Hurrah Pass and Chicken Corners Trail - MOAB UTAH OFFROAD

  • The Chicken Corners Trail begins where Kane Creek Road ends in Moab Utah. It goes up and over Hurrah Pass where you see hoodoos, balancing rocks, rock spires, massive boulders, and have great views of the valley below. Once off the pass, Chicken Corners Trail continues atop a mesa high above the Colorado River all the way to the dreaded Chicken Corner, where it's said that few are brave enough to drive. If you have what it takes you can make it to the end of this trail where you will be rewarded with amazing views of the Colorado River several hundred feet below you.
The scene in the movie Thelma and Louise, when they drive off a cliff into the Grand Canyon, was actually filmed right across the river from the end of the Chicken Corners Trail. That spot is now named "Thelma and Louise Point" by the locals.

Thanks for the video. We were there in April of 2018. Saw lots of familiar sites. Brought back some great memories. Loved the bighorn sheep on the other side of chicken corner.

We drove a rear wheel drive sprinter van down this road to get to a disc golf course at the bottom called base camp. It's almost all the way down to the Colorado river. I would never do it again haha talk about stressed out

That was awesome! I don’t think I could have walked through the narrow ledge.

Thanks! Even if you don't walk the ledge at the end, the view at the end is worth the drive.

Great vid! Will be doing a roadtrip to Utah for the first time next month. Do you think a Subaru Crosstrek with AT tires can manage that road?

Great video. Like the music and limited narration you did. Do you have any other recommendations for drives that are more scenery based? I don’t mind boring trail if the scenery is awesome. Thanks!

I've been on the way up to Hurrah Pass in a rain storm, that just kind of blew up out of nowhere. That road gets like ice with water on top. Needless to say there is a drop on one side that turns you inside out.....

If this trail is monotonous what do you consider exciting? Seems like easy pickings if you want a steak. Free range cows. Still looking for a chicken on the trail.

Once you get to the end, how tight is it to turn your rig around? We drive a full size GMC SUV (w/2"lift") Oh...and how many pair of underwear do I bring LOL
