectly placed! Your thoughtfulness and attention to detail is appreciated!
Wow i’m only 10 minutes into the video and I cannot believe how beautiful Iceland is. I could’ve never imagined. It makes me want to go someday. Well done on bringing it to life.
Love this!!! It's so awesome that you were there just in time for the ice caves to be opened. We need to go back for that! We did sky lagoon when we were there, and the entrance into that pool is still one of the most majestic things I've ever seen
We have a jumpy balloon in NE at our pumpkin patch. I work in orthopedic surgery, we have lots of injuries from it. I was nervous for you all jumping on it🫣 Love this video. Heading to Iceland 2025.
When we were at the Sky Lagoon it was absolutely packed. The wind and rain were coming off the cold ocean. Lines at the bar were 30 minutes. There might have been more people in the Blue Lagoon it was 10x the size so everyone was spread out. The Vok Baths in Egisstadir were our favorite. It was smaller and floated on the lake. If you wanted a cold plug you could jump into the lake.
Your video is excellent. My wife and I have been to Iceland 5 times now, and each time, it gets better. When I saw you with the Sony Camera in the Sky Lagoon, I was freaking out, worried it was going to get dropped into the water. I've got a bunch of camera gear and constantly worry about dropping them. I just wanted to show my appreciation for the video; it was great. I'll be subscribing and following your adventures.
Hey y'all! Welcome to our channel and thanks so much for subscribing and watching! :) And we were definitely a nervous wreck carrying our cameras into the lagoon. 😅 We have our camera gear insured against water damage so if the absolute worst case scenario happens, we're covered.
Amazing videography! Whats crazy is that ice cave near Jokulsarlon is much smaller and darker than it was 2 years ago. It used to be massive!!! Other ones like Katla meanwhile are getting bigger and better. Nature is always changing and its wild.
Thank you so much!! And you're right, nature is incredible. It's crazy to think that the Iceland we saw when we were filming this video is different from what we'll see next time we're there!
I love Sigur Ros as well, did not know one of the members had a boutique. I’m heading to Iceland in October and I absolutely added that as a stop on my last day there 😊
We did a 9 day ring road series here and every corner was filled with wonderful moments. We can’t wait to go back. Greta video yall. We went in march and went counter clockwise. We got stuck in a blizzard in Myvatn everything shut down. Hahaha otherwise it was sooo magical. Looking forward to seeing it.
@@chrisandsarame and my wife are discussing where to go on vacations next year. We live in Brazil and it's a looong trip, but your experience reinforced our feeling about picking Iceland as our next big trip.
Nice vlogging..❤Please share the total trip cost..flight cost hotel food transportation and attractions cost..it will be quite helpful for visiting the iceland..
Hi there! thanks so much! I have several blog posts about our time in Iceland, specifically how much we paid for camping, the hot springs admission, etc. We got a good deal on flights (~$750 per person on Delta from Chattanooga, TN) which helped a lot. I'll link to some of our blogposts below so that maybe they'll help you plan your own trip there! :) Iceland on a Budget: www.chrisandsara.com/post/iceland-on-a-budget-6-money-saving-tips-for-visiting-iceland The Ultimate Guide to Planning Your First Trip to Iceland: www.chrisandsara.com/post/ultimate-guide-to-iceland Camping in Iceland: What to pack, costs, where to stay, and more: www.chrisandsara.com/post/camping-in-iceland Hope this helps! :)
Great video, but there’s noooo way Reykjavik is a 5 hour flight from Tennessee. It’s 5 1/2 hours from Boston lol. And there’s almost certainly no nonstop flights from BNA, let alone Chattanooga. Not being difficult but I’m scratching my head trying to figure out how you possibly got to KEF in such a short time span?
I'm so sorry that was confusing! We should have stated that we flew CHA -> ATL -> JFK -> KEF. From JFK -> KEF it was only 5 hours though! we had a great tailwind!

Our favorite vlog this year ❤ We’re happy you guys popped into our “RECOMMENDED” a few years ago.
Thanks so much!! :) We're honored y'all are still watching our vlogs years later!
I love an extra long vlog! Beautifully executed!
Yay! Thank you!
I love Sigur Rós. I saw them several years ago in Nashville. Iceland has been a Bucket List for so long. I have To Plan to go
I'm so jealous! I've always wanted to Sigur Ros live but the closest I've gotten is seeing Jonsi on his solo tour. Still really good though!
It is certainly a land of rugged beauty. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!

Oh that's such a bummer to hear! 😣 I'm adding Vok Baths to our list to checkout next time though. Thanks for the rec!

Jaw dropping! Which month you made this incredible road trip?

So Beautiful. You guys should do sleep stories.
Thank you! We've never thought about doing sleep stories but maybe that's something we should consider. Thanks for the idea!

How did you get those drone shots at Diamond Beach? Did you request for permission since it is prohibited to use drones there?
