this is a very pricey unit, but it is clear the production quality is in the box portion of the cold air intake. I have a $150 ebay cold air intake that ends in a pod filter in the engine bay with no "airbox" around it. Im curious to see a performance difference..
It sounds like you had the parts meant for the 2016+ model left over. If you car is older than 2016 there is nothing to worry about you wont have any need for these parts.

I had a couple of clamps left over and a hose, I hope I did it right

the mounting peg on the left for the air box is attached to nothing? does it connect to the stock air box ?
If you are refering to the one that is removed and installed on our airbox this goes into a locating mount on the car.
What are you supposed to do about the crank case sensor on the hose?
For vehicles equipped with this sensor a hose is included to size down to the sensor to allow for this to be installed.
if i were to take the top of the airbox off does it seal fully when i close the hood to block out hot air?
The cars hood would not provide a seal for the airbox to prevent hot air from entering
is the intake pipe suppose to get super hot even after the car been off for 2 hours pipe still hot
Please feel free to reach out to our support team at support@mishimoto.com, they would be happy to review this with you.
Alrite ahac, I’ve just got 1 of these and my intake pipe is the same, did u find out if this is supposed to happen, cheers
Would this for on a SE model or is it only for ST
Will this fit the 2018 focus st?
This will fit the 2018 model Focus ST
would a mishimoto intake for an rs fit on a 2014 st?
We would not recommend installing our RS intake onto a ST
