I have fished with you in that area of the lake. It was a group from Orange Texas. I enjoy watching your instructional videos. This is valuable to your customers considering purchasing that equipment.
I would like to echo the same as what most of us saw which is very informative and I appreciate this guy sharing his new found technology and the video was great. Aside from not zooming in to see from his view it was cluttered with the on screen info. He had the entire screen to the right of what he was showing us but the whole presentation was cluttered behind the on screen info. Not often does someone share in what others can benefit and for that I say he's the champ, just not a trained expert at video taping. Thanks very much Mr Fenn.
Absolutely EXCELLENT idea regarding the Garmin mount. Great job! Hat's off to Garmin as well for coming up with some incredible technology... it's almost like cheating! Being a guide, I definitely see the need for such a tool, pretty much a necessity with competition and all. I appreciate how you mounted that on the side of the boat giving you 360 ability, very nice! Thanks for the video and explanation.
Greg, country boy you are the epidemy of engineering . that transducer is worthy of a Patton. Garmin should sponsor you full $$$$. Videos are great. Scratching out a living as a guide is hard work bugt you make it look like you truly enjoy it. good luck sir you deserve it.
Hey Greg, just now got to watch this video at the end of July. You sure had a good video on the Garmin, I'm impressed. I'll have to get with you sometime and see just how that unit works. I'll get my feet back under me and give you a call. Thanks for sharing.
Well done Greg excellent job on the video and all by your self with out annoying music most put out there on You Tube You did fantastic of real time ,,,,live and play by play action I would go fishing with you and know it would be a great day Fish On
That brings fish finders to a whole new level. When I first used SI I thought it couldn't get any better than this but obviously I was wrong. Enjoyed the video and the demonstration of the new technology.
My 78 year old dad I just dragged him through lung cancer. So many doctors. He made it clear of cancer last week. All he wants to do is fish and that cat can catch a fish in a toilet. Thanks again. I may look you up next time in TX.
Love watching you Guide if I'm ever in Texas I will definitely go out with ya I'm going to get me a garmin live scope after watching this video thanks for recording
Hi Greg: FANTASTIC IDEA on Manufacturing your Transducer to a Flexible Mount. It works Great on the Pontoon Boat. CREATIVE Mind of a Dedicated Crappie Fisherman. Enjoy your Future Brother.
wow that is an awesome DIY project right there!!!!!😱😱👍👍😁😁🎣🎣 Thank you very much for this idea Sir!!!!!!!!....This was an awesome video my friend!!!!!!!👍👍👍😁😁😁
Very nice!! Really like your transducer mount! The Garmin Panoptix is awesome System. Bit pricey for a recreational fisherman like me, though I'd love to have something like that.. enjoy your videos. Thank you
I always enjoy your videos, and the design you made for the transducer mount 90 degree stow and deployment. I hope you don't mind a suggestion - I watched this video on my 17" laptop in full screen mode, but could not recognize or distinguish your bait movement or the crappie take the bait, as the Panoptix screen was still only about about 1.5 inch or so in size in full screen mode. Maybe next time, a closer view would work for us. Thank you for the effort you put into your videos.
Awesome! Instructional, it would be good to zoom the range to 20 or 30 ft out as other's have said. I have the 93sv and will have the transducer for x-mas. can't wait!
I looked a little bit and it may be deeper in the comments but do you have a video about the mount you made? I’m looking to do something similar and yours looks like a great set up.
I like that mount. If you are in shallow water say 10-15' deep how far can you see with the live scope? Thinking about using this for anchored catfishing.
I think the tube ended up 66" and it's 1 1/4". I think I used 2" pvc couplings as collars. Just a bunch of brain storming, trying this and that. I'm the type of guy that goes into Lowe's or Tractor Supply, and walk around looking for things that I can use for what I'm trying to build, not what they were intended for. Thanks for watching
@@jlwilson1988 The tube is metal. It's light electrical conduit you can buy at Lowe's in 10' sections. You can use different materials to make it work. For example, the OD (outside diameter) of the 1 1/4" conduit is exactly what the ID (inside diameter) of a 2" pvc coupling is. I actually glued a 2"x2"x1/2" pvc tee at the top of the conduit. That allow me to run the transducer cable out the top, but also glue a 6" 1/2" pipe with a cap on it that I use to turn the transducer to desired location. I glued a 2" coupling on the bottom of the conduit so the transducer cable wouldn't get damaged.
I got one couple weeks ago. Haven’t got opportunity to use it much. Garmin 93sv new out of box didn’t have latest software to support livescope. Caused me lots of trouble being away from home. Makes you wonder if they might make them illegal watching it work.
Raymond Posey... I want to buy this system... If I buy the Garmin ECHOMAP™ Plus 93sv With CV52HW-TM Transducerat at 999.99 and the Panoptix LiveScope™ System at 1499.99 is there any thing more I need to buy to use this system?
Great idea for that mount. I'm trying to get my dad set up with a spot lock trolling motor and a finder on his pontoon. Did you go with 24v or 36? What shaft length? Thanks!
I went with 24 volt. However, I have 4 batteries hooked up in series to give me plenty of power, but will last all day long even in the wind. Shaft length on the trolling motor needs to be 60". Thanks for watching!
Great job and it seems you are having fun to. I'm sold on the livescope, what gar in unit are you using with it? God bless you and I hope your guide service does well.
Great video and good job commentating. I can't wait to get one of those. I am amazed how good your trolling motor keeps you next to the bridge. Does being under the bridge ever affect the accuracy?
The transducer is $1499.00. I just picked up that same Garmin unit for $599 at bps this week on sale. Good video but would have like to seen the screen better. Keep up the good work.

How did you Caller the 1 1/4 tubbing
Nice! :)
What is the length and size of the tube holding the transducer, material makeup of the tube ?? Great video...

I assume the plug at the end of the transducer is small enough in diameter to fit through the 1 1/4" pipe. It looks quite big.
Yes, it slides through easily.
Crazy,! I need this now, crap!
Does your panoptix show true distance? My panoptix seems to show like 40' when its only 20'
Don't understand that. Maybe your transducer is pointing down or up one click. Mine is right on. Thanks for watching!
Great Video, can you tell me what is the length of the Slab Daddy pole.
10' - Thanks for Watching!

wow, best video that is so convincing. I have an Xi5 and was wondering about the mount. Is that PVC 1.5" pipe or metal?
1.5" metal electrical conduit. Thanks for watching!
Will the electrical conduit pole rust? Any reason why you did not use PVC?
It won't rust. I just wanted something a little more rigid. I think PVC would be okay, but if I did I would use Schedule 80 PVC. Thanks for watching!
Hey Greg, what did you mean about and how did you collar the jack tube to the 1 1/4" pvc?
Thank you sir .. how much was everything all said and done im gettn me one.. after watchin your video.
About $2300. Thanks for watching!

Just don't have the time. Sorry. Thanks for watching!
