One of these days she'll learn that Gifu is one of the few prefectures that doesn't border water and will have a much easier time with it!

It's definitely a unique method, but no one can say it doesn't make sense. We let her cook and she cooked good.
I say bring it on with the elite analogies, Mikochi 😎

It can be done for US as well, there’s this image of Kentucky being a piece of chicken fried - frying pan Tennessee, and the chef runs roughly from Minnesota (hat) to Louisiana (shoes of chef)

Japan has nearly as many prefectures as the US has states. I see how you can forget a few.

Can't blame Miko when I used to learn words by attaching puns or becoming a mad German scientist in order to learn them.

The Michael Scott memorization methodology, I see. I was thinking her score wasn't that bad, but then I realized it would be like if I couldn't tell you 10 US states and I would definitely feel shame in that.

You still need repetition to remember these names tho.

Sasuga maou sama, fyi its actually a legit memory technique and one of the smartest way to remember things, she could use method of loci too but she would still need to convert them to objects,so her method is way better in this situation

This is actually a trick taught to remember things clearly. Our teacher used to tell us to associate words with another thing especially if those things are your interest. I have an undiagnosed Autism and back them I used to memorize my exams using songs and pictures as my brain can only remember that. It helps a lot.

We can memorize Fukushima prefecture based on three logical knowledge
    1. The light blue area on the map is the Tohoku region, and Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima on the Pacific side of the region suffered particularly severe damage from the tsunami in 2011.
    2. Fukushima Prefecture had a nuclear power plant that produced electricity to be sent to Tokyo, etc., so it is the closest to Tokyo in the Tohoku region.
    3. The biggest chicken nugget

My way of memorizing these prefectures is to sing along, I recommend listening on "47 Suteki no Machi e" by AKB48 which the lyrics was all about the beauties of all 47 prefectures.

I think its weird that this is a challenge Yagoo gave the japanese girls.
Is it not common knowledge in Japan to know all 47 prefectures?
In the US, everyone is taught all 50 states. They may forget a lot of that as they grow up and never use that info, but given enough time to think about it and recall, they could still name most of them.
This just seems weird to me.

    • @C.Q.Q
      @C.Q.Q ปีที่แล้ว

It is common knowledge but there're multiple hololive members previously tried yet failed to recite all 47 prefectures in the past few years. Some even got more than half wrong.
