தமிழ் சினிமாவின் முன்னோடிகள் எப்படி எல்லாம் தம் தொழிலை நேசித்தார்கள் என்பது மட்டுமல்ல ஒரு துறையை, மறு துறை எப்படி சேர்த்து வைத்து கொண்டாடியிருகிறது என்பது தெரிந்தது.

Berna Natsha Exactly. In malayalam- screenwriter and story writer are on par with director- even in movies with heroism. So many screenplay guys became directors too, Padmarajan, Lohitadas, Ranjit, etc. But in Tamil- the first thing ppl fix is the hero and everything else bcomes secondary! And then we hardly make stories from good books- Asuran being an exception. We have no food for thought

Think Pramid Natarajan sir tries to make a movie like Lusia done with crowd funding in Kannada film industry. Profit sharing model works beautifully in bollywood. Ex: Akshay kumar takes less initial amount and takes a %. This effort must be successful. Also wish Manobala sir to launch an OTT platform for Tamil movie industry. Ex: Aha OTT by Allu Arjun for Telugu industry. Deeply saddened by our industry's diversity. Killed Cheran's C2H effort. During Corona times, not much help from our TOP heroes to FEPSI. அமிதாப் பச்சன் contributed 3Crs. Ppl like Kamal Hassan must have come up with such innovative ideas to collect donations for industry's good.

Very good and honest interview Mano & Natarajan sir. It is not boring at all. And gave a very good reason for stopped producing films. But I think he is only fixing someone in mind about stardom actors/directors. He has grown from balachandar's school. He could look into low budget story oriented with new faces. who can stop in this way? Manal Kayiru was super duper hit. it was a low budget movie. so he need to analyze back why that was success. Anyway good to think about it
Thats cos in those days we had Script writers. Visu was one. Today can you name a script writer? Heroism has annihilated that category. When we have a strong story/script- you can take a low budget movie- why you can take an entire movie on iphone and make it engaging. Like C U Soon in Malayalam
