"Marsh Ice-Out"

As spring advances, many of the ducks on the river disperse into surrounding wetlands when the ice disappears. With the marsh fully open for business, Wild Journey Films follows hooded mergansers, wood ducks, mallards, and others, into the cattails. As courtship behavior escalates, established duck pairs must defend their bond or risk losing it to other aggressive drakes. It can be a challenging time on the marsh as the rite of spring plays out. But also a time of fantastic beauty and serenity.
