- In this episode the previous store location gets shut down for good !Alex gets a grip on some cool guitar displays, A parking lot appears and we continue to move over to the new location WHEW!

Now seems the perfect time for a thorough accounting, documenting and getting an online website with at least a database of what you have for sale. With as many viewers as you have it seems a shame not to let them buy from your store even if you only do Canada only, smalls only or whatever you wish to do. You could be closed on a certain day to fulfill online orders. You could only choose to sell things that are durable, small for example license plates, fossils, ect...
I love when Josh and Jakota come out to work on Alex's project. I just love those guys and they're talents for creativity.
It's always good to see Josh and Jakota ❤️ I wouldn't know who they are if it wasn't for you guys, but it's a weird kind of comfort when they show up ❤️ same feeling when you're mentioned in one of their videos ❤️

Josh and Jakota are family that are more like brothers to Alex or so it feels the three of them work so well together! Alex is very lucky to have met them! Still wish they would get together and have their own channel! They could just get together and put a vid out one or twice a week about random stuff and chat it be hilarious! 😁

Yea but it really does need to be hinged, Sure as hell otherwise a customer will knock that off. Still looks really odd leaving the stove and sink in the middle of the store. Sure hope a customer doesn't turn that stovetop on....

I think I only have cried once during a Curiosity Inc video, when Mary got her farewell ride in the ambulance, and then cried in the first 3 minutes of this video without expecting it at all. When your dad popped his head in the door, I just needed to hug somebody, but everyone is at school and work, other than my sleeping baby! 😭

I lost my dad 6 years ago, and it just made me sad, suddenly, for everyone who lost their Daddy! 😭 I'm so glad he got footage of him, though ❤️ that's what I call a precious memory ❤️

Madnezz Channel Jakoda I love the name you chose for your channel. I know you're too young to probably have ever heard or seen this movie it's called " It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" but I think about it when people talk about madness (Madnezz). I think that would be a great idea to do a photoshoot if there's enough room once he gets everything moved over from the other store it looks like it's going to be a tight fit. I'm starting to think he might have to use the bear beams in the back room to display some items then use his little garage for storage of motorcycles and some of the larger items. I'm sure you and Josh can come up with something you're both so creative and very talented artist in your own way. It's funny how many people call you Dakota instead of Jakota but I guess you have an unusual name. Looking forward to seeing what you post on your Channel and seeing it grow as fast as Josh's channel has since Alex introduced him to the world of Alexander's Curiosity Inc. The Three Amigos I think is a good name for y'all. LOL We love you guys you work so well together. 😍

Can't do that until the zoning change goes through. People will drive up to a closed shop.
I've been telling Alex for weeks now that he's REALLY jumping the gun and spending tons of money on an Assumption. We all know what ASSUME means right? I sure hope the zoning commission approves the re-zoning. But I personally would have NEVER done a single thing on the new building until that MAJOR Detail was done. He really needs to learn PATIENCE. I hope this isn't a very painful lesson in humility. He has no patience to speak of and has always done this since he started his channel. I hope he discovers the incredible value of patience and the joys of Anticipation. Cheers Cheryl! Zip~

@@ZippoVarga I unfortunately agree with you but there again I am not known for my optimist which I think Alex have bucket loads of, he got my share I think. So saying with Alex's experience and knowledge I am sure everything will work out O.K. for him in the long run and this is going to be a positive investment for him and him family.

Dude, I'm blown away at how quickly you can get things done. You make the moving and renos look easy. The store is looking awesome. I'll keep my fingers crossed you get your zoning approved soon.
I HATE moving. It is so much work. The only benefit is that it forces you to get organized.
I used to move every 2-3 years, aka clean. I've been in this house 16 years and it shows!

Sunny girl 87 I definitely couldn’t throw all of that stuff away. It’s worth a lot of money. We had five kids, so it adds up. If it would have been 1-2 kids, I would probably just donate, yard sell or give it away. They all had their own rooms and pretty much tore our house up. I’m going to use the money for repairs. Four of the kids were boys and they can be destructive. Haha

Hey Alex. Sorry to say, but you looked very tired and worried at the beginning of your video. This project has clearly taken a bit of toll on you. Your store looks **FANTASTIC**. If I lived in Edmonton, I would definitely be poking around in there a couple of times a month. You have an amazing collection of antiques and a really good eye. Loved those hand-hand grips. So nice to seeing you looking better at the end of the video. You've basically got the other store packed out and that has to be the worst part of your move over with. Looking forward to your next vids and hearing that zoning has been passed. Fingers crossed for you and your family. ;) Loved Josh's window and electric box treatments -- those guys are sooooo talented. You all make a great crew to watch work -- lol.

How to make a store look like it has been there for years and years....I think you’ve nailed it!!!.....Best of luck.....makes me wanna come shop around....Make the kitchen...(which I hope you re-do) into the candy/ pop section with lots of old kitchen items.....or replica soda fountain....

I say auction a whole bunch of smalls!! Too much can be overwhelming. Will you be putting things in the front window? People used to stand on the sidewalks and look in the windows..remember window shopping?
Yeah but remember the sun will fade anything in the window for too long.
@@Bill23799 Guess that depends which way the store faces, east or west will fade faster than north or south. My bedroom is on a western facing side so it gets really hot around sunset.
I've seen old shops with tinted windows, for that reason. It depends on the stock, I guess. Plain metal or wood might be okay there.
With a few selected, interior lamps left on at night (set on timers), so people walking or driving by could glance in and see the antique treasures for sale.
Connie Rifenburg last video he to a lot of smaller items to the local auction... but you never know what you will get for them so it’s really for emptying the cupboard 🤔😁
Alex: Get Sean on posting things on EBay and running the mail order side of the business. Money well spent!

@@JCrook1028 we let's ads Roll on all vids that we watch, we don't ask for no special attention, not all channels seem to remember it's the viewers that make or break a channel, as a creator and as a viewer it's key to not forget one or the other

The shop is looking more and more fantastic! Both windows in the back, the lamps, the whole back room, the electric panel cover, the guitars, the parking pad---all of it! Moving stores looks like a bigger job than moving a house full of furniture.

Sometimes this is Spirit trying to intervene on someone's behalf by having people 'not make it on the Expected Day'. It's a shame Alex & co didn't think to have the yard which had built up so much additional soil, and dropped coins etc. Metal-detected when they had thought to do that at the Potter House. Half a dozen good condition old coins can sell for $thousands. A single Victorian era ring could fetch £25,,000. This was a potentially big mistake. Let's hope whoever took the soil away sweeps a detector over it and maybe if they find something they'll do for him what he did for the lad he split $3000 with for the film cell Bin Find. He can still search any uncovered ground, and I would.

I felt the same way when I spent my last night at my childhood home. All the memories, good and bad. What kept my spirits up was thinking about the new space & how I could decorate it, change things up. That is always a fun project for creative minds.

I’m curious why you kept the kitchen appliances . Why not take out the kitchen and then you would have more space for merchandise. Or replace the appliances with antique appliances. 🙂
