Then u would be following the guy with the least amount of credibility in the Islamic world. He has no credibility for a reason. Islam was designed specifically to not have the same issues of Christianity. It was designed to be a conservative religion and Shabir is doing mental gymnastics to change it. Real Muslims see through that. Hence no followers.

      Salam sister,
Don't be upset, the main source is Quran and every law comes from it. God will judge us upon his words ie Quran, and not on hadiths. Islam is a simple religion and many generations lived without knowing one hadith.... Read Quran often and ponder on it and Allah will grant you peace inchallah. salam.

Welcome dear sister! Your heart will allow you to discern - when you're confronted by things that are abrasive to your heart, just know them as likely to be false and trust in Allah to guide you through your intentions to please Him and be your best self. Quran is the reference, and if you ever find anything in Quran that you struggle with - persist in the quest for knowledge, insha Allah, Allah will always resolve your doubts and provide you with deep understanding. And please don't overburden yourself early on - remember the Prophet PBUH was teaching tawhid for 10 years before even introducing the disciplines of the path.

ishq noor thank you for your words ishq, and everyone else who had replied to my comment. I am trying I really am but there are some things I am really struggling to comprehend. I do not wish to become a cherry picking Muslim, I know this is hypocritical, but I often times feel that it is the only way to keep me on this path. I just wish more Muslim, scholars in particular, spoke about this struggle. These are doubts that are rooted in feeling that I feel are comprehensively valid based on basic human morale, e.g. certain controversial Hadith and ayahs, and coming from a catholic background I often times feel the same shaming, for having questions and uncertainties, that strayed me away from Christianity.
I trust Allah and I just pray anyone with this struggle doesn't lose faith in Him due to the pain and confusion of this dunya..

i think the best option is to always keep it simple. If you are certain theres a lord then you should be certain that the quran is his spoken work. If your uncertain you need to do you own research/studies to find out for yourself. Its a miracle and it speaks for itself. any other additives should be based on your capacity if your willing to put the pressure on yourself. There is a quote from the quran" Allah wants ease for you and does not seek to burden you"

The reason We find Hadith so problematic and Quran so authentic is another proof of the divine origin and preservation of the Quran.
Hadith is on the other hand a historical account of the Prophet's sayings and does contain things that people invented on their own and hence problematic.

Hadith is not a scripture or the Scripture of Islam. Qur'aan is THE Scripture of Islam. Qur'aan is the authority and is obligatory on all Muslims.
Hadith is just a collection of tales, stories and unsubstantiated narrations collected by men from Central Asia. Those men never sat in the company of the Prophet or his companions or even in the company of their grand children.
Many of the ahaadith are ridiculous and absurd. They do not stand correct under the scrutiny of Qur'aan.
Any hadith that does not stand correct under the scrutiny of Qur'aan should be discarded and trashed.
Instead of Hadith, Muslims should read, study and understand Qur'aan.

two of the five pillars of islam are from the hadiths.
so when muslims pray 5 times a day they are blindly following muhammad or whoever wrote the hadith.
if the hadiths are made up stories then the origins & history of islam didn't exist as the muslim narrative claims.
the Qur'an is just a mix of ancient beliefs, religions, cultures, superstitions, rituals etc.
it's full of contradictions and 100% is not from god, an angel, or a prophet.
it was created to justify & support invasions, aswell as brainwash people into being controlled by a powerful empire.
every popular religion was either created or spread by a powerful empire.
what better place to create a prophet, holy city & new religion, than mecca which had no history.

Hadith is forbidden even on Prophet Muhammad pbuh in Quran 69;44-46. It caused the division of the One Ummah into sects also forbidden in Quran 30:32; 42;14-15; 43;64-65; 45;17, 28 because of varied opinions of men. Islam is the Quran Alone, complete, perfect, clear, in detail, nothing to add, alter nor delete, it being Sealed against corruption, change or alteration.

The Quran makes it clear that we have to follow the teachings of the Prophet (S.A.W).
"And let those who oppose the Messenger's commandment beware lest some fitnah befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them." (24:63)
"He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah; but those who turn away - We have not sent you over them as a guardian." (4:80)
We can not pick and choose which teachings to follow based on how "problematic" they are for us. We follow the Quran and Sunnah in their entirety because we are instructed to by Allah (S.W.T).
Also, I have to point out the leaps in logic that this man is making.
Just because a verse in a Quran tells of a group of people who owned a dog, suddenly the saliva of a dog is not impure?
The Prophet (S.A.W) set certain conditions for which we can own a dog.
Ibn Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "whoever keeps a dog, two Qirats will be detracted from his reward each day, except a trained hunting dog, or a dog for herding livestock."
Did this conditions apply before the Quran was revealed to the Prophet (S.A.W) (meaning, did these conditions apply to the followers of Allah before us) we do not know. But it is clear that for us Muslims, these are the conditions for owning a dog.
The Prophet (S.A.W) also made it clear that the saliva of a dog is impure.
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet (S.A.W) said: "To purify one's vessel licked by a dog, he should wash it seven times, the first time with dust."
As for what he said regarding usury, I'd like to share this hadith narrated by Abu Juhaifa:
"The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the use of the price of blood and the price of a dog, the one who takes (eats) usury, the one who gives usury, the woman who practises tattooing and the woman who gets herself tattooed."
The one who takes usury and the one who gives usury. Where's the misunderstanding?
It was also narrated by Abdullah bin Masud that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who pays it, those who witness it and the one who writes it down.
Sorry for the long post, just had to point this out.

The founders of this chain have noble aspirations but the irony is that there is a hadith that predicts that there will be a time when Muslims will no longer want to follow the Hadiths and the Sunnah and will claim to restrict themselves to the Qur'an. Anyone with discernment must understand that renouncing to the hadith will result in the collapse of Islam. The faith of those who follow the Qur'an alone would not be translated into clear actions and would remain on a conceptual level, closer to philosophy than to the great religion of Islam that embraces real life in all its details and complexity. The example of the hadith prohibiting interest, either taken or given, mentioned by Dr Shabir, clearly shows that without hadith Muslims will start behaving like non-Muslims in almost any field, arguing that the Qur'an doesn't explicitly prohibit what they are doing.

There are many halal loans you can look for. The interest/loaning system is flawed and against humanity, to its core!

  • @Crazy_Rich_Asian
    @Crazy_Rich_Asian 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

Dr. Shabir needs to be a little more careful and clarify more when debunking hadith, particularly the hadith on riba (interest rates and loans/mortgages): it's a saheeh hadith that is to be taken for granted and not only the taker of the interest is very sinful but the one who gives and witnesses as well. Why? Because it's not only about the poor giving more money to the rich, but it's also about the poor supporting the corrupt banking system based on riba, and there is a verse in the Quran clearly prohibiting muslims to aid anyone in sinful matters such as supporting the corrupt banking system with your riba payments. Moreover, there is a hadith that says that eating or giving or witnessing riba is so much sinful it is 40 times worse than adultery. Imagine how bad it is now in the eyes of Allah and set your priorities straight. Muslims are above all supposed to conduct jahd, i.e. put effort in following their religion, not adjusting to the corrupt systems and supporting them with their penny. Be very cautious: you are not allowed to take a loan/mortgage from a non-islamic bank in any circumstance, so you need to look for other options, and there are enough of them.

I love this Channel also. Now for the comment from the sister in the video, she mentioned that the dog issue is a smaller one, perhaps she feels this way because as she said she is afraid of dogs. My feeling is that she doesn't have a clear understanding of what dogs are all about so considers it a small issue. So please to this channel, the dog issue is in fact huge and I would like more deep facts about this topic, why you may ask ? Because there horrible neglect towards dogs in muslim countries because of this weak hadiths and we cannot just let it go. Muslims need to step up to the realization that we have to be kind to dogs on the streets and provide them with food and water and not just say they are dirty street animals. PLEASE ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.......DO SOMETHING FOR ALLAH'S CREATURES. being a good Muslim is being kind towards all animals on earth.

However, with regards to Hadith, I am just wondering why we have to have one Coran and 1000th of Hadiths. Is it not enough to have the Coran the WORD of GOD as the most important book only and NOT the Hadith which is based on comments and opinions of human beings who think they understand and interpret the Coran better.
Somehow I do have the feeling that the Hadith plays a much more important role in Islam than the Coran does, a fact which is quite frightening.

In some parts of the West, namely US, Canada, UK, etc., even average regular houses are so expensive, you need $1 million to buy a house. Preventing Muslims from taking out a loan to purchase a house, means they pay more money in rent (in some areas mortgage payments are cheaper than rent), which pays the mortgage of their landlords, which still pays for that interest. This keeps Muslims artificially poor compared to others who can get into property ownership earlier.

And this issue has apparently been going on FOR OVER A THOUSAND YEARS NOW! JUST LIKE MUSLIMS WHENEVER TRYING TO MAKE A POINT OF THE MAGNIFICENCE OF OUR LORD AND HIS PERSPICUOUS BOOK! AS A MATTER OF FACT; THE QURAN ITSELF IS MUSICAL! AND I BEING MUSICALLY INCLINED AM ABLE TO REMEMBER VERSES OF THE QURAN BY DECIPHERING ITS “MELODY”! Lest I forget; sometimes I play the melody of a verse like”wa huwal lazee khallakal Laila wannahaara washamsa wal qamara kullun fee falikini yahsbahoon”. That verse was unintelligible for me to repeat, and then very difficult for me to remember, until I deciphered it’s MUSICAL MELODY! NOT RYHTOM OR WORDS! I can learn to memorize any verses, but without the music of it, even other Muslims wouldn’t like it, or even recognize what I was saying! AS SALAMU ALAIKUM WA BARAKATU.
