Ha no idea how I got here but have the same bike and year to the T. I love the black and white color way and you do not see many on the road. I did take off all the stickers all but the tank and K.I.B.S on the front fender. Just hit 30K and still a rocket. Moore Mafia tune, ceramic wheel bearings, Two Bro's full exhaust, 520 Vortex conversion kit and a whole host of goodies. So glad they have awesome LED light kits now days, no more wires or ballast to deal with. Also Have a ZX10R but find this way more fun to hit the track and backroad twisties. Cheers
Awesome man ! Glad I could be of some help . One thing I will tell you though . If you notice sometime down the road your hids stop working once and awhile .. install a relay to help power them up . Sometimes for power that the bike supplies to the ballast isn't enough which will damage the balast and stop it from igniting the bulb .
@tushal ... I actually have a car electronic supplier that I deal with for remote starters, security and accessories, I just picked up some bulbs from there ... its a really nice touch deff a good choice .... They're made by street glow. If that helps :)
Hey, the LEds are an easy swap, but in the spring time I will make a new video and let you know when its up :). As for those LEDS, I got them on a side called TMART.com .. however they're not the best quality, look great, but after some time they will explode lol .. it happened to a friend of mine on his s1000RR . I took them out because I didn't want pieces of bulb all over the inside of my head light .. I since switched to Street Glow LED's which look just as good, I'll include them in a new video i'll make in the spring.
Kick ass bike dude, I think I'll be picking up the black 2015 ZX-6R next year. I subbed because I'd like to see more videos. Really diggin the white, and that red in the amber headlights is really awesome. 1 thing I needed to critique you on was your "uhm"s. I counted uhm 95 times. Would like to hear less of that in the future :)
Lmao yeah I do that a lot ha .. and after I realize that I do it .. lol .. thanks for the compliments ! . I'll try to get more videos up soon .. I'll be going on a few more rides soon so I'll have a few more rides recorded ! . I also have a track day video I made so that'll be up soon !
I just ordered a Two Brothers Silver Series exhaust. I agree with you about the M4 looming good, but the M4 has more of an annoying tone to me. It's all about preference. The M4 is also cheaper (price). Good video, man. Are you going to black out your windscreen?
Nope ! . Haven't had any problems with them on the bike . They're made by street glow . They're not too bright but add a nice touch of red to the bike . :D
Hey buddy, I got the same bike a month back - i need a link to the red tell tale lights that are also known as day time running lights that you got from ebay...can you help please? I'm in the process of adding the same red highlights and subtle touches where possible. Cheers mate, happy riding from Auckland, New Zealand.
Nice video man, my HID's came today. I love your running lights. I am looking at getting some Green LED's for mine. Can you tell me where you got yours from, also what type of LED I need to get. As I don't really understand lights/bulbs etc. Thanks man, and the bike looks great!
Hey Pablo .. I just used the factory wiring for the balast .. I wouldn't recommend it though I would add a relay . Use battery power and battery ground and use the headlight positive wire as the trigger wire . To power the relay. I always found that my balast wouldn't work at times.
Drew S Ok thanks I am using a relay harness I just haven't found a good enough spot to ground off to up front since each headlight has it's own ground wire about a foot long. Hopefully I'll finish it today so I can see the big difference on my way to work tonight. You get your exhaust yet? I was thinking M4 on mine too until I seen the Firetong video here on TH-cam
Hey Will .... they're just a no name brand I got from tmart.com, but they're not the best, if you get a bad batch, they explode lol .. it happened to a friend of mine with an s1000rr ... I took them out, and purchased a street glow set, which look just as good. And they don't explode lol
I got a HID kit in mail, I know about the negative and positive and if you miss match, you can blow a fuse. Could you help me on the wiring? possible which color goes to which.
Hey man no problem. Sorry about the delayed reply as well ... so if you look at the harness plugged into the bulb itself ... there's a right and left pin ... the right side pin on the bulb is your negative wire ... and the pin on the left is your positive wire . I hope this makes sense man .
Shift-Light awesome man . Trust me you're going to love it ! . Sounds so good and doesn't get annoying . My m4 kind of got annoying after longer rides .
Hey Eddie ... I just went with the plug and play option ... but I wouldn't recommend it .. my ballast would always burn out ... A resistor isn't needed bit I would definitely recommend using a relay to power the balast ... it's a little more work but it will lengthen your balasts life span :)
Hey man, sorry for the delay I was at work lol ... Pretty simple , take of the two small plastic pieces under the handle bar, once removed, simply pull on the two little rubber "Sockets" that the corning lights are in .. To reinstall, simply slide them back in, make sure the lights are snug or else they'll fall in... its a PITA to gt them out lol .. Hasn't happened to me, but I know someone that it happened to ... lol
Just installed the running light HID, i'll do the other one either later or tomorrow. the positive and negative positions will be switched on other side right?
Drew S I did a night test of HIDs and they are great, The passing feature for the HID does not hinder the brightness, It comes out the brightest when its warmed up, I guess since it was warmed up it came out that way. I know you were probably thinking of delayed HID turn on because of how they are.
Shift-Light yes that's right if they're warmed up already they should be instantly bright . But if it hasn't been warmed up it may take a few seconds to brighten up !
Oh really ?? You know what you can do .. check the metal spring tab that holds the light bulb in the headlight .. If that's not put back a certain way .. it could cause the light to be loose ... If not that . Maybe the HID bulb is the cause .. you could use a spacer .
John Pollard yup that would do it ... I never had that issue ... but I know a few people that have had that issue ... and bending the ring clamp helped !
the high beam isn't brighter than a low beam. It just points upward. Having an HID for the high beam is just going to point up a little bit. Yes it will take a few seconds to fully turn on making the pass feature useless. If you get one for the high beam side too then just keep both on all the time. I have a 2014 636, and what I did was I lowered the high beam side to point down a little making it another low beam, and I keep both on all the time.
+Heidelberg Mattes +Heidelberg Mattes I was not talking about the brightness of different bulbs or kits. A high beam isn't brighter than a low beam. It's just pointed upward. Google it
Should have used LED headlights instead of HID, so you can keep the high beam in the same bulb also, they will flash no problem unlike HID which you can't. All BMW and Audi use LED now, HID is the past.

Orange corner lights look good. This is my next bike for sure. Ride safe
Hey, they're not an important feature for anything, but they do provide a brighter light at night, much better then the factory halogen lights !
Your video helped me out, installed my HID today and didn't know which socket was positive, turned out good in the end
Awesome man ! Glad I could be of some help . One thing I will tell you though . If you notice sometime down the road your hids stop working once and awhile .. install a relay to help power them up . Was these H7 or H11?
@tushal ... I actually have a car electronic supplier that I deal with for remote starters, security and accessories, I just picked up some bulbs from there ... its a really nice touch deff a good choice .... They're made by street glow. If that helps :)
Hey, I actually got them off of Ebay, they're pretty good quality, I've already washed them a few times and still hold their color :)
Love the combo zx6r with an si I'm rolling with the 2013 636 KAWI green with a murdered out Honda fa1 👍👍👍👍
nice !!! I traded in my civic though :( . I got a new jeep wrangler now haha :D
@savage yes I agree, I went with the M4 exhaust .. but changed it up, as you may have seen in my previous videos . :)
I really like your touch on the red LED at the front. Could you make a quick video showing how to do it? or where to get them from?
Hey, the LEds are an easy swap, but in the spring time I will make a new video and let you know when its up :). Great car, great bike. Love yer garage bud 👌
Will do the high beam maybe tomorrow
Have the 12zx6r - travel to TO often! Never on bike but someday! Btw, what brand HIDs did you install?
I just ordered a Two Brothers Silver Series exhaust. I agree with you about the M4 looming good, but the M4 has more of an annoying tone to me. It's all about preference. The M4 is also cheaper (price). Good video, man. Are you going to black out your windscreen?
which HID kit is this and where did you get it, and what kind of led do i need to replace the stock ones for the pilot lights
Where did you get the ninja wrist bands??
hey, I just recently bought a 636 in lime green, what is the purpose of the HID?
hey i saw ur previous video one question y did u changed the oem tank pad?
Where did you get the red led lights?
I'm pretty sure that they don't really serve an important purpose, just brighter lights?
Just wondering why dont people just get 5000k HIDs? Dont need to have a ballast or anything and I dont really notice a major difference between the 2
Have you gotten pulled over for those RED LED LIGHTS? I have the all black ninja and those RED would look nice on my bike...let me know pls...thanks
Nope ! . Haven't had any problems with them on the bike . They're made by street glow . They're not too bright but add a nice touch of red to the bike . :D

Hey buddy .. If you haven't figured it out yet . The bulb is a 198 "peanut bulb" .. and thank you for the compliments !
The zx6r has projectors?
if I order HID for zx6r 2011 is it fit on 2013???
I'm in the process of finishing off my. Install and I was wondering where you grounded off your ballast near the headlight?
Hey Pablo .. I just used the factory wiring for the balast .. I wouldn't recommend it though I would add a relay . Use battery power and battery ground and use the headlight positive wire as the trigger wire . To power the relay. I always found that my balast wouldn't work at times.

Drew S I'll make due lol, I found a video of a 09 zx6r and it shows wiring. hoping its similar.
Shift-Light cool man ! . Hope it works out for you !
Drew S
I got my 2 brothers ordered also, can't wait
Shift-Light awesome man . Trust me you're going to love it ! . Sounds so good and doesn't get annoying . My m4 kind of got annoying after longer rides .
Hey dude! Question? Did you use the relay and capacitor part of the kit? I got one with my kit and not sure if I need to use it or not. Thx!
Hey Eddie ... I just went with the plug and play option ... but I wouldn't recommend it .. my ballast would always burn out ... A resistor isn't needed bit I would definitely recommend using a relay to power the balast ... it's a little more work but it will lengthen your balasts life span :)
Thx! I'm working on it as we speak. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Eddie Cerrato Please do man . !good luck it'll be worth the patience !
Howd you get the corner lights out? Im doing the install now!

Just installed the running light HID, i'll do the other one either later or tomorrow. the positive and negative positions will be switched on other side right?
I do believe so ! . Either way if you plug it in and it doesn't work .. just reverse the wires . Nothing bad will come of this :)
Drew S
Appreciate your video, with some time i was able to figure it out. I'll put in the other one tomorrow =) its looking great.
Shift-Light no problem at all !!
Drew S I did a night test of HIDs and they are great, The passing feature for the HID does not hinder the brightness, It comes out the brightest when its warmed up, I guess since it was warmed up it came out that way. I know you were probably thinking of delayed HID turn on because of how they are.

Is your hid light a little loose in the housing ?
Nope I never had that problem . The bulb sits nicely, and doesn't move. Does yours ?
Yeah mines a little loose nothing crazy but it is loose
Oh really ?? You know what you can do .. check the metal spring tab that holds the light bulb in the headlight .. If that's not put back a certain way .. it could cause the light to be loose ... If not that . Maybe the HID bulb is the cause .. you could use a spacer .
I got it I bent the spring alittle to make it tighter against the bulb
John Pollard yup that would do it ... I never had that issue ... but I know a few people that have had that issue ... and bending the ring clamp helped !
Got it thanks man!
U mean another relay? My kit came with one for each bulb already bluestreaks 8000K
Oh my mistake ! . Never knew yours came with one . You're good then !
Yoshi exhaust gang over here but if I ever switch it will be M4

I never changed the high beam for that reason, I just changed the low beam . eventually i'll merge into an LED head light but for now, it'll do !
Is this HID 6000k ?
Yes they are :)
Cool man.....
yup you are correct lol !
Just wondering why dont people just get 5000k HIDs? Dont need to have a ballast or anything and I dont really notice a major difference between the 2
