The controller wanted the children to mold, control them like robots all to her self. She was an abusing, selfish, controlling, brutal mother. The children didn’t have a voice without her putting words in their mouth, then she would say them for them if they were asked a question. They feared her wouldn’t speak, she couldn’t even get them to speak because they feared they would say something wrong.

He saved Colin, who was tossed away & forgotten by his own mother, in a place he didn’t even belong, refused to tell his father where he was! Now because of Kate putting him in that place, he was thrown out of the military! So sad, the young man was TRYING to do something he felt was good for himself and others. How could you do that to you own child? Just because he was tired of filming and didn’t want to cooperate. She should have given him to his father instead of putting him in that place and acting like he no longer existed.
I'm really proud of him for defending both Colin and Maddy in this reaction! Throughout the years he has proved to be such a great father. I hope the other kids will realize this soon too!
I agree. I loved him during the show.. I thought he was a bit of a dbag during the divorce era, but deep down he’s a good person and that shows. I can’t say the same for Kate
My mother is a narcissist and she has abused me my whole life. I'm almost 57 and she physically attacked me in March 2023 in front of my teenage daughter and I haven't spoken to her since. I can't have her in my life anymore
If you watched Jon and Kate plus 8, you know without a doubt that Kate is the abuser. We all witnessed Kate abusing Jon. She couldnt control herself. Jon looks great.
Absolutely 👍 I knew from the very first episode that their marriage wasn’t going to last just by the way she spoke and treated Jon. With each episode her attitude toward him just got worse I’m surprised their marriage lasted as long as it did.

I watched it and I could see Jon wanting to play the victim, the martyr. There was a lot of work to do and he was acting like one of the kids. I can`t stand him! He is still to this day playing the victim and wanting sympathy!

When Kate CO- hosted the View and Whoopi called her out on her nonsense because Kate didn’t like the sitters that Jon got for the kids she was showing up unannounced at his house at all hrs and said she had to do it because she was concerned about the kids. Whoopi told her it was illegal to do that and she was interfering with his time with the children. Did you know she threw Collin in an Institution for 3 years and Jon didn’t know where he was people see through her nonsense she was making hundreds of thousands of dollars from the show and now she claiming she broke I’m glad she lost this latest battle with Jon.
She was the one that locked Collin up in a mental facility when she couldn't manipulate and control his every move and ostracized him from the family jon stepped up and literally saved him she also stole $750,000 dollars of her kids earnings she's a total control freak as we saw on the show week after week

Gardner ($50k per case "Expert") for rich men-who promotes in his books--pedophilic behavior and parental molestation of children, saying that it is more harmful for them to be alienated from their molesting parent than it is to be molested, so sadly we need a new way to refer to the alienation she caused. She wrote in her own journal early on that she would have instances of abusing Collin terribly, to the point of being afraid she'd severely injure him. She got rid of his favorite toy bear at like age two, scarring him for life and the world watched. She was horrendously abusive to Jon the whole show, and the world watched. She was unprofessional and down right disrespectful to her PROFESSIONAL DANCE PARTNER/TEACHER on dancing with the stars. She went back to nursing and yet proceeded to steal over $750k from her children's trust fund from show earnings to buy herself a huge house. During the divorce, the network paid for her high end attorneys while jon paid over 1 MILLION OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET. That is how she got full custody. She is a nightmare of a human being.
You are correct because many people do not realize that TLC is the one that paid for all of Kate's legal actions against Jon and I will never forget that scene where poor little Collin got his bear dirty and Kate said it's going in the garbage now and that right there broke that little boy. 😢 I actually hold TLC partially responsible for what Kate did to those children because they were the ones that were fighting Jon Gosselin because he no longer wanted them on TV but since Kate Gosselin had five very well known attorneys on her side bought by TLC Jon Gosselin got no say in what his kids did or didn't do and then the judge slapped Jon with that 10-year gag order where he cannot speak of his children for Kate and that's where the justice system failed all of those children. That one producer that came forward and said that he literally saw the journal where Kate had written that she had beaten Colin the night before so badly that she was afraid she broke bones and she explained she knew where to hit him so other people didn't see all of the bruises on Collin and she also said there is many nights and days that she beat Collin because she couldn't stop herself but TLC did nothing to help those children or Jon in fact as we all know now they didn't care about the children because they were making millions of dollars off from their TLC show because it had such high ratings in the very beginning and they were trying to revive it and that is what was more important to TLC. 🤬🤬
TLC helped Kate cuz Jon didn't want the kids on TV anymore. He didn't want the +8 show to continue. Past interviews with Jon he said the kids deserved a normal childhood with out the cameras

I used to blame Jon in my own mind for being weak when watching their show. Now I realize he was the victim of abuse and was a gentle, sweet person trying to survive in a hostile environment. Jon looks so healthy and sounds so good these days since his emancipation. This is good because if the children choose to leave their toxic environment, they have a good and loving Dad to go to like Colin. So glad Colin is in a safer place now. Best wishes to them both. 100000% she sounds like a narcissist and that’s unfortunate because the kids are only hearing mom’s side when she thinks she did nothing wrong. Nothing is her fault so she pinned it on dad and the other kids (hannah and collin).
The show made my stomach hurt. She was awful to her spouse, cruel, conniving, rude, disrespectful, manipulative, controlling, physically abusive . I figured that if she wasn't even trying to hide it on TV then the reality had to be so much worst for everyone.
I had to stop watching the show because I saw the narcissist immediately. Once you get personally involved with a narcissist you never forget and hopefully you learn enough to stay away from people with those traits in the future. I married one. He stole everything and my inheritance was nothing compared to what he did to my self esteem.
Kate masculated John on the show & I can't imagine putting up with her, I quit watching because of her. I felt sorry for those poor kids, John also. 😢 thank goodness John has been free from Kate.
Folks need to know that false memories are real; if a parent has been saying "remember when this happened..." for YEARS, a kid could develop false memories.
Idk why but my step daughter is convinced I beat her with a wire coat hanger a few yrs ago when she was 11. I haven't even seen wire hangers in YEARS but regardless I would never beat any of these kids with a hanger & it bothers me she legitimately believes that. Her own sister as well as my kids have tried telling her it never happened but she still thinks that. Her dad told her if that had happened she would have told him 1st chance bc when he gets home the first thing she does is bombard him with everything someone said or did to her. Nonetheless it's beyond obvious she believes it with all her heart🤯
@@ReRe-kr1htshe probbaly has a vivid dream. Sometimes its hard to distinguish dreams from reality when they pertain to things that could realistically happen. So when you wake up you dont really know whats real or not. For all we know in her dream she could have been beaten and then gone to her bed to cry then woke up from the dream resulting in her believing its true. Either that or a recurring dream since the more you dream about something the more you may believe its a real memory.
I’m a licensed mental health therapist for over 20+ years, & what you’re saying here is so true. There are numerous cases in the literature that point to exactly this. It was obvious from the time that Colin was a little boy that Kate didn’t like him. She was mean & cruel to him, even as a toddler, & singled him out as the “bad child” from a very early age. Maddie & Cara grew up w/ that example & definition of Colin by Kate. That was further solidified by sending him away & then everything Kate has done since to basically discard her son, blame & vilify him, & finally abandoning Colin & never looking back. What mother could do that? And that poor & boy was still open to a relationship w/ his mother. Who is mentally& emotionally healthier one, and who is more the adult in the room? Certainly not Kate, and never was. her. He’s 10 times more mature than Kate is. Colin couldn’t maintain control of his behavior as a toddler, & Kate could not cope w/ not being able to control Colin. I actually stopped watching the show as it was heartbreaking & infuriating. Kate is a textbook narcissist & control freak. There isn’t a warm bone in her body & sadly, one of the daughters seems like a mini Kate. It’s amazing that Colin turned out, as well as he has given all the struggles that he suffered. John has a longtime ex-girlfriend who was basically a surrogate mom for Colin & has remained in his life, which I think is wonderful. I bet it infuriates Kate that Colin sees a different woman as a mom … a mom who thinks he is a wonderful young man.
Kate put Colin in an institution at a very tender age and then never visited him. Nor did she sllow the other kids to do so. What an evil person she is, to abandon and isolate him like that, leaving a mental scar that will likely stay with him for life. And she calls herself a mother?!

Being a mother myself I could never do that to my child and not even come to visit him, not even once. This whole thing is heartbreaking. If Colin had problems when committed at 12 just imagine what type of trauma that caused that poor child. If anything he's going to have to be in therapy for a really long time. He probably has major trust issues that will last a lifetime. Kudos to Jon for stepping up and doing what was right by their son. They should have never had a reality show. All it did was make Kate's narcissistic traits worse thinking she knows best and living in a false sense of reality where she thinks she's better than others.

She very well could be telling the truth, but as Jon pointed out, Collin was still a young child when it happened. But this is what happens when golden children have the narcissistic parent in their ear telling them what to think.
I had one child who had anger issues, I decided to make it my main job to make her my priority. It wasn’t easy, but today, she became such a polite, well mannered young adult, she just won’t follow the classical route and wants things her way, without bothering others or at their expense. Love did that. Thank God his father stepped up to tell him he matters.

Why didn’t Kate ask Jon for help regarding Colin, instead of putting her son in an institution? He is Colin’s Dad, I would have said- He is acting out violently, he is hurting his siblings, I need help. I doubt Colin was a problem, and I doubt he has any kind of mental deficit. Remember our good old court system put a 10-year gag order an Jon Gosselin and he could not speak to his children or even mention their name to the public and they also did the same thing to protect Kate. 🤬🤬 Jon Gosselin and the children are the ones that needed to be protected not that evil $itch Kate !!! I had to come back on and add that when Jon Gosselin finally got to get Collin out of that mental facility he asked for a copy of all the records and he asked the doctor what Collins diagnosis was and the doctors did not have one diagnosis down but they had him on six different medicines in Jon ask them what they were for and the doctor said he needed them and that was the only answer they ever gave and all the medical records showed no kind of mental problems with Collin. 🤬🤬
Kate didn’t want Jon to have the kids, even for a 1hr visitation let alone to full time parent. If Jon didn’t want her he wasn’t allowed to have his kids.

In her diary she said that she got angry at Collin and pulled him up- by his hair- off of the ground. Anyone who could do that is dangerous and sick. Collin was her scapegoat child. Poor little boy.

Kate Goselin has used every one of those kids as cash cows. Colin having special needs was too inconvenient for Kate and interfered with her money-making machine, so she dumped him.
The irony of it all is that she and the kids have since moved out of that big ass house into a more modest home and she’s purportedly working to renew her nursing license. So after all of this, they’re essentially back to where they began. Jon is back to working IT and she’s trying to get back to working a normal job. Given the outcome you gotta ask…was it all worth it?

I also remember when they were divorcing she said the house was the kids and that they would share custody one week in the house-that they would be the ones going between the house which obviously did NOT work bc John was against filming the kids anymore. Using those kids for fake and fortune and then desperately grasping at anything to keep that fame. Those kids absolutely have harm from that show look at the Dionne quintuplets, they have been quite vocal how damaging it was being made a spectacle and I can only imagine this would have been worse because it was nationwide broadcasting

I'm glad Jon is Colin's support system. They have both gone through so much from Kate, but I sure hope Colin (as his whole youth was abuse in all aspects from his mother) has had time to heal properly. I can't imagine what he's endured from her and now accusations from siblings only due to her lies she's instilled in them all. Be strong Colin, I would put God first and foremost in your life and live your life for Him and you. Those were things he saw, heard and was taught. That’s was 1000% Kate. It’s so sad, that the adult children can not see or understand that yet. Thank TLC for doing all of that about the 10-year gag order because Kate had five attorneys on her side that TLC was paying for and even though Jon had a very good lawyer that he had to pay for out-of-pocket TLC was fighting so hard for Kate because of the show but after her and Jon's divorce the show was horrible and people stopped watching because they couldn't stand to see her abuse anymore. Kate even hid it from the cameras that Collin was gone for a long time because she would use his brother saying it was Collin because Kate didn't want anybody asking questions where Collin was.My gosh is that witch evil !!!👿👿
A situation he helped create. She was not a good Guy but he was not great either and Slacked while she did most of the work and eventually he walked out and left her to do all the work. They were both overwhelmed with all those kids all at once while they were young. It took a toll on them and their Marriage. A mediator and counseling was the Answer, Not him walking out.

It always blew my mind that she kept pushing this narrative that Collin was the problematic, violent explosive one, but Maddy who since season 1 of Jon and Kate had been violent, explosive and extremely disrespectful was only labeled as strong willed and dramatic.
@@lizm3999in an episode of J&K+8 i vividly remember Mady spanking one of the sextuplets and when she turned to see the camera filming her actions, she turned back to the toddler who was crying and started to pretend she was just tickling them. Mady was definitely violent and explosive, wouldn't surprise me at all to find out that she is still that way as an adult.
I agree. I stopped watching that show before we knew everything simply because Maddy was so horribly snotty and disrespectful. She needed correction that Kate not only didn't provide, but she seemed actually proud of that child's sarcasm and temper. I feel so sorry for Maddy. She will have much unhappiness in her life, caused by her behavior.
I wish kate would watch these videos and read the comments. I would love to see her reaction to the hate she gets and the support John gets. Her games backfire so badly. Narcissists have been outted. They cant get away with what they used too.
But she won't see it as an opportunity to self-reflect. It would likely spur on an escalation in her behavior. If she was ever going to look inward, it would've been seeing herself on their show and how she was constantly yelling and putting down not only her husband, but toddlers who didn't understand what they were doing "wrong." All those kids have to do is watch the show to see what's real. But fear is real, and they probably adapted out of fear of Kate.

I think Mady is the child that most takes after Kate too. It really is a special kind of evil to single a child out and ostracize everyone else against them during an extremely telling time of his childhood. His behavioral issues were symptoms and a direct result of the scapegoating and abuse he experienced since he was a baby. He’s probably the one that’s most sensitive natured, too. Narcissists always scapegoat the sensitive natured children that don’t conform to their world views and impossible standards. She started alienating him from his siblings the moment his sensitive personality became apparent. This is so triggering for me because I was Colin. My mother and brother were severely abusive towards me and it destroyed 4 decades of my life. I hope Colin is able to get complex trauma treatment to help him learn to love himself. He was in 4th grade, still young and still trying to cope and manage his emotions properly. And also kate never even paying a visit to collin when she put him in that institute, supposedly for his beat interest. If it was out of love she wouldve visited, she wouldv3 broight his siblings every weekend possible to see him. I know as a mother myself, the guilt i would feel having to put my child in an insitute and be seperated, because they needed the help. Kate didnt show any care for that whole situation, says a lot about her and the situation. A child younger then 8 or 9, even if they were showing signs of violence and yelling ect, that doesnt make you hate your child or label them in a bad way. You still love them no matter what, its clear as day she only looked out for herself abd continues to do so.

Whoopi told her it was illegal to do that and she was interfering with his time with the children. She was unprofessional and down right disrespectful to her PROFESSIONAL DANCE PARTNER/TEACHER on dancing with the stars. She went back to nursing and yet proceeded to steal over $750k from her children's trust fund from show earnings to buy herself a huge house. During the divorce, the network paid for her high end attorneys while jon paid over 1 MILLION OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET. That is how she got full custody. She is a nightmare of a human being.
You are correct because many people do not realize that TLC is the one that paid for all of Kate's legal actions against Jon and I will never forget that scene where poor little Collin got his bear dirty and Kate said it's going in the garbage now and that right there broke that little boy. 😢 I actually hold TLC partially responsible for what Kate did to those children because they were the ones that were fighting Jon Gosselin because he no longer wanted them on TV but since Kate Gosselin had five very well known attorneys on her side bought by TLC Jon Gosselin got no say in what his kids did or didn't do and then the judge slapped Jon with that 10-year gag order where he cannot speak of his children for Kate and that's where the justice system failed all of those children. I used to blame Jon in my own mind for being weak when watching their show. Now I realize he was the victim of abuse and was a gentle, sweet person trying to survive in a hostile environment.
Jon looks so healthy and sounds so good these days since his emancipation. This is good because if the children choose to leave their toxic environment, they have a good and loving Dad to go to like Colin.

Once you get personally involved with a narcissist you never forget and hopefully you learn enough to stay away from people with those traits in the future. I married one. He stole everything and my inheritance was nothing compared to what he did to my self esteem.

Idk why but my step daughter is convinced I beat her with a wire coat hanger a few yrs ago when she was 11. I haven't even seen wire hangers in YEARS but regardless I would never beat any of these kids with a hanger & it bothers me she legitimately believes that. Her own sister as well as my kids have tried telling her it never happened but she still thinks that. Her dad told her if that had happened she would have told him 1st chance bc when he gets home the first thing she does is bombard him with everything someone said or did to her. So when you wake up you dont really know whats real or not. For all we know in her dream she could have been beaten and then gone to her bed to cry then woke up from the dream resulting in her believing its true. I’m a licensed mental health therapist for over 20+ years, & what you’re saying here is so true. There are numerous cases in the literature that point to exactly this. It was obvious from the time that Colin was a little boy that Kate didn’t like him. She was mean & cruel to him, even as a toddler, & singled him out as the “bad child” from a very early age. Maddie & Cara grew up w/ that example & definition of Colin by Kate. That was further solidified by sending him away & then everything Kate has done since to basically discard her son, blame & vilify him, & finally abandoning Colin & never looking back. What mother could do that? And that poor & boy was still open to a relationship w/ his mother. Who is mentally& emotionally healthier one, and who is more the adult in the room? Certainly not Kate, and never was. her. He’s 10 times more mature than Kate is. Colin couldn’t maintain control of his behavior as a toddler, & Kate could not cope w/ not being able to control Colin. I actually stopped watching the show as it was heartbreaking & infuriating.
Kate is a textbook narcissist & control freak. There isn’t a warm bone in her body & sadly, one of the daughters seems like a mini Kate. It’s amazing that Colin turned out, as well as he has given all the struggles that he suffered. John has a longtime ex-girlfriend who was basically a surrogate mom for Colin & has remained in his life, which I think is wonderful. Being a mother myself I could never do that to my child and not even come to visit him, not even once. This whole thing is heartbreaking. If Colin had problems when committed at 12 just imagine what type of trauma that caused that poor child. If anything he's going to have to be in therapy for a really long time. He probably has major trust issues that will last a lifetime. Kudos to Jon for stepping up and doing what was right by their son. They should have never had a reality show. Maddy has always been terrible, even as a little kid.
I had one child who had anger issues, I decided to make it my main job to make her my priority. It wasn’t easy, but today, she became such a polite, well mannered young adult, she just won’t follow the classical route and wants things her way, without bothering others or at their expense. Love did that. Thank God his father stepped up to tell him he matters.

I had to come back on and add that when Jon Gosselin finally got to get Collin out of that mental facility he asked for a copy of all the records and he asked the doctor what Collins diagnosis was and the doctors did not have one diagnosis down but they had him on six different medicines in Jon ask them what they were for and the doctor said he needed them and that was the only answer they ever gave and all the medical records showed no kind of mental problems with Collin. 🤬🤬

Kate Goselin has used every one of those kids as cash cows. Colin having special needs was too inconvenient for Kate and interfered with her money-making machine, so she dumped him.
The irony of it all is that she and the kids have since moved out of that big ass house into a more modest home and she’s purportedly working to renew her nursing license.
So after all of this, they’re essentially back to where they began. Jon is back to working IT and she’s trying to get back to working a normal job.
Given the outcome you gotta ask…was it all worth it?

Jon is now doing pretty successful, has a great job and a very supportive wife, who is staying pretty well in the spotlight making good money in the center of it all, all while Kate is going back to a job as a nurse while cameras are shunning her away mostly these days.

And the other thing is Kate is the only one that said that Collin had any type of learning disabilities and when his dad finally got him out of that place which was the last place he was in because Kate moved him further away from the family and used that as an excuse that's why she never once went and saw him but anyways when Jon ask to see the paperwork to see what the doctors diagnosed him with they gave no diagnosis but he was on like six different kinds of medications. 🤬🤬🤬 Kate Gosselin is the damn devil and she ended up stealing all of the children's money and she kept a chart by charging them for rent, food, clothing, medical expenses, and anything else that it cost to raise a child and that's how she justified the children ending up with no money !!! 👿

They have both gone through so much from Kate, but I sure hope Colin (as his whole youth was abuse in all aspects from his mother) has had time to heal properly. I am proud of Jon. He dealt with an awful situation. And I never even knew he was under a 10 year gag order??? No freakin wonder, she got to look like the “good guy” through this whole thing. Thank TLC for doing all of that about the 10-year gag order because Kate had five attorneys on her side that TLC was paying for and even though Jon had a very good lawyer that he had to pay for out-of-pocket TLC was fighting so hard for Kate because of the show but after her and Jon's divorce the show was horrible and people stopped watching because they couldn't stand to see her abuse anymore. A situation he helped create. She was not a good Guy but he was not great either and Slacked while she did most of the work and eventually he walked out and left her to do all the work. They were both overwhelmed with all those kids all at once while they were young. It took a toll on them and their Marriage. A mediator and counseling was the Answer, Not him walking out.

Mady was definitely violent and explosive, wouldn't surprise me at all to find out that she is still that way as an adult.
I agree. I stopped watching that show before we knew everything simply because Maddy was so horribly snotty and disrespectful. I think Mady is the child that most takes after Kate too. It really is a special kind of evil to single a child out and ostracize everyone else against them during an extremely telling time of his childhood.
His behavioral issues were symptoms and a direct result of the scapegoating and abuse he experienced since he was a baby. He’s probably the one that’s most sensitive natured, too.
Narcissists always scapegoat the sensitive natured children that don’t conform to their world views and impossible standards. She started alienating him from his siblings the moment his sensitive personality became apparent.
This is so triggering for me because I was Colin. My mother and brother were severely abusive towards me and it destroyed 4 decades of my life. I hope Colin is able to get complex trauma treatment to help him learn to love himself. Programmed Self hate destroys entire lives.

Exactly, in 4th grade! The mother seems to have manipulated the rest of her children so much thwy cant even see past that! He was in 4th grade, still young and still trying to cope and manage his emotions properly. It doesnt help that their mother was verbully abusive & neglectful to collin, that definately wouldve pushed a small child to breaking point. And also kate never even paying a visit to collin when she put him in that institute, supposedly for his beat interest. If it was out of love she wouldve visited, she wouldv3 broight his siblings every weekend possible to see him. I know as a mother myself, the guilt i would feel having to put my child in an insitute and be seperated, because they needed the help. Kate didnt show any care for that whole situation, says a lot about her and the situation. A child younger then 8 or 9, even if they were showing signs of violence and yelling ect, that doesnt make you hate your child or label them in a bad way. You still love them no matter what, its clear as day she only looked out for herself abd continues to do so.
