I've been using MacOs for the last 9 years, your videos have been really great to get the most out of my Mac, whether that's customisation, or wanting to use specific apps such as Keynote or Pages. Thank you.
Hi great video. I am using Keynote ver 6.6.2 (2571) and in the Animate, Action, Move box there is no "Align to path" option showing. The only options are Duration, Position, Acceleration, and Order. Has the "Align to path" option been removed or is it found elsewhere. Thanks.
2nd video of yours I've watched and 2nd video I'm wondering where this knowledge was from other channels forever ago, thanks again! A question that is a bit adjacent to this video - I am trying to create a custom map of my sales territory which I can send to a print shop for large format printing, though I'm finding it challenging to find a method for the creation process that doesn't charge a significant sum to do so. Do you have a suggestion on where/how to source/create a fairly basic looking map that covers parts of a couple states, perhaps just major landmarks and roadways?
So here’s a general question. Let’s say I’m going on a particular trip such as a cruise or a cross country hike and I want to make a background map that I can put specific locations on and use has the background. Then I would use this technique to draw the lines and connect the locations. Is there any website that will let me put in locations that will put dots on a map and then let me download that map as a JPEG or PNG or something?
@@macmost Let’s say I was going on a Mediterranean cruise. I would like to be able to put my stops into some mapping program and have if produce a map with dots for each stop (Naples, athens, Crete, whatever) that I could download as a graphic to use as a background of my Keynote. I guess I could just download a decent map and add the stops myself, but I was thinking very precise (longitude, latitude) markings.
Could you make a video going more in-depth on charts in Numbers, I'm having trouble creating historical bar charts showing my net worth, debt, account value, etc over time. Also is there a way to create a "smart" chart that shows historical data for the last 12 months for example but then auto updates each month so that I don't have to change the source date range.
I have lots of videos on charts in numbers. Like this one: th-cam.com/video/i7J7wY2BT2s/w-d-xo.html Yes, you can create a chart that covers the whole table, so as you add rows it will add them to the chart too.
Off the top of my head, without thinking about it too much, I suppose you could do something with a table full of names and some random numbers and using the RANK function. Then grab the value of one of the cells and use it elsewhere in your presentation. Not sure if you have the spreadsheet skills for that. Another idea would be a slide that animated a spin with buttons. Each button leads to another slide. So when you click you'd be hitting a somewhat random button and going to a somewhat random slide. That would be complex to build too and require a lot of Keynote animation skills.
oh wow, I've been looking for this for a while. Thanks!
You are awesome ❤

The current version of Keynote is 14.0. Version 6.6.2 was from 2016. So perhaps Align To Path was added later.
@@macmost I'm on Montery on a 2014 mac mini, and I see no way to update Keynote to ver 14. Thanks for your help.

Sorry, no. You could just look at clipart sites and see if any has a large map that you could trim down for your use I suppose.

Not sure what you are asking. If this Keynote project does what you want, why do you want a website that does it too?

@@WeberBaker I suppose such a service could exist, but you'd have to search and see. I don't know of one.

Why did you make the points Smooth rather than using the Biezer option?
Just a quick way to do it. If the other option works for you, do it that way.
Subscribed - do you know how to create a random name wheel spinner on Keynote?

trippy, I thought I saw a video earlier today comparing something or other and can't find it now..
Huh?
great idea, but the option 'Motion path from shape' is grayded out, I can't choose that option. I've tried is several times, what is getting wrong?
Make sure you are selecting the items as I am in this video.
It is solved, my cousin came along and he suggested to drag the hiker and that worked!
When I get to the animation - I get a message “animations aren’t available on slide layouts” how do I resolve that?
Not sure what you are seeing there. Is that the exact error message? When does it appear, exactly?
❤
Why has it not been translated into Arabic?🙁
Thank you very much. I enjoyed it.
Well done, thank you!
