In this video, I’ll guide you through replacing the stock plastic heater hose joiner with a robust GKTech metal coolant bleeder port. This upgrade is crucial for any Nissan owner, as the OEM plastic hose joiner is notorious for breaking unexpectedly, potentially leaving you stranded and facing dangerous situations. Nissan's design flaw can lead to sudden coolant loss, but with this simple yet effective upgrade, you can ensure your cooling system's reliability and durability.
    🔧 Why Upgrade?
*Prevent Unexpected Breakdowns:* The stock plastic joiner can fail without warning, leading to coolant leaks and engine overheating.
*Enhanced Durability:* The GKTech metal coolant bleeder port is built to last, providing a more secure and long-lasting solution.
*Peace of Mind:* Drive confidently knowing your cooling system is fortified against one of its weakest points.
    🛠️ What You'll Need:
GK Tech Metal Coolant Bleeder Port
    Basic hand tools
    Coolant
    Flexible spring clamp pliers
    Step-by-Step Installation:
    1. *Preparation:* Ensure your engine is cool and gather all necessary tools.
    2. *Drain Coolant:* Safely drain the coolant to prevent spills.
    3. *Remove Stock Joiner:* Carefully remove the stock plastic heater hose joiner.
    4. *Install GKTech Bleeder Port:* Install the new metal bleeder port, ensuring a secure fit.
    5. *Refill Coolant & Bleed Air:* Refill the cooling system and bleed any air to ensure optimal performance.

How did you bleed the air out after you installed the part back on the hoses? I see you lifted the coolant reservoir above the engine bay and started your car on jacks. And I’m assuming you just keep refilling the reservoir until it was full. But how did you force out the air without opening the radiator cap and filling from that end as well?

Used a coolant funnel and the back bleed port that was installed in this video.

Man all these plastic parts suck, all to lower costs for the manufacturers but ticking time bomb to customers

100% such weak points. Not even asking for much but just put metal where you know plastic will fail. But I guess that’s the beauty of us working on our cars to make them better than factory
