Gingerbread...what can I say except a fun, wonderful tradition. My favorite Christmas candy is the filled strawberry shaped wrapped hard tack. Or just the hard tack holiday mix is great too and fun to decorate gingerbread houses with. Every year, my grandmother and us kids would make a gingerbread house. Every year, they got more elaborate and special, and my classes used to love it in school when grandma used to bring one for me to share with my class. Gingerbread houses and gingerbread cake with lemon pudding and whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately, after my brother passed recently, it's been really difficult for the family to keep to the normal traditions this year 😢. Thank you for sharing with all of us and helping some of us bring back wonderful memories ❤. Also Carmel is a huge favorite, especially Carmel or cinnamon hard tack melted apples 🍎 so much fun. Growing up in an Italian Dutch and German household this time of year their were so many wonderful enticing scents coming from the kitchen. I miss it 😢 so very very much.

Brandi that is the cutest gingerbread house ever! I started decorating my kitchen with gingerbread decor when my grandkids were small. They are now 17 and 18 and every year they ask me when I’m going to put my gingerbread out. I decorate my whole kitchen with pieces and I love it. My favorite Christmas candy are turtles. I just melt Kraft caramel with a little canned milk and stir in pecans. Mix it and drop by teaspoon on waxed paper. When it sets up I then melt chocolate candy melts and dip them. Always a big hit at our Christmas gathering. Enjoy your gingerbread house. It was a labor of love and I enjoyed watching you make it. 🎄🎄🎄

OMG, what a wonderful GINGERBREAD house. Soooo festive and Christmasy! I love the doilies for the rug and the little dots on the house was the perfect touch! You and I are so much alike with over the top creations. You have inspired me to make one of my own. Never knew I needed one so much. My favorite Christmas candy would have to be peanut brittle. Of course, I usually eat a forest of Little Debbie white Christmas trees! The only treat I like from Little Debbie. But, I do get excited every year when they make their appearance. Gingerbread!❤ My favorite candy is homemade pralines! My Nanny always made Christmas candy an praline was the favorite of all the candies she made. I would always hide it from everyone else. Eventually I had to give it up but it was fun for a few minutes. Lol Now that my Nanny is gone I make the candy every year. So honemade praline is my favorite candy. 🥰 My 2nd favorite is homemade fudge, the kind without the marshmallow creme in it. Your gingerbread house is absolutely beautiful!
