A group of 6 contestants battle it out in a series of wacky and hilarious tasks to be crowned as the grand Taskmaster champion!
This week, Parker hurts his family's strong enamel and discovers a new president, Cole attempts a daring heist, Ian recreates a niche indie movie, Brie turns to the vacuum, Eric shares a culinary delight, and Jackson makes David his puppet.

Truly the greatest moment in taskmaster history was Carter giving Eric’s point to the baby and then Eric remaining behind the baby for two rounds
That was most excellent Taskmaster content.
As someone from the UK, I genuinely didn't think I'd see another version that even held a candle to the UK version. And somehow this unofficial filmed-on-a-shoestring budget has managed it. Incredible work, everyone involved should be so proud of themselves. It's honestly between this and the New Zealand version for my favourite non-UK taskmaster series. Awesome job!
Taskmaster Australia is really good too. Which, as a New Zealander is hard to admit lmao.
My man really got a tatoo for the banter section and only got a 5 second chuckle
This episode has that classic Taskmaster feel of: I don't know who these people are. This is new, I'm stressed out, where's Ben, it's not going to be good- and then by the end of the episode it feels just so quintessentially Taskmaster that you're shook you ever doubted it.
"why are there so many lamps?"
"sometimes it gets dark"
"The pizza had five ingredients, and there was no combination of even *two* that went together" sounds exactly like something Alex Horne or Paul Williams would come up with. You absolutely nail the "diligent administrator" part of the TA role.
I must admit. Ian swapping the candy from the baby like it's a jewel heist was incredibly funny
This show is genuinely just as funny as the real thing, and as someone who is in a region that doesn't have it's own flavour of Taskmaster, I almost NEVER know who the people on the show are. It brings me endless joy to know that we get a second season of this master work.
David actually makes such a perfect Alex Horne/Paul Williams as well.
CARTER AS TASKMASTER IS A STROKE OF GENIUS
Parker, resembling a gloved sheet ghost, frantically and wordlessly groping around a speedboat, is the hardest I've ever laughed at any episode of Taskmaster, amateur or official.

TH-cam algorithm, do your magic - David deserves it. Longterm UK Taskmaster nerd here, stumbled on season 1...time passed...Taskmaster The People's Podcast happened, David is a guest: Season 2! To the comments on 'permission', I suspect Alex is more 'permit & plagiarize' than 'cease & desist'; would love to see some of this make it into official TM canon. Probably the NZ version as they don't appear to have Health & Safety regulations either.

So utterly blown away by how good this was, and how hopelessly engrossed I became watching it. As a Minneapolis local, I take such pride knowing such awesome people so close are doing such a great show!

This is absolutely goddamn incredible. Longtime fan of the original show, and this somehow manages to do it justice without a cast of professionals or a major budget.
The American taskmaster adaptation returns!
Nah fam, the American adaptation sucked. Taskmaster MN is way better.
Yeah, to me, this series is the closest the US has come to an actually good adaptation of Taskmaster.

I really enjoy Eric’s approach to tasks so far. Ripping the tape off for the feather task is genius. Making the best pizza to watch David eat was a great twist. And picking all those modifiers for bowling was hilarious.
Parker’s stealing candy task is the hardest I’ve laughed in a long time. I love the cut to him in the kayak.
I think you absolutely nailed it. Video and audio quality is noticeably improved over the first season. Your editing is phenomenal, and does what you want it to do-elevate and augment the footage. The Chef's Table montage was a showcase of effort, but I have to mention just how good your editing for comedic timing has become (the quick cut after Eric's "not the pins!" is just one of many great comedy cuts in the bowling task alone). Your banter and unhelpful awkwardness as the Assistant are note-perfect. The contestants are energetic and funny. Even the thumbnail is legit. This is really, really, *insanely* impressive for a non-professional production. Congratulations and thank you.
God I can't believe I forgot to mention how good the tasks were. Excellent designs in general, and I really liked the recurring element of the contestants getting to decide how difficult to make things for themselves. It's so good!

Genuinely made me laugh out loud! I kept imagining Little Alex Horne watching like a proud papa.
One of my favorite things is when alex gets involved in the tasks! I love yalls lean into that aspect, the bowling wiggling scene is perfect
I love that the third task is basically just David having people come to his house to make him dinner 😅. This is my first time seeing this and I'm absolutely watching season 1 now. Shocked at the vibe and I love the tasks and David. The bringing in the pizza was great
+10 points for the Fishes of Minnesota poster! (It may well have been in the cabin anyway, but the shot of it near the beginning was an excellent moment of connection with TM UK and NZ.) And once again, David has proven himself a genius of task creation. If the professional TM crew ever have another go at an American series, I would recommend him for a Task Consultant, no trouble at all!
Honestly, I feel like TM MN is the real TM US. The energy is perfect, and David makes such a good Alex character. His wit is sharp and fast, and the task ideas are just as creative as the UK shows.

Carter was my fav from season 1 and I am so glad to see him back and as the Taskmaster! He does an amazing job in this episode with the banter. Hats off to you David, for making something that has been such a delight to watch and captures the spirit of Taskmaster so perfectly!
I only discovered Taskmaster UK last year, ad I've been devouring every bit of it that's available. This version is absolutely brilliant. Not to badmouth anyone, but I found Season 1 of TM Minnesota more entertaining than S1 of one of the official spin-offs. Looking forward to the rest of S2! Kudos!!

Since everyone else has covered praising the actual content of the show, I'll instead praise your collection of boardgames. Not merely Codenames but her quirky sibling Decrypto as well; the lovely mess of negotiation that is Sidereal Confluence, one of the best mid-weight euros in Concordia, and another all-time favorite of mine in Galaxy Trucker!
Love the original taskmaster, but really love this version - back in my student days we did versions of big brother & survivor, so could absolutely imagine us putting something like this together. I know how much work you must have put into it, so I hope your reward is how much fun you had and knowing there is appreciation from all around the world. (Thailand here)

This was absolutely fantastic.
You guys are wonderful comedic talents - I lost track of how many times I had to rewind because I was laughing so hard I missed what happened next. The tasks were simultaneously original, inspired, and perfectly in the spirit of Taskmaster, such that I could genuinely see Alex coming up with them himself. The editing is top-notch, as it was last season, and the audio quality much improved.
A tour de force. Well done. *Very* well done. Next week I'll want to prepare in advance for the release so I can participate in the chat.

I love cooking tasks on Taskmaster because I immediately pause the video and come up with my own solution before I watch any of the contestants. In the case of this one, I would steer East Asian and do a teriyaki salmon pizza.
Also, fans of Homestar Runner will surely appreciate 12:45 .
this showed up in my feed and i’ve just marathoned s1, and i’m so thoroughly charmed by this version that i was actually a little sad about not being able to see the cast again! so imagine my excitement in finding out some folks did come back-carter not only being the new taskmaster but also bringing that DRIP, david somehow looking even taller and actually imposing, luke being behind a camera, and my boy parker being cooler than ever before 😳
love seeing how much the production value has improved, the tasks are great as always, and i absolutely can’t wait to meet these new contestants. congratulations, david and the rest of the team!!
I legitimately got more excited to see this pop up on my feed than I did for the last season of OG Taskmaster. Way to kick off the season with an absolute banger! I got so much genuine joy and laughter from the antics in this episode and the creativity you guys have coming up with these tasks is fantastic. I can't wait to see the next one!

Edit: just finished the episode and I'm in love with all of you guys already. The humor is on point, the creativity while task solving is, dare I say, better than most og TM contestants, and you just seem like a bunch of very likeable, genuine and fun to be around people. Keep it up, let's hope the algorithm helps give this the attention it deserves!

Hi David and the gang, a few words from a Brit who's enjoyed the original TMUK since day one all those years ago (and seen at least some, usually all, of all the international versions). David, I must add to the voices in praise of your talent, energy, skill and general vibe. I was bowled over by the sheer inventiveness of so many of your tasks last season, prepared with zero budget but tons of creativity, and I look forward to more this time around. You were really asking for trouble with "Annoy David" but luckily your friends clearly like you enough not to have gone too far and that's a feather in everyone's cap. But that was last year, "steal candy from this baby" was mindblowingly simple, though I think you could have done it better as a secret team task with each contestant setting traps for someone else. And that "pizza" looked disgusting, you were clearly channeling Alex H. with your ability/desire to eat revolting things and I hope there's more of that to come :D
Amazing job hitting all of the vibes that make Taskmaster great while still making it unique and Minnesotan. I liked the decision to skip the prize task and just do more recorded tasks, I'd rather win a jar of pesto than anything anyone has ever brought in for a prize task!

As a well documented Anglophile I of course have watched all episodes of every version of Taskmaster filmed around the world. Your show is very funny with tasks worthy of the holy of holys, Taskmaster UK . I have no influence of course over who gets hired as I’m a senior citizen in CT

Brilliant as always. I loved Eric just having you throw the baby into the lake, just an incredible instinct and image (even before the reveal that he couldn't get it back). My first thought on the feather one was also to use the vacuum, and my first thought on the pizza task was also to just use indian food. The bowling one looked genuinely fun (I think I'd have gone for every modifier except for the trivia).

As a hardcore taskmaster fan, kudos to you! David is coming into his own with his assistant style, the pacing and chemistry are really coming together and the editing flourishes are impressive! Great show!

Just found your channel while scouring TH-cam for more Taskmaster content. I've already watched the first season, and after this episode I think the second one will be a blast! I love how Carter took over as Taskmaster, and that could be a cool little addition if you're able to do more seasons after this. Especially given the college grouping...make it like a tradition or something. :) Anyway, I really appreciate the work everyone went through for this, especially David. You can tell he loves the original Taskmaster and is putting a lot of heart and work into making this a worthy addition to the Taskmaster name, rather than a hasty knock-off. I genuinely look forward to watching the rest of this season, and thank you for the massive effort of putting this out. Also, the tattoo is actually kinda awesome. lol

This was great! The tasks here were on another level, truly inspiring!! I can see all of them on the original Taskmaster, and I hope they pick the baby one.
My favourite moment has to be Eric loosing the baby because I laughed out loud so much I had to pause. And Parker is always so so bold it's compelling how much he dreams big.
However, I do have to say that I think Eric was robbed on the feather task, I would have done the same. 😂

I am loving this season. I'm so impressed with the variety of tasks, editing, and contestants. The bowling alley task was my favorite, but the feather task is a close second. Putting the baby on the scoreboard had me rolling. Excellent job!

In a task about a feather, someone asked whether paper is made of air, and what I first heard was "It's made of hope" rather than what was actually said, "It's made of pulp." Yes, I live in Emily Dickinson's old neighborhood!
