I've had someone point blank copy and re-post one of my videos ... the kicker was that they included my channel in their description by trying to call my video (which had been up on TH-cam for about 6 months or so before theirs) the fake one XD

I've seen where you or the super Carlin brothers or Isaac from wotso videos will put out a theory and the things will have some very similar a couple days later. They've even done it to watchmojo and matpat before.

Have you heard of paper towns? (I don't mean the book.) Map makers used to put fake towns in their maps, so that if someone copied their maps and sold them as their own, they would be able to tell and could take legal action. These were called 'paper towns' You might be able to do something similar with your videos. These 'paper theories' would be small parts of your videos/theories that no one else would use if they didn't copy from you. For example, using a fake word to describe something, or mentioning a character that doesn't actually exist. Though it would be a bit difficult (After all, you don't know if they would steal your 'paper theories' anyway), it could help deter channels that steal your content.

I watch The Things from time to time, and it just sounds like they're reading off a script someone gave them randomly. It feels like they're saying, "I will read this without thinking about pronunciation of putting any sort of feeling in my voice. I will also refuse to credit anyone and sound like I looked this up once and terribly summarized it.
Seamus question: so in one of the scenes in the Harry Potter chamber of secrets, rons wand is messed up. In professors mcgonical (I butchered that very hard) room he accidentally turned scabbers into a half rat cup, the audience is suppose to assume that it's because his wand, but could it also be that the spell wasn't working properly because it was meant to turn animals into cups not animagus. Could you do a video showing all the signs and foreshadowing that Peter was a rat, that could have just been passed off as an accident or coincidence.

I’ve never heard of this theory (if it’s out there already sry) but I think that the sorting hat can see the future, like see the future for that one student and narrow it down to the house or houses they will do the best in and then try to make a decision themselves or if the student asks to be put in one of those houses. I know it’s a little loose in places but I think this would be a great theory, me and my friend believe it ourselves too!!!

I’ve noticed most of these channels that give you “top 10 fan theories” or similar videos just steal ideas from other people. They don’t even care about or are even fans of the properties they’re talking about. It would be nice if they could list theory creators in the description below that way people could be credited properly and the person watching the video can get more info on that theory.

On another note, their videos consist of a monotone voice talking over photos from the internet. What is worse is that their ideas aren’t even their own. When I watch your videos, I can tell that you deeply care and have put a lot of time and effort into what you are saying, you can hear the emotion in your voice. I don’t see how their channel has more views and subscribers than you do. Your videos are more interesting, passionate, and personal. Keep doing what you are doing Seamus!

I’ve never heard of this theory (if it’s out there already sry) but I think that the sorting hat can see the future, like see the future for that one student and narrow it down to the house or houses they will do the best in and then try to make a decision themselves or if the student asks to be put in one of those houses. I know it’s a little loose in places but I think this would be a great theory, me and my friend believe it ourselves too!!!

I’ve noticed most of these channels that give you “top 10 fan theories” or similar videos just steal ideas from other people. They don’t even care about or are even fans of the properties they’re talking about. It would be nice if they could list theory creators in the description below that way people could be credited properly and the person watching the video can get more info on that theory.

On another note, their videos consist of a monotone voice talking over photos from the internet. What is worse is that their ideas aren’t even their own. When I watch your videos, I can tell that you deeply care and have put a lot of time and effort into what you are saying, you can hear the emotion in your voice. I don’t see how their channel has more views and subscribers than you do. Your videos are more interesting, passionate, and personal. Keep doing what you are doing Seamus!
