Perfect watch brother the AI stuff is very tough but I definitely understand from an artist's pov the longevity effects it could hold on the art scene. I know how hard lol that would have been to stop as you always had such a mad imagination and were always unique with your artwork. Just discovered your channel, I'm really liking your work. I definitely agree with your take on AI. The tech is really impressive and it's interesting to learn the underlying architecture, but at the end of the day, not only do these models unethically rely on the stolen work of millions of artists, but they're also not real, human art. It just don't feel right to use these tools. I personally haven't used AI in my drawing workflow (only experimented with it here and there to see how it works), so it's interesting to hear your take on AI being a distraction than an assistive tool. I also have to agree that AI strips you away from the process entirely and robs you of how much you gain from that process alone. You mentioned feeling discouraged from using these models, and trust me, you're not alone. Hundreds of thousands of artists (me included) out there are concerned about the negative impact of these tools, but I have hope human artists will prevail. I just hope young artists today don't get discouraged from making art because of these generative AI models. I also saw a Cara tab, if you don't mind dropping the @ 👀
But yeah i agree with everything you said honestly, i dont think its a battle i think ai is just another advancement in technology but the utilisation of it as a tool especially when it comes to a personal creative journey to me must be specifically only as an imbedded part of the applications used not as a direct part of thought process and planning
