They discuss how he found 9 donors and their impact on his heath, how to properly screen a donor, how to do the transplant, the need for high quality donors and the potential profit healthy people may be flushing down the toilet. Kudos to this guy for sharing his knowledge and experience. He has shown incredible bravery on his journey. To stand outside a gym and ask complete strangers to become donors must have been impossibly difficult. He is a champion and will be seen as someone who has been an ambassador for this exciting new area of medicine. I hope he is doing well. Great interview Lindsey.

Thank you for this podcast, it's great that we are talking about gut microbiome and how FMT or probiotic and diet can help. I learned about FMT not long ago since a study in Norway on 164 IBS patients had amazing results with FMT getting around 47 per cent remission rate with just one super healthy donor transplant whereas placebo had close to zero remission. Also hope you will soon be able to have great health Michael. I personally am affected by severe IBS, and it affects me greatly not only in my guts, I have a lot of joints problems even though I am young, my heart is affected as well, I am tired all of the time, etc... So this means a bad gut microbiome can affect quite a lot in the body, I really hope the FDA will eventually understand that FMT is all about donor health and that it shouldn't been banned but instead regulated. We don't ban kidney transplant just because donors and patients are not compatible.

That was interesting, I enjoyed it Lindsey. I want to find out from Ken in our Hack Your Gut group if there is an ideal lab fluid that would support the growth of all gut bacteria.

Hi! Great talk. Any leads on a decent to good probiotic supplement (other than fermented foods) on a budget?
And, I’ve been trying to find RDS in Florida and have had no luck. Any leads there,Maybe it’s closed…?

I think RDS changed names. But that's for fecal transplants, which definitely aren't on a budget. I choose probiotics based on conditions. See this blog post of mine: highdeserthealthcoaching.com/choosing-the-right-probiotic-to-heal-what-ails-you/

@@highdeserthealth thank you! I’ve got friends that could use probiotics and FMT’s that aren’t on a budget! Love to find the new-named facility.
I don’t have any real particular digestive issues. So a broad and basic probiotic would be great! I will check out the link and will share. Thank you much for your time!

@@Madebythehandsoflove You can find Seed probiotic in my Fullscript Dispensary as a great general probiotic. If someone is looking for an FMT donor, I'd look at these guys first: www.humanmicrobes.org/ - my next podcast is with the founder.

Are these stool banks still in business?

Not sure which ones you're referring to but there are clinics that still do FMT overseas and I think MG Infusions is still selling stool online.
