Getting called out by a video made especially for me was quite mortifying. I'm disappointed Eric didn't get mentioned for saying Italians are, "the worst people on the planet", and Brie didn't know the Italian flag. Having my own task to visit 5 Italian restaurants was fun, and I'm glad I completed it.
So this is from something of series 1? If so, which episode is it from? I hadn't noticed TM:MN until a couple of weeks ago when it popped up in my YT recommendations
@@theplasmawolfit's from the first task in S1E2: Recreate the lore of a board game. Also, if you haven't watched S1 yet, it's amazing. If you don't have time to watch it all, watch the task that begins at 29 Minutes in Episode 4. It has one of the greatest moments across any Taskmaster version
As someone who lives in Minnesota, every episode without fail makes me think three things: 1. I can't believe I missed the season 2 recording 2. I really hope season 3 has an in-person recording open to the public 3. How do I become friends with David?
"I embodied the essence of a squirt" needs to be on a t-shirt. Love to see the previous prediction that Parker would go on the roof finally came to pass. Also I appreciate the Monty Python and the Holy Grail music during Ian's musical instrument segment
The Taskmaster gives approval for creativity that follows rule of the written task. Squirt - yes. On the tarp - yes. Ambiguity is always in the wording, as everyone can see on our show. But keep up the effort. We applaud you
Another very fun episode, I will miss this season when it ends. Jacksons musical Instrument/instrument of torture was on the same level as all the times Rhod Gilbert tied up and messed with Alex. Truly it is the modern day Piganino
Weekly greetings from the UK! As is so often the case, it's the tasks with the lowest initial cash expenditure and simplest setup that are most effective. The balloon task was pure genius, both in design and execution! It's also good to know the cash value of points from the perspective of the typical (?) American college student (Al Murray already showed the value to professional British comedians)... As someone who never gets riddles, I am in awe of the contestants getting anywhere at all with the escape room task! (That said, I'd have recognized the flags, if only I'd've known to look for them...)
So so much to comment on. Once again, absolutely incredible episode. Prize task randomly in the seventh episode. Glad nobody drank the soap. I still have no idea why Correos did that. Parker going up on the roof terrified me. Poor Ian, I can't believe he got second place, though. The instrument task. Oh my god, the instrument task. I used to play French Horn in high school! GREAT line from Cole, about three being more than two. Thought he was making that "box inside of another box" from Emperor's New Groove. Ian couldn't beat the coconuts, but dang, I really liked the sound. Eric. What the hell. That was so entertaining. Lactose intolerance should not have been relevant to that task. Not the first time I've been Rickrolled this week. (Work radio played it.) Love the Vomaphone. Jackson. You defile the French horn. And then you defile the David. I actually screamed out loud. And then he started heating the spoon up with fire. I gasped, and did not pick my jaw up from the floor the rest of the task. I really think the French horn part added nothing to the "David taped to a funnel" part. But oh my god. Escape room would have taken me ages. Fantastic puzzles, though. "After all that, pronouncing the word workchestyshure won't stop me." "... murder them in cold blood." Cue excited noises, Brie clapping and giggling. Great task. Great psychological warfare from Jackson and Eric lmao. "Look straight ahead. Look how dumb you look." Everyone did well, I think. But damn, Brie. "All the answers are on the task." YES. Great episode, congratulations to Brie and Parker for the thirty bucks.
These episodes just keep getting better and better! David's excitement and relief at finally finding Brie's balloon was hilarious and makes me wish we could see him as a contestant. I think that task was the happiest we've seen Brie OR David... for very different reasons.
this show has always been good but these past couple of eps have been just bangers upon bangers, i’m really gonna miss these folks when the season ends! balloon task is my favorite this episode, love the variety in approach, and also the fact that the contestants had a lot of fun being mean (affectionate) to david the message from dejan at the beginning made me laugh-cry lmao what a throwback
Imagine someone named you their balloon like JFK and just sat there shaming david for killing then or some other leader. When Martin was given I was kinda hoping they’d say Martin Luther King Jr.
These "vs. assistant" tasks never fail to deliver - I loved how they all came up with great solutions, and David getting the rare chance to play as the antagonist
This season really is getting better and better as it goes on! I don't think I've ever laughed so hard after getting rick-rolled, and both Parker and Eric losing a task they could've won with a little self-restraint makes me wanna die... but like in a good way
I didn't think anything particularly interesting would happen during the instrument task. Was I ever wrong. Your commitment to the bit was stunning, and the "Oh no" was perfect. I didn't follow Carters logic that a soundboard already existed, as if maracas, percussion, and horns didn't. Brie was the only one to do anything actually musical. 5th place was a travesty, lol.
Love this show but as a women's hockey fan saying that Minnesota's Hockey teams never win because your NHL team doesn't win is just incorrect. The Minnesota Whitecaps won both the Clarkson and the Isobel cups!!!! Minnesota has some of the strongest WoHo culture and players in the US and it rules! You could've brought in their terrifying mascot lol
@@TaskmasterMN - I should add that I don't think Minnesota is bad, just that, we're not lesser Americans, you know? I have thoroughly enjoyed watching TM Minnesota and really hope you'll keep doing this! I am on board for "THIS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED THE REAL TASKMASTER US"
At 8:41 Owen says "We all know Canada is just greater Minnesota." Referring to size and location in relation to Minnesota. We all joke that we're just south Canada here.
For the balloon task, my immediate idea was to carefully untie the end of the balloon so that it deflates most - but not all - of the way. Then you can stuff it inside a jar of mayonnaise in the fridge, or anywhere else David would never think to look because it's too small.
I had the same idea as Eric, only I would have used the same name too, and fully committed to the false end strategy, maybe even with multiple decoys if possible. I figured finding more identical balloons would have been a longshot though, but apparently he lucked out.
@@TaskmasterMN I have five kids - so I've had to untie and retie balloons many times. Of course, if you tied it too tightly, I'd have let it be, but I'd have at least taken a look and considered it :)
Ah! I just thought of another idea. I remember learning once - though I have not tested it - that if you put a piece of Scotch tape on a balloon and poke a hole in it through the Scotch tape, it slowly deflates instead of bursting. That's even more high-risk, in case it isn't true. But if it is true, and I had gotten another balloon on which to test it so I could be confident enough to risk it, then that's a backup plan to make the balloon smaller should I fail to untie it. Of course, I didn't think of it until several days later. :p
I think giving Jackson 1 point for the soap task was the right outcome. The task technically was just "squirt the furthest distance", he squirted it onto his hand so like 1cm, and then moved the squirt to the tarp hence making that squirt his attempt per the other task rule

i'm so glad i found this fantastic series yesterday, have already binged everything! i've binged many seasons of the official show that are much less enjoyable than this. incredible work and production, especially the tasksetting; they need to hire you guys as consultants fr. plus i found parker's art from this and it's so fresh and exciting i love finding talented people and that includes everyone in these videos too, you all are great!
OWEN!!! Very excited, he was one of my favorites last season. Also nice new location. I see it's Ian's turn with the Boisvert shirt. EDIT: WHEEZING. I'm so checking out this guy's version.

I thought Jackson's musical instrument was very inspiring in that it gave David the authentic taskmaster assistant experience.
Brie locking the TM assistant completely outside feels even more satisfying than the door blockade in "throw a ball at Alex" task. I'm giggling along.
The ungodly noise coming out of Parker's instrument nearly killed me 😂
A deeper version of an Aztec death whistle
It also looked like it was a bong 😂

I'd guess David didn't have a coconut lying around.
Best soundbite ever.
For one horrible second I genuinely thought all the points were going to the baby.
I had to pause the video after that Twisted Nerve sting and the zoom in on the Mexican flag, I was laughing too hard!
Jackson's musical instrument proves that David is as freaky as Alex
I don’t think I'll ever be able to erase the image of David Correos drinking watered down sunscreen from my brain

Great episode as always, watching from Worcestershire England xD
As much as Little Alex Horne allows to demean himself during tasks, I don't think even he would agree to the Horn de Sade. Bravo.
Only one way to find out
If a contestant did that on og taskmaster Greg would just directly hand them the trophy
You really think the guy who sat pantless on an entire cake, wouldn't do that? I think you're underestimating (or overestimating?) LAH.

All the bonus points in the world for using a French Horn, the best instrument in the world. :)

Exactly! And unless this ruling is corrected my congressman will be receiving a strongly worded letter!
Yup, 1cm, the squirt stopped when it hit his hand. The task didn't say it'd be measured from the tarp, only that it'd count if it hit the tarp.
That does mean that anyone could have used their longest practice attempt if they'd made that bit of soap hit the tarp afterwards
Jackson read instrument and assumed it was short for "instrument of torture"
