Love it. I'm holding off buying a DataLooper pedal for Ableton Live until I know more about how such a thing might work on Logic. Thank you for all the great info. It's definitely going to help inform my setup going forward!
That is starting to become a superb series on how to use this live looping function in LogicX. Very helpful!!! Thanks!!! The only thing is that my setup view is not the same as yours. When I hit the smart control with the new track, I cannot see the cell at the top. Must find a way to change my view if I want to follow along in your video!!!
@@BenRowlandsMusic I did used it in the past but wasn't sure about it. Didn't get the response I was looking for, it was kinda lagging on certain things. Now, with the loop, ti seems to react better and it is a nice add-on to the looping setup. I'm going to experiment again with it.
Thank you!! Definitely more to come! If you want more right now, I literally just launched a Logic Live Loops - Logic Pro X 10.5 Update Course that you can find over here: www.udemy.com/course/logic-live-loops-logic-pro-x/?referralCode=3597DD205A406F06887B Glad you enjoy these videos! Thanks for the support on TH-cam! All the Best, Ben
Thanks for another great video man! I've been loving the new update! Im sure you've already thought of this but I've midi mapped the nektar pacer to work with live loops...pedal 1&2 = Select Next track/select previous track... 3&4 = Select next scene/select previous scene...5 = Trigger focused scene and 6 = record into cell...so if you set the cells up in the inspector...you can loop without even touching the laptop...however I've found its not quite as fluid as working with the RC505 or 300 as all the loop lengths have to be pre determined...still really great though. Would be nice to have an undo. Do you know if you can midi map buttons C and D on the Nectar Pacer? Because when I try to midi map that it keeps going to the next preset which I guess is what its supposed to do?
That's a great idea using your Nektar Pacer! I must get round to trying that out! I think there is a way to change the function of those buttons if I remember right. Bit it isn't very intuitive to get it working. I think the manual explains it, that might help you out.
Ben Rowlands Music YES please Ben can we have a Pacer setup viddy? Also i seem to remember you mentioning waaaayyy back about RC505 ghost part/blank loops that set the overall length of the other loops? Would a similar approach in this Logic update achieve this for Tyler Sound? Jb xx
Hey Ben, thanks for this awesome channel, I am learing A TON! Also, you have beautiful hair. I just got the remote set up on my old iPad, but I don't have "live looping" as an option on in the view menu, and can't figure out why? I'm using LPX 10.5.1.

Is it possible to transition from one song to the next on logic remote for a live setlist?
Thank you so so much for this! Just saved me from buying another controller lol

Can you use a foot switch to activate a recorded loop?
