Prince was an incredible musician. He wrote, produced and played all the instruments on his tracks. He paved the way for other artists not to be exploited by their record labels. It's so sad he is gone but like so many other great artists he was a tortured soul and the loss of his baby boy was too much. I don't think he ever fully recovered from it and self medicated the pain. Hope he is finally at peace ❤ 😢
Prince was asked why he wore high heels and he simply said " because women love them ". He was running parallel and possibly a little ahead of other similar movements around the world that were anti butch rock. He was reported to have affairs with some beautiful women but never felt the need to define his sexuality.
Prince is a performer… He knew how to get the attention first…. But his music held you.. He had a wife and a child, who sadly passed….. Prince was once of a kind…

Check out his hits, Pop Life, Delirious, I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man, Adore, Sexy Mutha F’cker, and more! As far as anyone knows Prince was straight and many musicians back in the eighties wore makeup! Most of the New Wave artists and Glam rockers wore makeup! David Bowie, DuranDuran❤, Poison, Adam Ant, and many more! I was a teen in those days and believe me all my favorite straight male rock idols wore makeup at that time! Later on Prince along with the others stopped wearing makeup because Fashion and styles changed! He was just sexy as heck and has some nasty songs like Darling Nikki, Head, Erotic City, Cream, and more! Check those out too!😂❤❤
Wanna have your mind blown 🤯 “Little Nicky,” he was just his own thing and I believe he is completely straight. I could be wrong. And he just has the type of eyelashes and brows and facial structure that makes him look like he is wearing makeup when he is not.

Glad youre enjoying your musically development. I was raised to love all types of music..so it's fun to watch your excitement. Have a great day & Blessed be❤😊

Woohoo. I saw the Purple Rain concert in the 80's! There was no one better for a live show. NO ONE! Everyone involved put everything they had into that show. The Time, Shelia E.....they were all incredible. I cannot even imagine the rehearsal it took....The audience got paid! I came home and told my mom that I thought we owed Prince money, lol. Big thumbs up! edit: bunch of guys in the 80's wore makeup; it did not speak to their bedroom preferences...Bowie, all the metal hair bands, Duran Duran, Adam Ant... those were simply excessive, big hair, wild, glamorous times and Prince just did it best.
Prince discovered Tara Patrick and renamed her Carmen Electra. She was his muse, girlfriend and protege for awhile. He wrote an album for her and cast her as a singer and dancer. Prince was something else when it came to the ladies.
No woman ever thought he was gay. Though he in no way would be someone I would normally find attractive, he was the exception. The man exuded sensuality and carnality. He was sexy in a small package. Never in my life have I found make up on a man even cute but I barely notice it on him. Remember, in that time frame, many wore eyeliner etc that did heavy metal. Not full on like he did but definitely was done. I was never an ultra fan but I did like alot of his work. He was extraordinarily talented. He was a PRINCE.
I just remember back in the 80's I was a manager of a convenience store, now don;t hold this against me. I had an employee who played Prince on the radio in the store, and I told him not to play that music in the store, I thought it was too kinky I don't know it was fast. LOL boy was I behind the times I love love his music now.
It was such a scene then. We dressed up EVERY weekend night, went to the clubs, and danced the nights away. The women LOVED him, he was not for the guys. He was easy to dance to in high high heels.
look closely and you can catch a very young Pat Smear (future member of Nirvana and the Foo Fighters). He's in the background, on the right side sitting in front of the piano, with long dark hair and wearing all white.
I watched an interview with his first ex-wife once where she explained the first time she met him. She said he was wearing heals, ruffles, lace and smelled like women's perfume but was the most masculine man in the room. He just had the stuff. Prince was once asked about wearing heels. He said people think he wore heels because he is short, I wear them because the women love it. True that! Haha!
Prince was a Jehovahs Witness. He was married twice and had a son, but his son passed away. Prince Roger Nelson is his full name and he passed away in 2016, which it just seams like it was just yesterday.
True story. Been a fan of Prince since 1980. I'm also a minister. One day, I was visiting a young couple for marriage counseling at their home. A couple of doors down was a brick house with purple trim and a "cloud suit" mailbox. I knew immediately it was Prince-related. So I did about the oddest thing you could do, walked up and rang the bell, and when the man came out, I told him I recognized his "Prince house" and totally approved. I think he was a little surprised, but said, thank you, I paint it all myself. Just a funny story how true Prince fans/fams can spot each other with the slightest suggestion.

He plays every instrument !!! Including drums . He can bawl on the Bb court too!!in heels!!
Prince was married twice to two different women and he always loved women. He was a man in every sense of the word.
Prince is a performer… He knew how to get the attention first…. But his music held you..
He had a wife and a child, who sadly passed….. Prince was once of a kind…
Kat Williams said in his club shay shay interview that he knew Prince since he was 12, and they had a connection and they had 2 main things in common, women, and cars.
Prince is a legend and genius! You have only begun to scratch the surface of his talent! Check those out too!😂❤❤
Wanna have your mind blown 🤯
“Little Nicky,” he was just his own thing and I believe he is completely straight. I could be wrong.
And he just has the type of eyelashes and brows and facial structure that makes him look like he is wearing makeup when he is not.
Man, I would pay to see his reaction to that song…or “Gett Off”! LOL
Darling Nikki
Yeah, Little Nicky was a terrible movie Darling Nicki is the song.
Yes! Prince is my #1 fav since I'm been 11-12yrs old & I'm in my 50s. Was devastated when he died and still bothers me..musical genius.
It's Raspberry Beret..Beret is a hat and it's French its pronounced like Ber-ray) & it's the hat that all the military people wear..my dad wore one in the Army..the flatter type cap that tilts to one side and pins are wore it or patch ; my dads had a 1st Cavalry patch on it. Glad youre enjoying your musically development. I was raised to love all types of music..so it's fun to watch your excitement. Have a great day &
Blessed be❤😊
Men wore makeup starting with David Bowie in the 70s and then into early 80s New Wave and then late 80s Hair Metal. But yes, Prince was a trailblazer.
Got to see Prince live twice in LA... Amazing show 🔥
Prince was and still is an icon. He could play every instrument. Mega talented. He was a Player!! Go watch the movie Purple Rain. It has your answers. He wrote the movie, full soundtrack which was the album Purple Rain. He loved Little Richard, hence the makeup and dance moves. Let’s Go 🤘🏻🇺🇸💯
Prince broke all the rules. Fabulously, I might add. 🔥
You need to check out “Darling Nikki” and “ Prince Live-Play That Funky Music- Hollywood Singing”, amazing live performance!
He was STRAIGHT. It was the era of flamboyant glam rock
A few years ago, this was explained to me as Prince's tribute to the Beatles. Once you hear it, you can't unhear it!
Best guitar player to ever live!!
Not the best but close. Too bad the magazines didn't see it
@@carlajimenez5483 Within a hairs breath of the best then 😂 ! It’s not too late for the world to see! ❤️
Around the world in a day was such a great album...
You are getting hung up on imagery ,Prince was not gay ! It was part of the show! Make up doesn’t mean you homosexual or bisexual!
The guys in KISS weren't gay... Neither was Motley Cruel or Poison, Twisted Sister or a million other bands or singers.
Prince discovered Tara Patrick and renamed her Carmen Electra. She was his muse, girlfriend and protege for awhile. He wrote an album for her and cast her as a singer and dancer. Prince was something else when it came to the ladies.
Prince was straight, gorgeous and loved pushing boundaries. On the other hand, Lisa and Wendy were a couple.
They asked Eric Clapton how does it feel to be the greatest guitarist in the world
He commented i dont know I never met Prince
No woman ever thought he was gay. Though he in no way would be someone I would normally find attractive, he was the exception.
The man exuded sensuality and carnality. He was sexy in a small package. Never in my life have I found make up on a man even cute but I barely notice it on him. Remember, in that time frame, many wore eyeliner etc that did heavy metal. Not full on like he did but definitely was done.
I was never an ultra fan but I did like alot of his work.
He was extraordinarily talented. He was a PRINCE.
The Revolution was a GREAT band. I especially loved The Doctor on keyboards. Look at him in the back getting down in his scrubs. lol
I just remember back in the 80's I was a manager of a convenience store, now don;t hold this against me. I had an employee who played Prince on the radio in the store, and I told him not to play that music in the store, I thought it was too kinky I don't know it was fast. LOL boy was I behind the times I love love his music now.
Prince looked like Little Richard, played guitar like Jimmy Hendrix and danced like James Brown. All his idols
He was straight. He was actually married once and had a child who died. The makeup is just a look and back in the day, lots of musicians did it.
It was such a scene then. We dressed up EVERY weekend night, went to the clubs, and danced the nights away. The women LOVED him, he was not for the guys. He was easy to dance to in high high heels.
People just don't understand how unique Prince was. There was nobody like him.
look closely and you can catch a very young Pat Smear (future member of Nirvana and the Foo Fighters).
He's in the background, on the right side sitting in front of the piano, with long dark hair and wearing all white.
In the eighties, all the musicians wore eye makeup. Prince was straight as an arrow.

Prince was a ladies Man R.I.P. Prince you ARE Missed
You should check out Charlie Murphy's true Hollywood stories about Prince. 🤣😂😂🤣
Prince conquered music
I was blessed to be able to see Prince with Sheila E. opening on the Purple Rain tour. It was A MA ZING!
