i've seen the machine that make the coffee in Beijing, its pretty cheap ,proximately 500 dollars for commercial use if i remmember it right.

@FireStar10058 that's I guess what is wrong with the actual report - it focused way too much on the amenities and not the actual purpose of this private terminal. Guess the reporter was too busy playing around with all the luxury items. To be honest, I don't think most of those things will even be touched.

You know, the more I think about this, the more I realize that... do the very rich even have a use for this? They literally have private jets why waste time? As for important people who somehow dont have private planes for some odd reason, why waste your time of this place? Come on, this is literally Dubai were talking about, this sort of place in the grand scheme of things really does not compare to hotels who literally have better lounges. Like you said, place feels really depressing.
@@PauaP Because not all rich people want to pay the cost of owning a private jet. It just isn't financially worth it, even for most rich people. The large majority charter, which is where places like this step in
Pilot here. Although I'm not the super rich person this is targeted at, these lounges frequently open all amenities to the pilots as well and I've been fortunate to have my fair share. It's crazy cool at first but trust me, the novelty of it all wears off pretty quick. The free espresso and food is always welcome though.

I’ve been through that terminal before, and it’s insane. The only reason I was able to go through there was because I piggy backed off my boss. The second we crossed back into the main terminal it was like crossing into the gates of hell

@@burhanuddinaziz Wealthy people invest wisely!! and they wont Waste their time either with ping pong or tv! and that metro nap makes no sense rather people prefer 5 star hotels within Dubai airport. And a person who is capable of flying in private jet would have already own a Bugatti Chiron so it wont amuse them. So only show off rich will use this service that too for once. Eventually this business will fail and it will be sold to some other air carrier which will use this space as a lounge exclusively for 1st class passengers at less than 2000$ / hour. Because they sure spend a lot of time on just talking (part of their job while thousands of their employees are doing the real job) and they waste money on the craziest things.

@John R Since it's in Dubai, we expect it to be luxurious. it's not a rip-off if the jet they charter are long-range jets and vip airliner like BBJ. Those jets are in executive configuration. If you are gonna charter an executive jet like the deer jet 787, $70k per hour, it's just right that they offer a private executive terminal too.

why would you fly there to have a meeting. Ever heard of video conferencing? Most business travel is crazy
jastat sometimes companies set up ‘a company in other countries for some reason. Say Brexit for example or to avoid tax idk. But for that to happen you have to have 1 board meeting in that country every year at least so they have to send executives there who literally just have a 5 min meeting and then fly back
I found out recently that lots of long haul flights refuel and people change planes there a lot. They are hubs. So people can easily meet halfway and have the whole in person meeting experience, which is still necessary.
The huge jumbojets with massive numbers of passengers and layovers is getting traded out for narrower body aircraft that fly to the final destination.

couldnt agree more, such a tastelessly designed terminal with cheap looking furniture, most of the budget no doubt went to the car and tv. that coffee machine cost 4000usd but most cafes have machines that cost that or more

I think the pandemic has taught people a big lesson, having one stream of income is not really a good idea cause your job doesn't secure your financial needs. The pandemic has really set out business minded people from the rest that why I am so lucky to be among the investor trading with Mr Joakim Bruno bergstrand as his student it's been successful and happiness since the beginning of my trade.
