I'd pay $1400 for a Captiva blue Si all day long! One year color and they don't come up often. Good luck with the car.

B series would be a nice nostalgia build but like you said, todays market is crazy! I’ve switched over to the darkside and k is definitely the way! There are a ton of budget friendly parts from mounts all the way to engine harness and fuel system. May cost around the same as a full b series but plenty reliable and nice power. 200-240whp with simple bolts ons and a tune depending on the engine. Another plus about k series is you can buy the swap parts as you go along and if you have a swap and mounts, all those parts can be installed after the engine is already in the car because of the amount of working space.

I completely agree with you 👍🏻👍🏻. I’m actually making a list to make comparisons on these different options. A lot of people i’ve spoken to also prefer to go K. Saying that, I have some knowledge of k series because of my ep3 and i like it a lot. I appreciate your advise a lot 🙏🏻

no problem, if you have any questions feel free to ask. I am currently building a 95 civic sedan and a 90 hatch Si both with k series swaps. Eg’s are the easiest platforms to put a k in since the have the subframe everyone uses in their ek’s aswell

    Great build.
For simplicity id keep the mini me.
If you willing to strip it all down and replace consider a b20 vtec Frankenstein conversion.
Not sure how crazy the market has gone in the usa with b20's.

The battery is completely dead and damaged so we were using a jumper pack, but it was also dead. It did turn on though when i turned on the car during the night and i let it idle, but I didn’t get to show the clusters.

You overpaid for that, man..... I mean, yeah, it's an si hatchback but that doesn't mean it's worth much if the whole rear quarter panels has a bunch of dents and rusted off (along with the other issues). It's not like a fender where you can just easily replace it with. Na'mean? With that said, as far as motor goes, just slap an eBay turbo on that sucker and call it a day. Keep it a shoestring budget build!

I get you, but I already have a regular car. I’m not rushing into getting it back on the road, I want take my time to restore it to the best of my abilities. Technically, budget is part of it, but I am also taking it slow and making sure that it’s going to be the way I envisioned it to be, and not just whatever. I appreciate your input though 🙏🏻
