I could watch this video 100 times and have all those tool snap still not get anywhere close to that result. This takes a VERY skilled eye to know the angles to pull, how hard to pull, where to hammer, ect, ect. Extremely skilled art here. You can tell this dude has been doing this for a very long time.

Yeah, but now you've got a paint system that is different from factory. You may have to blend into the bonnet or risk a mismatch. You've also got to remove door top trim (with risk of rippling it) and handle (or mask around and have lacquer peel later) and soft mask the lacquer all around the door. You've also got to rust protect the inside of the wing and align for all gaps. Then in three years time your paint blend will start to show because refinishing paints are literally a different product to production paint. Then you've got the cost of the wing (assuming it's available), time off road, energy costs for your oven and environmental costs. Most of all, the value of the car after this sort of PDR to this quality is completely as it was the minute before the accident. A multiple painted car is never as nice and therefore never worth as much as something with 100% factory paint.

The major part of this type of repair that is not mentioned in the video is the fact that the metal is stretched when damaged and must be shrunk while being repaired. But there is no mention of how the shrinking operation is being accomplished.

This is a work of art, plus very well explained. How does the repair cost compares to a classic repair with repainting, or replacing? Assuming there are no visible scratches.

I can see where this would be most beneficial elsewhere on the car, front finders are relatively cheap and easy to change. Great job here.

Awesome this is body work skills advanced and best way I have ever seen for fix dent like that dent , great work here. Amazing. What about coming at dent from other side , ??? In old cars I used to pound out dents , but this was next level dent repair. Pull the metal as well. Force it back to original shape when fender lines up with door like this. Perfect job. Your a professional bodyman , metal worker and more. Thanks for sharing

Great work. but unless this only takes 12minutes in reality to make it look this good. I feel like it's still way easier to replace a repainted fender then do all this but that's ok because I still live in the stone age. But you did a hell a of a job I'm just saying a respray and replace is easier for me. This dude is an absolute pro. Hes the man of steel I wanna be the man of recycled steel

that's a pretty damn good effort to pull a dent like that paintless, even though you can see where the sharper lines aren't quite the same as the other side.
