Oh my god this is exactly the same technique and formulation i use for clients who come in super brassy! So i'm a stylist based out of Texas and my little sister lives in LA.. i cant always make it out in time to see her and do her hair so the poor thing has been to 3 different stylists in LA (very expensive salons as well) and no one has been able to get it the way i do it which makes me so sad because then i have a stressed out sister that i cannot be there to fix. I stumbled upon your video because i was searching for a similar method to mine to show her to take to her next stylist and this is exactly what i usually do to her!! Sorry for the whole book i just wrote but you have no idea how happy i am to send her this or even send her your way.. I think she'd be willing to take the trip out there knowing that you guys work in the same manner i do and deliver top notch results! Made my day!

I love this and it's super helpful! I've been out of the salon for about a year and a half. I've missed out on a lot of newer education, so getting to watch the process a couple (like you said in the video) is awesome! I need a head of hair to try this on now! Lol

I have a question. Forgive me if it's dumb but I'm a student. If you use the 9p 9t formula on a yellow blonde would you need to pretone the yellow out since yellow plus the blue base makes green?

+precious1mnm Balayage can get bright, but not white blonde if you’re not a very light blonde to begin with.
I am in love with your color. I am doing this on my own hair....yes I am a stylist but I have had my hair messed up bad by the last person. I am stuck with this brassy mess. I was in tears for days so I am going to try this. I have already went to the supply house and bought all the product you used. I just need to see what you think about the time on the root smudging and if it should be wet like the video. I know that sounds stupid but I just have never done color wet.

When you do the low lights how do you keep it from darken the lighter pieces. My hair is all blonde was wondering if I could do the root smudge and low lights without highlighting because I’m an all over blonde already

Hi Alexsis, A few months ago I dyed my hair into a balayage ashy sunkissed color. My natural hair color is a dark brown. But later on, I want to do an ashy dark gray color? What do you recommend as a professionalist, to get that color?

What toners did you use for the blonde? And was the root smudge shades? How long did you leave it before washing out ?
+Megan Danielle the toner and everything listed was in the beginning on the picture. Toner and root smudge timing is different for every persons hair, I normally do around 10 minutes for toner and the same for a smudge root. But it depends on the clients hair.

+Heather DeWitt I did! I use it to dilute the toner so I can leave it on longer otherwise it would over tone the hair.
Do you stay near your natural level because of regrowth? Because that's what I do too!

Alexsis Mae I wanted to do a blonde color melt but I'm just worried the light blonde won't look good. My natural is a warm 6 and I have a level 8 right now but I've never been lighter 😅 love your videos by the way!

Does the shadow root help to blend grays? Did you just use redkens demi line?
The Shades EQ cream lime can but must be done on dry hair, this was just done to soften any harsh lines.

it has a designated solution to go with the EQ line

she seemed a bit rough 8:43. I personally dont like it when hairstylist pull on the hair to separate it.

Jessica Gemma it was specified.... it said 1:1r next to the smudge root. I'm assuming it's because he regular ratio is 1:2.
Where did you see the lowlight ratio is 1:2?
