  • Veganism is not biblical - is this a myth or a fact?
Let's find out whether it is Godly to eat meat or not in this interesting video!

Regarding dietary practices, the Bible provides guidance on what is considered clean and unclean food in the context of Jewish dietary laws (Leviticus 11). While these laws do not explicitly address veganism, they do prohibit the consumption of certain animals, including those considered unclean. Some individuals may choose to interpret these laws as a basis for vegetarian or vegan diets, while others may view them as specific to the historical and cultural context of ancient Israel.
In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul addresses the subject of food in his letters, stating that all foods are permissible for consumption but advises against causing others to stumble in their faith. This passage suggests that individual dietary choices should be guided by personal convictions and consideration for others rather than a strict mandate.
Furthermore, the Bible emphasizes the importance of hospitality and sharing meals together, often including animal products. In various stories, Jesus is depicted eating fish and cooking fish for his disciples . These instances demonstrate the cultural practices of the time without explicitly promoting or condemning a specific dietary choice.
Ultimately, if one chooses to be vegan based on concerns for animal welfare and the environment, it can align with biblical principles of compassion, stewardship, and responsible treatment of animals.

Daniel diet/fast= Whole Food Plant Based Nutrition= prevention and reversal of disease. The evidence for it now is overwhelming! Also, yes animal protein increases risk of cancer via the mTOR - > IGF- 1 mechanism. Sure, it's worse to have factory farm raised animal foods, but even grass fed/pasture raised ones have this issue. Other issues with animal products= Heme Iron, Arachidonic Acid, TMAO, PAH's/HCA's, Endotoxins, etc. Not to mention the saturated fat, cholesterol as well, plus hormones/antibiotics! Thank you for distinguishing between animals raised in industrial farms (which are unhealthy) and animals raised in organic/free-range/pasture raised farms as God intended. Animal meat is not bad; what makes animal meat and dairy harmful to us, is if they are raised pumped with antibiotics/hormones, fed food that is unnatural to them and if they are kept from sunlight, not free to roam.

The issue I find with veganism is the meat substitutes they quite often eat that are processed and full of horrible things. I worked in a health food store that sold many of these vegan meat alternatives and the ingredients were awful. I also have a family member that is vegan and they always look very pale and don't look very healthy. They eat a lot of vegan meat substitutes and a lot of processed carbs. If a person is eating fresh produce and high quality grains and legumes, then yes, I can see how a vegan diet could be healthy. But unfortunately it seems that many vegans eat a lot of foods that aren't really good for them, and they would likely be healthier eating the real thing that they are trying to get a substitute for. I believe God gave us clean animals for us to eat for a good reason. I do believe that a lot of store bought meats haven't been raised well though. Most of our meat and all of our eggs are raised on our farm, and the other meats we buy, we try to buy from farmers that we know. My husband is also a hunter and he stocks our freezer each fall. I know these ways of getting meat aren't a possibility for a lot of people though, but I do encourage anyone who is able to buy from local farmers or to hunt or fish, to do so. It is very rewarding to hunt and forage/gather, just as people did in biblical days.

I don't consider myself vegan because I do eat some animal products like honey and such. So, I guess I am more plant based. I just know that the way most meat that is handled is done so horribly that it is very bad to ingest. I do have access, however, to a Kobe beef farmer through my local farmer's market, but have not used that resource. A lot of fruits and vegetables are now being modified and made to be seedless so that we can't regrow them and pesticide ridden and such. I am just praying to God that I can start growing my own food so that I know it's clean, and have animals that are clean to eat/eat from like a dairy sheep if I so choose.

I was sceptical when I saw this topic. I thought you would say that God commanded us to eat animals. He most certainly did not. That was not the original plan. It was only given as a concession, and okay is not equal to the best. And God's original is the best. People like to think that the only purpose of animals is to be of use to us. But animals were created for God's glory,to point is to Him. Isn't that why looking at mother animals and their babies makes us think of the mother love of God? I'm not against eating meat but it is not right to raise animals as if they were objects. It is not right to kill them inhumanely . What goes on inside these factory farms and industrial slaughter houses is in no way glorifying God. It is of Satan himself because many of the animals are conscious as they are thrown in to their gory deaths, their screams recorded by God. Didnt He say He sees the sparrow fall? That is how we know God sees all this. Also we have the story of Balaam hitting his donkey when he was angry. That was not ignored by God. Proverbs says that good people are kind to their animals but wicked people are cruel to theirs. How can we eat tortured flesh and expect it to be a blessing to our bodies? As consumers we need to make a statement. We need to make sure animals are treated well, because how we treat them is a reflection of who we are. In the old testament God commanded animal sacrifice and for people to partake of it, not because animals don't mean anything, but because it represents the fact that God would one day send His only Son,who would die just as a lamb would, only the sufferings of Jesus cannot be compared to anything else. Animal sacrifice was a shadow of this great act of love. And now that God has done this, there is no more reason for sacrifice or for eating meat. It was actually supposed to be a painful thing,to see the lamb that you had bonded with, being killed because of your sins, and having to eat that as well. It all points to Jesus. But todays ways are inhumane. Nobody knows or cares how the animals are raised and killed. And that's wrong. Daniel avoided meat for moral reasons. The moral reasons are compelling. The only reason there are so many health disadvantages to eating meat is ultimately linked to the moral reasons.
And I'm not even vegan, but this is what I have received from the Bible. If we Christians start questioning these practices, the world would quickly become a better place not only for the animals but for all of us.
Thank you for your informative video. God bless you.

The problem is that people today associate Veganism with a diet. It's not a diet. It is a philosophy, and the people that follow this philosophy are called vegans. Veganism has been hyjacked! It's more focused on a diet. There was no veganism in the bible. Yes, in the beginning, YAH did give man a plant diet, but later on gave a diet for the Israelites to eat. He told them which animals they could eat (set-apart clean animals), and he told them which not to eat (unclean). Thr other people of the earth could eat what they wanted, but for Israel, he gave a diet. It was a commandment, and is still one to this day. So, if you want to eat plantbased, there is nothing wrong with it. If you want to eat meat, not wrong with that either. It's when you start trying to put the philosophy of veganism on to YAH's word. He did not tell his people to follow veganism. Now, it is wrong to mistreat humans and animals! It's wrong to mistake YAHUAH'S creations. So, lets not do it. HalleluYAH! All praises to your King!
