Got to hand it to you, you are a decent guy. Most mechanics have a very different attitude and always look to making more money, no matter what. Your approach of letting the customer decide what they want to do is admirable. However, while this is a great long term strategy, your short term bottom line will suffer. I have worked on a number of vehicles laying in the snow. I know it's no fun but it sure is satisfying to fix something when conditions are not the best. Well done!!!

Carry a disposable plastic seat covers with you when working in ice and snow.
I also carried batteries in my truck and did very well selling them in winter.
You also need a magnetic parts tray, it can be time waister to look for bolts in the engine.

Hey Ernest, hope all is well. I know it's probably normal for you, but I wish we could even get snow to stick for more than a few hours! Anyway, as it's cold and a tough time for everyone, you and your business are essential, not only to get your and other's vehicles running, but to do it more affordably and efficiently than your competition, which ultimately benefits the customer. All in all, hope you and yours are having a great holiday and I hope the weather isn't bogging you down. Keep on wrenching!
