Those areas have incredibly narrow lanes which were fine to walk in when I was a kid 60 years ago, being a Welsh peasant who grew up in backwater Powys and Shropshire , but Ive been not far from Wallop in an area full of these fantastic thatched homes and the roads are clogged with Audis or Mercs with room only for one at a time. The ambience of rural Britain can be sullied by our cars. Maybe certain hamlets of period houses ought to consider keeping cars out???? Operate a horse and carriage shuttle service run by an obliging yokel with an incomprehensible dialect and distinct odour.
I believe this was featured on ETTC. I can't think of a more perfect house. Here in the US, we don't really have 16th Century homes. I live in New England and there are a few 17th Century homes. I adore a thatched roof. Thanks for uploading this amazing video. P.S. Great jacket! 😎

My cottage is a cottage, It would fit in the living room of this house! So, I think I'd argue the point that this is a bit larger, mind you a wee bit larger, than a "cottage"......though I have actually driven past this very house many years ago in Hampshire.....lovely
