      Agreed! I've been training for 2 years at my gym and they still haven't taught this technique in class! The instructors look surprised when I hit it on all the upper belts

    This is a great pass for me. Maybe because I’m really tall… I find it super easy to grab peoples arms behind their back from guard. I originally saw this in a no gi video but this is actually more helpful because I was missing some details. Thank you

    I want to try this! I HATE standing in someones closed guard to break it open. Thanks a lot for the info.

      when you go to stand they will give you the wrist when they reach for the ankle. makes it even easier.

    I like to capture that hand when I bring a leg up because people go for that ankle 100% of the time. I just capture the arm and drop their butt down on top of the wrist, roll a little as if I am giving them the angle, and pass the hand as I do. Then its just pure nastiness lmao. Im in my villian era right now XD

    I've used this pass for a long time. Because it is so unknown in the modern game, I've had great success with. So, professor, can you please remove this video? :D Just kidding :)

    Se a cabeça for colocada do lado oposto da pegada da manga, não fica melhor? Talvez impeça que o adversário gire pra ficar jogando o quadril pra baixo do passador

    Great details in the video. I'm a new white belt, only 5 lessons in. After watching this video, I got the pass next session!
    Is there a specific name for the pass?

    How can u counter his hip when he tries to follow your movement?

    • @Danlovestrivium
      @Danlovestrivium 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's what he's doing when he's grabbing the wrist and feeding it to the other side behind this opponent's back. That prevents his opponent from following with his hips.

      You can use his lapel. Pass the same side lapel over his arm then under his body. It works really well!
