    Thanks for highlighting this off-road trail. With only 2 full days in Moab, It helped me decide, among the many off-road trails, which trails were at the top of the list. Hurrah Pass>Chicken Corners has got to be one of the most scenic and not overly challenging. I rented a modded Jeep Rubicon from Canyonlands Jeep Rental, which was plenty capable. I don’t think I’d wanna do it in a stock Jeep (not one I owned anyway). I left 2 specially selected rubber chickens on the sign. The scenery on the way to the entry point for Hurrah Pass is awesome, a real bonus for this drive. I captured the entire drive out and back with a GoPro Hero 10 Black on a Hohem Gimbal, mounted to the hood with a pro suction mount as the A-camera; and a DJI Pocket 2 mounted to the windshield for the 45 degree side angle, that I controlled with the DJI Mimo app. Also used a Mavic 3 Classic for aerial video and a Sony a7r2 for the awesome panos. Every photo in this locale is a pano. One of the reasons this trail was selected is because, being BLM land, I could fly the drone… always a priority although, if you primarily use your drone for photos, you can capture a lot without a drone. There was one point where I got lost near some road to an Adventure camp in the valley. With a lot of sand trails in that area, I took the wrong one and ended up down close to the river driving through tight brush-lined trails. Some nice camping areas down there though.

    Kerry, I just spent a week vacationing in Moab and have been watching many of your videos leading up to me arriving. I wanted to say thank you for all the great narration and education of wheeling. You do it the right way. You gave me the confidence to come wheel a couple trails, including this one, Chicken Corners. It was super fun. Already planning to come back for a few days with friends to wheel and camp White Rim Trail.

    Love your videos. Looks like you could tow an overland trailer on this trail? Not as sketch as the White Rim.

      Yeah, it's a pretty easy trail

    I would guess "chicken corners" is not all that "scary". I've been on a lot of trails that were much more, let's say, troublesome. A piece of cake. :)

      I explain how it got it's name. It isn't because of a technical obstacle, it;'s because the tour vehicles would be inches from the 1,000' drop.

    What model drone are you using for your aerial views?

    • @TrailTraveler
      @TrailTraveler  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use a DJI Mavic 3 (only one used in this video) and the DJI Avata

    The real name of that trail is chicken corner without the S.
    The chicken corner is not the area you stated it's at the very end. The area that is a hiking trail. If you don't walk around it your chicken.

      That’s not what any of the guide books or online guides say, so that’s what I went with. I didn’t see any reference to it being at the end anywhere.

      @Trail Traveler Ya I know what you mean but I did the research.
      Google has tons of other information way beyond a few guide books.

      I have to decide which source to trust, and when 3 of the 3 I use all said the same thing, I was pretty confident in that. Thanks for letting me know though in case I do another video there someday.
