    Thank you for explaining this in such a relatable manner. I'm in Grad school now, studying Bowen in my "Counseling Couples and Families" class.

    Thank you for this. Really getting into your videos. Differentiation really gets to me as a bed rock of most presentations to therapy. I get why it’s important in the first session, as stated in one of your videos. But how to get this very important tool in at first session starts to give directions in a skilled manner. Just finished an unsuccessful work with a very enmeshed family. I have a lot to learn.

    That's me 😢😢 (second case). Which I was fully aware it when I was young not as a grown adult and understood the hard way. And, how to fully and permanently resolved it 24/7 its the issue, still. I am the only one in the family like that.

    Excellent video! As a clinician how do you measure the achievement of the solid boundaries in those 4 areas?

    • @MyPeoplePatterns
      @MyPeoplePatterns  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      What a great question- you must really be a doctor! I don’t know if I’ve got a way to “measure” but I’d assess for lower levels of reactivity, more solid sense of self (I statements) more tangible statements about personal values and guiding principles, and the ability to hold conflicting feelings, and have thoughts about those feelings. There might be a whole other video on this :)

    Values and guiding principles? The Bible and process of sanctification; however, spiritual things are spiritually appraised.

    • @MyPeoplePatterns
      @MyPeoplePatterns  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Ah. Sure, your values and guiding principles could come from the Bible, or any spiritual text, but preferably from within your Self.

      @@MyPeoplePatternsAccording the great Immanuel Kant we all have The inner "imperative categoric"...a natural moral inner compass. It doesn't come from Self it was God given as life as body as heart, family, inmune systems, etc etc... furthermore, Our Western Civilization Universal human rights/principals/values is Bible based on Christianity. Which influence the whole world specially after www2.
