Yeah after scrolling on my 15 pro max then scrolling on my old 14 plus yes it is very noticeable the 14 plus felt so choppy and laggy and the 15pro max is just so much smoother when you use a 120hz display you would never wanna go back to 60 hz

Phones are not supposed to use high refresh rates because it draws way too much power for current battery ability. You'd need twice as much battery potential.
Yeah, but I think batteries these days are designed with the higher refresh rate in mind, though. A lot of the time a charger is available to people throughout the day as well, even at work at your desk if that's the kind of job you have, so I imagine maintaining battery isn't a big deal. Even so, I've got a 4500mAH battery and 120hz, and it gets the job done.
Previously used iphone 11, now using iphone 13. Never used a 120hz phone so I feel no difference but if it was there in the basic iphones it would’ve been better

i guess no one notice iphone 14 pro actually being locked at 80hz refresh rate at most apps like facebook, instagram etc... they are not 120 hz as promoted.. they are being locked by apple for some unknown reason
Honestly after I switched to iPhone 14pro max now I can’t even look at 60hz phone without thinking that there is something wrong coz you CAN visually SEE the difference and lag…. It’s crazy but I’m so glad it faster and faster coz I’ve always been using phones or PC „too fast“ and this phone really fills my demands
I use an iPhone 13 Pro Max (120Hz) and an iPad mini (60Hz) and I never see any difference between the two, the only way one would prob see the difference is if you’re really looking for it, but since I am not looking for it it’s all a smooth working experience between the 2 devices.

I wouldn’t switch from 13pro to 15. The iPhone 15 is the same as the iPhone 14 which is the same as the base model 13. 13 pro is for sure better than 15
the highest hz on phone is only 165hz😢 and apple uses 120hz on iphone 13 pro (14 p, 15 p) so probably iphone users have to wait until iphone 20 release to have 165hz
Excellent question! I’m sure at one point the eye just can’t notice the further increase in Hz. Maybe that explains why some people don’t see the difference between 60 and 120, their eye are just not as good as those who do see the difference
