  • I haven't really heard of anyone putting themselves out there and being the guy to be picked apart and told "thats not how you do it.." So i am volunteering lol... thid should be interesting... The solution is simple tho... i dont watch 😲😳😬 Its too bad because instead of working together everyone wants to unnecessarily pick sides and prove someone wrong... well it won't take you long to find something i said thats stupid 😂😂😂

    I really just enjoy your quiet and warm caring and charming attitude. Have a port out the front without a little pipe on the inside side it’s getting pushed from the middle of the cloud in the can… it’s not a pipe…. I watch your videos because you are working with the newer models and I don’t have or really see these saw’s… but I’m now really familiar with what they look like inside just incase one gets dropped in my lap….

    I'm right with ya on the dual port theory. I think the lung porting works great on a few other saws besides stihl. You make this sh!t look like a art form lol. Good job sir!

    I see a lot of good Guys (builders) getting very frustrated/ negative and it makes for shit viewing , loss of likes etc. Carry on & block those jack asses who’s only goal is to piss YOU off !

    Love your videos . I wonder if there is a lite wrist pin (or can you make one) To help with weight of moving mass. This would put it on a serious diet . Just a thought for a old outboard mechanic. Lit up old OMC s

    My stock 462 with the WCS kit, factory muffler port blocked off and just the bark box. Sounds better, snappier and more peak power I believe. Then with it dual setup.

    73yo just discovered the idea porting saws. Used to do these things to my race bikes in 60's and 70's. I've used chain saws but never thought about this before and I am very curious. Don't know why or how I would use one, but I think I want one!

    My muffler has three holes in it. Runs cooler. Sounds kind of strange though in the mid range with no load on it. It doesn't have that four stroking bubble to it. Best I can describe it it sounds kind of like it's just free spinning. Strange. I've got another stock muffler to play with.
    Edit to add, I've seen several people show their cylinders on here but yours by far look the best.

  • @adraonbuck
    @adraonbuck ปีที่แล้ว

    alright this is awesome to see.
    I did a build virtually identical to this on my 500i, (only difference is i tried a windowed piston) and it runs amazing.. except it keeps 4 stroking in any cuts that are relatively unloaded (limbing, scribing, plunge cuts)
    Whats even stranger is a did another one prior, but didn't touch the upper tranfers, and that one has no issues with 4 stroking.. its kinda driving me nuts.
    im seriously considering saying f*ck it and finger porting it just to see if i can fix it.
    any insights from anyone on here would be appreciated, lol

    • @Witschor
      @Witschor ปีที่แล้ว

      I think a windowed Piston only makes sense, when you shortcut the Uppers.

    • @jacobfurnish7450
      @jacobfurnish7450 ปีที่แล้ว

      do you sell your ported saws or no?

    • @adraonbuck
      @adraonbuck ปีที่แล้ว

      When you say shortcut the uppers do you mean finger port? I’m kinda new to porting and all the terminology.
      Also I did the windowed piston on my other 500i and it runs perfectly, completely solved the 4 stoking issue. And on that one I didn’t even touch the upper transfers.. I’m just trying to make sense of it.

      Not at the moment, Falling is my day job, I mostly build saws for myself.

    The reason people run dual port exhaust is because they think the noise is actually making more horsepower just because it's louder. But the fact is a lot of people don't understand how a two-stroke engine works. When it expels exhaust gases. It also gets rid of some good oxygen along with some unburned fuel. That's why expansion pipes on motocross bikes help with this problem. Believe it or not, sometimes a little bit of the wasted unburned fuel will go back in through the exhast and be burnt on the second cycle. But without the expansion chamber this cannot take place properly. So dual port just makes more noise and loses more air and fuel = horsepower loss

  • @SMOKEY-JAYS-DIESEL
    @SMOKEY-JAYS-DIESEL ปีที่แล้ว

    I honestly will never ever run a dual port muffler again. I lost quite a bit of power on my MS660
