AJ I want to be perfectly honest with you I watch Supercross and Motocross and I want to apologize bro cuz I used to knock you for being so far back but as I have subscribed to your channel I realized it that you are too busy to full-time train you help other people out constantly with your training courses and on TH-cam and you are still qualifying forpro races and on the line at the pro races everybody on that line those are 40 of the best dirt bike riders in the world so I wanted to apologize for my opinion of you in the past you are one of the best dirt bike riders in the world and it really shows in the results how much you help other people on your training and the tips you give them including me TH-cam and as fast as you go riding with one hand keep up the great content my friend
That's amazing 👏. Dude you were hauling booty 1 handed. Incredible what ultra-sound fundamentals will do (and to be a 2 wheeled bad @ss). Fun video as always!!
Holy crap this was cool. Dynamic was funny but I never really knew about the one handed thing, goes to show how capable a bike really is with handling the terrain of a dirt track.
Cam can definitely be a 55sec guy , he just needs to carry momentum in the corners . If he did that he for sure would have at least got the same time as the one handed time
Yeah ... I couldn't tell if there was much difference in the straights, but Cam was clearly slower in the turns ... that's to be expected, Pro vs Am, under normal conditions, but interesting to see it's still true even one-handed.
literal "arm" pump.. lol. Also, for what it's worth I noticed Cam's whip at the end of his run and thought, " man, Cam's feelin it! ". So yeah, looked good man!
Cameron loses out in the corners. He was way more tentative. As soon as I saw AJ's first corner I knew he was going to be faster. Also I've been subbed to Cam since he made his first appearance with you AJ.
I hope you guys Film some of your class @ "Meadow Valley MX" next week...cant be there for it but have been dying to see AJ post something from there. would love to see how he aproaches and advises riders at Meadow. I know he's been out there in the past but have yet to see any content.
one time i was blitzing the woops 3/4 throttle, right hand came off grabbed but grabbed a whole hand full, full throttle half way through fully choked up on the gas. What a ride!
There is something about the width of the rear on that bike that helps grip the bike. I’ve never gotten arm pump on my FX450. The power is very smooth and forgiving compared to other 450’s.
Cam has to try a Husky 350. I just bought a 2016 350SXF and my God is that an easy bike to ride. The Forks have had the SSS Conversion done but the Rebound valving was jacked up big time and the bike was still stupid fast and easy to ride. The suspension is at ENZO RACING now for them to fix someone else’s valving mess.
They allow you to be lazier on most tracks. By lazier I mean you can lug 3rd gear and blip the throttle later on the 450 and still clear jumps. 250fs you have to a lot smoother in corners and hit your shifts to clear a lot of bigger tables and doubles.
The 1 handed riding boosts you balance. and activates your core much more. Once you adapt yo get tighter core and use your back and legs to steer, not your arms
Random question but Why is getting to the balance point on a dirtbike so much harder than a bicycle lol i have no brake control everytime i tap the brake it drops the front end right away. Should i try in shoes? Power wheelies are all i got lol
Big naked Pros are on factory bikes where the shock alone is $50k and each fork tube id $25k a piece. The engine internals are coaster with the same stuff as the heat shields on the space shuttle. Bike could go with no coolant and no oil for several laps before it blows up. Trust are NOT normal bikes, they is LOOK like production bikes.
I think you’d be surprised by how close we would be in a practice situation on a track like that. A hundredth of a second per corner you wouldn’t be able to see that
So, yeah lol. Honest question because that ride on the 450 seemed sooo smooth. I'm in my early 40's and grew up racing 2 strokes. I quit riding by the time I was 20, but back in 2015 decided to pick it up again with my sons. I got a an RMZ 250, that I eventually destroyed as I also got life flighted from a track 🤣🤣🤣 (wasn't the first time)...anyway, I've been hesitant to buy a 450 because, in western PA, a lot of the tracks seem too small for that power. Just wondering if anyone else is semi local and rides a 450...your thoughts on that vs a 250.
Ktm 350. The 250s are easier to ride faster but you are revved out. The 450 you can lug around but can get in over your head quickly. Much less so than a 250 two stroke though:)
@@AjCatanzaro thanks for the input. I had looked into the 350s. I'm not lite...I'm 5'11" and close to 200lbs...probably dropping down to 185 for hockey anyway. But, had I heard that the 350's definitely seem to hit a sweet spot. Appreciate it.
@@TheShift1313 thanks. The 350 is probably the route I'll go. I've always been slightly loose in form and wreckless even as a kid. So, I'd probably want to push the 450 and definitely don't have the conditioning, or technique, to do so.
@@AjCatanzaro fair enough! 🙌 Not trying to take away from the achievement, just saw the rekcluse clutch cover. Sponsors? I've heard many pros run the cover without running the actual clutch. Is there a reason for that past sponsorship/advertising?

I thought part of the deal was you don't give him advice before he goes. "Ride it in 3rd" he says 🤦🏻♂️ I guess we're doing whatevs these days 😂
Is there a "no feet on the pegs" drill? That would be so funny to watch!

As always, I love these pro vs am. I wonder what a beat up or harder track would do.
Actually, I know exactly what it would, but how much of a disparity it would create.
I've been practicing my one handedness past few months 😁. I need a Husky 450
one time i was blitzing the woops 3/4 throttle, right hand came off grabbed but grabbed a whole hand full, full throttle half way through fully choked up on the gas. What a ride!

Killer looking loamy dirt and awesome track!!! Great riding too.

Lesssss gooooo AJ!! Husky FoFIddy for 2022 SX!!
That track looks SO FUN!!!!
this is a great idea. i think cam will still lose. nice i was right. AJ with a whole lot of realism. "That would be bad"
Aren’t most tracks designed for 450’s? Cam was landing in the sweet spot of every jump.
A modern 250 has more than enough power to hit almost anything

Exactly why i just sold my 250 for a 4..
I’m with Cam on the 450 thing. So hard to go fast on
Cam looked comfortable on the Husky.
Yeah, I'm amazed at how smooth that 450 seemed. It has me questioning my thought process on 450 vs 250.
@@jasonschwartz9481 it has me questioning if I should have bought one of those instead of a 21 Honda 450 😂
Wow, fun to watch. I commend both of them.

Yep!!
I am also petrified of a 450 I am 43 with two kids and I definitely don't need to Whiskey throttle one of those bad boys my RMZ 250 is plenty for me

Idk if it's just me but Cam kinda looks like Chase Sexton
Can you only enter for the bikes from America? I'm in Europe?

how would top guys be in this? prime carmichael, prime mcgrath, prime stewart?

AJ had already won by the first straight in the first 7 seconds.
Pro VS Am - Body Position please
is that winchester speedpark?

What track is this
Cam....You would have won had you had full Cape Confidence! Believe in the cape.
That’s how I ride with two hands 😩
He has the yellow cape form hot rod 😂
AJ has an invisible alien arm obviously 🧐
Dang, someone finally figured it out!
You pick a guy who can't wheelie and scared of a 450? 🤷♂️
Acouple of times your body must've screamed use the left, use the left!!!
Never understood why so many people ride a 450 in 1st and 2nd. You should never touch 1st on a motocross track.
Do it with the other arm and I'd be really impressed.
every husky 450 I have tried, it is heavy turning machinery, I wouldnt say its easy to ride. My thoughts. Im just an amateur, what do I know :)
What are you comparing it to? A bicycle? 😜

So the guy with a 250 2 stroke is afraid of a 450 4 stroke? Please tell me he's trolling.
Damn why give the advantage to the pro making the amateur rider ride with one hand
The bigger question is…. Can he ever podium?
If you let him choose what hand you got to use it would have been a different story..
7:27, ok i can quit riding after this one handed mini scrub. this viedo is the proof that you ride a bike with your legs more than arms!
Can I have the pit bike please I’m 11 and love motocross
crazy
Haha
Who won, I can't watch right now
Just take a guess lol. You're first instinct is correct if you don't try to overthink it.
My first thought is pro would win even with one hand
Why are you guys riding on a bike that was given away in a raffle?
My home town
Thats good for one hand. But got to be the worst track ever doesn't even count as a track
he was a lot more sloppy with 2 hands
Why are u scared of a 450 I'm 15 and I ride a 450
there is no pros in this video wth
Show me a pro that can ride better than me with one hand 😜
Kinda embarrassed about how fast he can ride with one hand kinda feel like just giving up
He can do it bc he never gave up. Laps laps lapses
Don’t get too discouraged, I’ve been practicing that since I was 5 years old!
