Hi, I'm new to Christianity. Sort of lead here in my attempts to prove God is real. So my sister asked me, what type of Christian I am? I said I hadn't got that far. I understand, though, that keeping the original sabbath is important and what was asked. I see how others have misinterpreted this, changed it and even disrespected it by making it a Sunday. So I know so far I'm not roman Catholic. My question is, what type of Christian was Jesus? That's the one I chose. Thank you 😊

Thank you so much for these series. When my husband and I found out about the pagan holidays we celebrate nowadays without asking why, like Xmas and Easter, every year gets easier and easier not to celebrate them. It's just a normal day for us. Keeping the Sabbath Holy was the next big step. This is the second Sabbath we tried but weren't sure it was the right day. We believe Elohim lead us to this video. Thank you Yeshua! 🙏🙏🙏

@@93556108 that is your false statement. Please watch "Does John 6:4 belongs to the Bible" by Nehemiah Gordon, if you want to know the truth. Original treatments were written in Hebrew, then translated to Greek, then to Latin, then to English and so on. Verses im our Bibles have been added or mistranslated. But if you love celebrating pagan holidays like Xmas and eater, don't bother trying to find out the truth. Even though, Yeshua said " The truth will set you free".

    • @93556108
      @93556108 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Francelle W Nehemiah Gordon though has a Phd in Hebrews, he is still fallible. As English speakers, we have a particularly wide variety - everything from more-or-less “literal” translations like the NASB which tie very closely to the original structure of the text, to more readable translations like the NIV. There are paraphrases, versions that seek a balance, versions with simplified language for children. So long as one understands the translation philosophy, many if not most translations are perfectly useful for understanding God’s will for us.
Most of the time, it’s not translations that are a problem - it’s on whether we divide the word of truth correctly. Our nature is such that we tend to not want to follow God’s clear command in our lives. Did God really mean no sex before marriage? Well, yeah. Is getting drunk really that bad? Do I really need to forgive that guy? Do I really need to talk about Jesus?
Now coming back to the topic of discussion, can you biblically prove to me Christians still must keep the Sabbath as you claimed to be keeping the Sabbath. The onus is on you to substantiate your own claim with biblical evidence.
Christmas , though it is based on some Pagan customs, but that’s the decorations and the tree and such, none of which are mentioned in the bible, that’s more the commercial side that has taken over. Even Pagans do not celebrate Christmas for that reason. Easter is again based on a Pagan celebration but is about the death and resurrection of Christ, although the story of Ishtar dates back a 1000 years before the Christian one.

@@93556108 when you actually read the Bible, it says it right there. But men like to add and subtract from the Bible. I have an opened mind and don't close my ears just because I don't like the truth. If I did, I would be still catholic, worshipping virgen mary, and all saints.
I am very disappointed with the so called "Christians" who think they figured it out and they are right. Like you said, the majority of Christians celebrate easter and/or xmas, even though it has pagan roots but "as long as you celebrate Christ in your heart" it's ok. What a big lie. You pick and choose what God's law to keep.
If Yeshua nailed the Torah or the 10 commandments, why did He even bother to teach to follow Elohim's commandments if it wasn't going to matter once Yeshua died on the cross? Nowhere in the Bible says to celebrate His birthday or Resurrection but yet, you Christians keep celebrating those pagan holidays because in your heart you are celebrating Christ, right? So, that makes it ok.
And, if it doesn't really matter what day to keep, either Saturday (Sabbath) or Sunday, then why not keep Saturday, like Elohim asked: "REMEMBER to keep the Sabbath holy"? Just saying.
If you are happy with your men made traditions, keep listening to your pastor. If you want to know the truth because truth does mattet, keep looking.
Mark 7:8-9 " For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the traditions of men, as the washing of pots and cups; and many other such like things ye do. And He said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God that ye may keep your own traditions..."

Swenett, ; certainly, it is your liberty to observe the Sabbath but it is not commanded by the Bible that Christians must keep the Sabbath. There is no evidence of anyone keeping the Sabbath from Genesis until Exo20 when God made a covenant with the children of Israel where He introduced the Sabbath specifically with the Jews but Gentiles were excluded from this covenant (Eph2:11-13). Thus the Sabbath keeping is not binding to Christians.
Apparently, you don’t understand the principle of interpreting scripture and living in denial of the truth.
Please quote to me just a verse Christians must keep the Sabbath. God bless.

Christians are living under the new covenant and should observed the Law of Christ and NOT under the old covenant law of Sabbath (Rom7:4-6) which doesn’t apply to us. If you insist to go against the will of God it is your freewill choice but ultimately you will hear from Jesus in the final judgment; “Depart from me I never knew you.” (Mat7:23). Thank you, that is a brilliant explanation. Do you know that God predicted that His law wil be changed. In Daniel He said that the "man of sin" will think to change times and laws." Do you realise that God calls the Sabbath a sign or mark between Him and His people and that the Catholic church calls the sunday their " mark" of authority? Letter from C.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons on October 28, 1895:
Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change was her act…And the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters. Sunday observance will thus become the mark of the beast. It is clear that Roman Catholicism is the beast or anti christ.

We do not believe God caused you to drop your keys in the snow to punish you for helping your neighbor.

Believers today continue to dispute whether the Sabbath is required. The Sabbath was given to Israel as a covenant sign, and Israel was commanded to rest on the seventh day. We see elsewhere in the Old Testament that covenants have signs, so that the sign of the Noahic covenant is the rainbow (Gen. 9:8-17) and the sign of the Abrahamic covenant is circumcision (Gen. 17). The paradigm for the Sabbath was God’s rest on the seventh day of creation (Gen. 2:1-3). So, too, Israel was called upon to rest from work on the seventh day (Exod. 20:8-11; 31:12-17). What did it mean for Israel not to work on the Sabbath? Figure 5 lists the kinds of activities that were prohibited and permitted.Jesus’ observance of the Sabbath does not constitute strong evidence for its continuation in the new covenant. His observance of the Sabbath makes excellent sense, for he lived under the Old Testament law. He was “born under the law” as Paul says (Gal. 4:4). On the other hand, a careful reading of the Gospel accounts intimates that the Sabbath will not continue to play a significant role. Jesus proclaims as the Son of Man that he is the “lord even of the Sabbath” (Mark 2:28). The Sabbath does not rule over him, but he rules over the Sabbath. He is the new David, the Messiah, to whom the Sabbath and all the Old Testament Scriptures point (Matt. 12:3-4). Indeed, Jesus even claimed in John 5:17 that he, like his Father, works on the Sabbath. Working on the Sabbath, of course, is what the Old Testament prohibits, but Jesus claimed that he must work on the Sabbath since he is equal with God (John 5:18).
It is interesting to consider here the standpoint of the ruler of the synagogue in Luke 13:10-17. He argued that Jesus should heal on the other six days of the week and not on the Sabbath. On one level this advice seems quite reasonable, especially if the strict views of the Sabbath that were common in Judaism were correct. What is striking is that Jesus deliberately healed on the Sabbath so no it isn't required to keep the Sabbath but if you want to keep it you can keep it.

Order 66 I have come to understand that the points Jesus wanted all to understand about the Sabbath is that it is “Legal and right” to do good on the Sabbath as needed including meeting bodily needs.
He used an animal falling into a hole and getting it out as one example and David and his men eating the showbread, which was unlawful to do when they accused him and his disciples of working when they rubbed some grain between their hands in order to feed their hunger. Basically, sometimes we find ourselves in situations that require a response. This is why Jesus said to use righteous judgment.

The Sabbath is a day when we pause from our normal labors and activities and rest for 24 hours on the seventh day of the week (from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday as the Bible counts time). The Bible doesn’t give a complete list activities that can or can’t be done, so God expects individuals to determine prayerfully what activities allow for a joyful, restful celebration of this feast of the LORD (Leviticus 23:2-3). See some general principles to consider in this article: lifehopeandtruth.com/bible/10-commandments/sabbath/how-to-keep-the-sabbath/.

Hello, T.W. That is a very interesting question that doesn’t have a simple answer. Regarding Polycarp, most of what we know about him comes from later writers who wrote about him after his death (such as Irenaeus, Tertullian and Eusebius). His later biographers were, in many ways, more closely aligned with the version of Christianity that became the Roman Catholic Church. But 2 Timothy 3:16 tells us that our doctrines should be grounded in Scripture. So, in that sense, it’s irrelevant what personalities who aren’t mentioned in Scripture did or did not do. We believe the Sabbath is holy and to be observed today because we believe it is what Scripture reveals. Jesus Christ’s example is the one that really matters, and it’s clear that He set us the example of keeping the Sabbath holy. He called Himself “the Lord of the Sabbath” (Mark 2:28). If, therefore, those who were brought up in the ancient order of things have come to the possession of a new hope, no longer observing the Sabbath, but living in the observance of the Lord’s Day, on which also our life has sprung up again by Him and by His death-whom some deny, by which mystery we have obtained faith, and therefore endure, that we may be found the disciples of Jesus Christ, our only Master
(Letter to the Magnesians(shorter) Chapter IX.-Let us live with Christ [A.D. 110]).
During the Sabbath He continued under the earth in the tomb in which Joseph of Arimathæa had laid Him. At the dawning of the Lord’s day He arose from the dead, according to what was spoken by Himself, “As Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly, so shall the Son of man also be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” The day of the preparation, then, comprises the passion; the Sabbath embraces the burial; the Lord’s Day contains the resurrection

@@t.w.wright2520 Hello, T.W. The two documents you referred to are attributed to Ignatius of Antioch. The tradition of the Catholic Church is that he was a disciple of the apostle John. However, that is tradition and cannot be proven definitively as historical fact. Very little is known about his life outside of traditions that arose after his death. It’s also important to note that there is much debate about the authenticity of the epistles attributed to Ignatius. Many scholars feel they were written later and attributed to Ignatius to give their message more authority. The point is, scholars are divided on whether these writings are genuinely from the era of the primitive church or if they were written later and attributed to first-century personalities. Reading through the alleged Epistle to the Magnesians reveals some statements that resemble later Catholic theology much more than the primitive Christianity we find in the New Testament scriptures. For instance, the same document includes the statement “your bishop presides in the place of God” (Chap. VI). The quote you shared about the Sabbath and Sunday also doesn’t reflect the teachings of the New Testament. If you want to base your beliefs and practice on extra-biblical writings, that is your choice. We choose to base our belief and practices on the foundation of Jesus Christ and the inspired Word of God (1 Corinthians 3:11; Ephesians 2:20; 2 Timothy 3:16).

Hello, Aaron! That is a good question, and there are differing opinions on it within the Sabbath-keeping community. The Church of God, a Worldwide Association (the sponsor of Life, Hope & Truth) does not teach it is a sin to eat out on the Sabbath. We don’t believe a server is the equivalent of an employee. A Sabbath-keeper has no control over whether that person works or not. But, on matters like this, Sabbath-keepers have to make their own decision based on conscience. If they genuinely feel eating out at a restaurant is wrong, then they should avoid eating out on the Sabbath.

No where does the bible say gentiles keep the 7th day sabbath. It always talks about Jews. Prove me wrong.
Two passages in particular from the apostle Paul spell out the implications of Jesus’s lordship over the Sabbath. The first is Colossians 2:16-17:
Let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
“What Paul says here is remarkable,” Tom Schreiner writes, “for he lumps the Sabbath together with food laws, festivals like Passover, and new moons. All of these constitute shadows that anticipate the coming of Christ” (40 Questions About Christians and Biblical Law, 212). And since Christ has now come, observing the Sabbath is no longer a matter of obedience or disobedience. Rather, Paul says, “Let no one pass judgment on you.”
The author of Hebrews brings us closer to the heart of why the new covenant does not require a literal seventh-day rest. Christ’s first coming did not abolish rest; rather, it ushered in a deeper kind of rest than the Sabbath could ever offer.
According to Hebrews 4, Israel’s Sabbath day always pointed forward to a far greater day: the still-future day when all creation will enter fully into the rest foreshadowed and promised in Genesis 2:2-3, the very first seventh day. “So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God” (Hebrews 4:9). The ultimate Sabbath rest is coming, when God’s people will enjoy work without toil, hearts without sin, and an earth without thorns.
Yet even now, Hebrews implies, we feel the first waves of the coming rest. In Christ, we “have [already] tasted . . . the powers of the age to come” (Hebrews 6:5), rest included. For, the author writes, “We who have believed enter that rest” (Hebrews 4:3) - not “will enter,” but “enter”: fully later, truly now.

    ...
    Sabbath teachers -
I Timothy 1:7 - ”They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.”
The Sabbath has its roots in the garden. “God blessed it and sanctified it” - but he does not command it until later as a part of the relationship and covenant that he has with the children of Israel through the Mosaic Law.
This institution is important to God because it is an earthly representation of the relationship that the church will have with Jesus; he is our sabbath; he is our rest from the works of the law.
The verses in Exodus that command the Sabbath are to the Israelites and not to the whole world. God did not deliver the gentiles from Egypt. He did not bring them to Mount Sinai. He did not establish a covenant with the gentiles.
It does include foreigners living in their cities. This is to prevent the Israelites from getting their work done on an extra day through foreigners and slaves - but more importantly that these foreigners and slaves should also rest. To reiterate: this is not a command for the whole world. It is included with the mosaic covenant with the children of Israel.
There exists only two commandments for the bride of Christ. But first, let’s make a distinction between the church and the children of Israel.
The Abrahamic covenant is different from the covenant made with the children of Israel. Abraham’s covenant is a promise of a son - specifically Isaac, and that all the people’s of the world would be blessed through Abraham - ie The Messianic promise.
The Old Testament Covenant (mosaic law) is separate and different from the Abrahamic Covenant which is fulfilled in Christ and is available to Jew and gentile alike.
The prophet Jeremiah records that the covenants will change:
    Jeremiah 31: 31-33
    31
“The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will make a new covenant
    with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
    32
It will not be like the covenant
    I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
    because they broke my covenant,
    though I was a husband to[a] them,[b]”
    declares the Lord.
    33
“This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
Verse 31 is clear that a new covenant is coming and that it replaces the old covenant
Verse 32 contrasts it with the Old Covenant. “it will not be like...” the one made with the children of Israel via Moses.
Verse 33 explains the difference. This new law will be in their hearts and minds; it is not a to-do list of laws which carry the penalty of death. Circumcision of the penis was a sign of the old covenant. The new covenant requires being born again by the Holy Spirit. This is referred to as a circumcision of the heart. Romans 2:29
Gentile believers were never under mosaic law and because of the new covenant we are are not under the law (Romans 6:4) - which always brings death. We are under grace.
When contrasted with the commands of Jesus recorded in the New Covenant we can clearly see why that is so; we are taught that his commandment is not burdensome.
    John 13: 34
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another”
This is the clearest understanding of the New Covenant that replaces the Old Covenant. It is a covenant that is to be in our hearts, because He dwells in our hearts.
    2 John V5-6
5 And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. 6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
To love Jesus is to obey him. To obey him is to love each other.
    I John 3: 23
23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.
We are His church and we are not under the Mosaic law - but under grace. This is clear in Jeremiah’s prophecy because he uses the phrase “Not like the covenant I made...”
It is vastly different. It is for this very reason that we have two separate portions of the Bible: the Old Testament which documents the history of the Jewish people, the Abrahamic promise, the mosaic covenant, the mosaic laws, and the prophets.
In contrast to the New Testament which documents the fulfillment of messianic prophecies, the teachings of Jesus, history of the early church, our clear and only commandment of Love (which isn’t burdensome), and further prophecies regarding end times.
Because we are the church we have no right to teach, force, or require any believer to obey Mosaic law. This includes circumcision, which Paul clearly opposed as part of the New Covenant, and it includes the sabbath.
We are to encourage New Covenant law - that of love - which is superior in all ways to the Mosaic law.
I firmly believe in the importance of the sabbath in the OT - but only because It demonstrates God’s attitude towards us and our rest that we have in Christ. I am convinced that the sabbath has been fulfilled; it has not been replaced by Sunday, or any other day of the week - but fulfilled by faith in Christ himself.
Many have made “keeping the sabbath” a condition of salvation by believing that if someone does not keep the sabbath then they are part of the Whore of Babylon and will suffer punishment. That is a form of legalism. Additionally, sabbath keeping is a subtle form of pride: “I keep the sabbath, God is pleased with me [but not with you.]”
God is pleased with us only because Christ is in us and for no other reason. We were created for good works which is evidence of our genuine faith - and those works are expressed through love for one another, our neighbors, and our enemies.
The true believer does not go to church. He (or she) is the church. We pray without ceasing. We sing to each other in Psalms, Hymns, and spiritual songs. We love our brothers and sisters, our neighbors and enemies. We make amends for our sins, we seek Christ in all things, and rest in him continuously.
So then, does this mean that we are exempt from keeping the 10 commandments? YES, but only because we keep them from the heart: Matthew 22:37
    1) Love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, Love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
    2) Do not falsely imagine God to be anything but who he actually is.
    3) We bear the name of Christ (a wife takes her husband’s name) do not live like you are married to the world.
    4) Christ is our rest; do not try to justify ourselves by keeping the law.
    5) We must honor all lawful authority.
    6) We must love our enemies and give them food and clothes.
    7) We must not lust after another, which is adultery.
    8) We must work to supply our owns needs and those of others.
    9) We must speak the truth in love, because Christ is the truth.
    10) We must be content with what we have because he has said, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” We are coheirs with Christ.
The true church keeps the sabbath every day because we are in church every day..
The Saturday sabbath is not for the bride of Christ.
Christ is the Lord of the sabbath. He is the Lord of our rest.

By fulfilling the law he also closed to OT mosaic law and ushered in the new covenant of his blood.

John 5:17 Neither God, nor Christ are SUBJECT TO the sabbath. Right? Who will accuse us, if we imitate Christ? (only men I suppose)

I like Paul now follow THE LAWS OF CHRIST but when we talk to JEWS we will act like Jews. To you that are Jews I'm glad Jesus taught you how to fullfil the laws God gave to Israel and Israel promised to keep (old covenant). Yes as a practicing Jew you too should keep the Sabbath as Jews where trained by Jesus while fulfilling the old covenant promise. But if you are like Paul and I you may want to consider the new and more glorious covenant (the New Covenant) rather than the ministry of DEATH.
Brothers and Sisters make your bodies the temple of the Lord and God's spirit will remain in you. Make worshiping God a lifestyle not a day or a hour of the week.
The Pharisees proved that Jews will never be save by becoming more and more Jewish so why would Christians that have life want to walk backwards towards death. Please study Paul without the attachment of any preconceived religious ideas.

The command about observing the Sabbath was leveled against the houses of Israel and Judah, not Gentiles.
[Exo 31:16] Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, [for] a perpetual covenant.
See that? It was the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL who were to keep the Sabbath. Nowhere in the contexts of the Sabbath verses was that binding upon any of the Gentile nations, only Israel. Also, the ten commandments were replaced BECAUSE they were collectively a MINISTRATYION OF DEATH:
[Jer 31:31-32] 31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day [that] I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
[Jer 31:33] But this [shall be] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Do you see that? As you can see in verse 33 above, even the Jews will be under a new Covenant after the coming of Christ Jesus. Who are you going to believe, this guy, or Paul?
[2 Cor. 3:7-11] 7 But if the ministration of death, written [and] engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which [glory] was to be done away: 8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? 9 For if the ministration of condemnation [be] glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. 10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. 11 For if that which is done away [was] glorious, much more that which remaineth [is] glorious
The "ministration of death" is a direct reference to all the ten commandments, and therefore must also include the fourth commandment concerning the Sabbath, the very proof text this guy uses. This guy doesn't know the scriptures, and neither do you if you believe he's telling the truth.
Additionally, please don't think that with the passing of the letter, none of it is still relevant for today. That is an argument from silence. Jesus gave to us a massive HINT! HINT! when He pointed out the first two of those ten. Remember that? Those two being written into the heart in language vastly superior to the mere letters on stone tablets is of a glory energized by the very Spirit of God. Conversely, letterists want to hug those stone tablets to themselves, and all they do by their weight is sink you down beneath the waves only to drown and die with those letters held to your bosom. The letters engraved in stone cannot keep one afloat and breathing and alive in the Spirit.

_'The command about observing the Sabbath was leveled against the houses of Israel and Judah, not Gentiles.'_ - incorrect.
The Holy Sabbath was established at Creation - Genesis 2:2-3 - and this was 2k years before there were any Jews.
see John 14:15 - we either keep all Ten or we simply don't love Jesus Christ, my friend.

@@tony1685 If we look at the texts you referenced for what they say and what they DON'T say, things become clear. The seventh day, as spoken of in Genesis, is indeed translated as "sanctified," and yet not one dictionary for Hebrew says that the meaning of that word leads to an understanding of perpetual binding for observance upon all mankind. It is men who have taken key words in the Bible and developed his own demands and meaning surrounding them. Please show me where "sanctified" translates into a requirement for observation binding upon ALL men. I can show you the verse where the Lord said that it's binding upon Israel. The rest of mankind is mentioned nowhere. I can also show to you where Israel violated that covenant in many places. What does violation of covenants do? Have you ever given that any thought?
You also do err about John 14:15. Jesus was speaking to a people who were still under the covenant of Law at that time. Again, read it for what it says, and what it DOES NOT say. Romans 2:15 speaks of God writing the works of the Law in our hearts. Why? Because the "...letter killeth..." 2 Cor. 3:6. Works of the law is a matter of the desire for DOING the law more profoundly real. You can stick to the letters written on paper, and I will follow the leading of the Spirit of God. Is that acceptable to you?
Hey, if you want to observe sabbath keeping by whatever definition you have subjectively chosen for yourself, then go for it. Trying to take away from others their freedom to serve the Lord in accordance what that same Lord has written into their hearts, you're treading on dangerous ground that does not honor the Lord's headship over His Church. I'm not one of those spoken of in Exodus 31:16, and I doubt you are either. No earthly, presumed teaching authority has the power to overcome what the Lord has written into our hearts. 1 John 2:27. If you think your teachings are more authoritative than what is given to us by that Anointing Who dwells within us, then it would be mildly interesting to see your credentials in that arena. Apart from that, your words are just clanging cymbals and tinkling chimes of noise. I respect your right to speak them as long as you respect our right to reject them on the basis of what scripture actually says, ignoring all the white space around the letters and what others try to write into those spaces that are not in my Bible.

@@musicinspire1745 paragraph 1 - _'...not one dictionary for Hebrew says that the meaning of that word leads to an understanding of perpetual binding for observance upon all mankind.'_ - you are looking in the wrong place.
Isaiah 56:6 - _'....Everyone (mankind) who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And holds fast My covenant...'_
Exodus 31:13-16 speaks of the Sabbath and defines It as a _'perpetual covenant'_ (vv :16).
i believe you don't see the Holy Command in the proper light my friend.
if you love Jesus, you'd have no problem keeping His Holy Command (John 14:15), if you know God and walk in Truth , you'd keep the 7th day Sabbath as well (1 John 2:3-4) and if you know that It's a 'Delight' (Isaiah 58:13), you will enjoy doing just this!
2nd paragraph - you quote Paul, a man who not only kept the Sabbath always (Acts 17:2), but who also taught all Ten Commandments are for all Christians (1 Cor 7:19, 1 Cor 11:1, Rom 6:1,2,15, etc, etc) - showing us you're walking in 2 Peter 3:15-16.
3rd paragraph - _'Hey, if you want to observe sabbath keeping by whatever definition you have....'_ - *Strawman Logical Fallacy*
as It isn't defined by me, but by what the Word of God shows us clearly.
_'Trying to take away from others their freedom.....'_ - Paul says the law of Liberty (freedom) is the Ten - see Romans 14:1-2
then read Psalm 119, where His Commands are defined as Liberty (freedom).
_'...you're treading on dangerous ground that does not honor the Lord's headship over His Church.'_ - if they aren't keeping His 7th day Sabbath, my friend, it's obviously *Not* His church - but a sad counterfeit - open your Bible and understand the difference.
to put it simply my friend - a system or people who don't keep This as well as the other 9:
      *1)* - don't know God - 1 John 2:3
      *2)* - don't love Jesus Christ - John 14:15
      *3)* - don't know Truth, but are Liars - 1 John 2:4
      your final sentence addressed:
_'I respect your right to speak them as long as you respect our right to reject them on the basis of what scripture actually says, ignoring all the white space around the letters and what others try to write into those spaces that are not in my Bible.'_
perhaps you should get a Christian Bible and not a counterfeit 'dooy rhames' - i threw mine away and suggest the same because you've just been shown directly what the Word of our Creator and our Saviour clearly teaches for all Christianity.
but it's your right to ignore such - just know you're following a bunch of Bible illiterates - this is what keeps catholicism thriving.

MusicInspire You know what I wonder? If the law is truly a minister of death the way you believe Paul meant it, then why does Psalm 119 extol how wonderful God’s laws and statutes are? Why does Psalm 94 tell us that the man who God instructs and teaches out of his law is blessed? And why does Jesus say if you love me keep my commandments? And why does John say that his commandments are not burdensome? And why does it say in the last book, Revelation 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints, here are those who KEEP the commandments of God AND the FAITH of Jesus.”?
You say, are we going to believe this guy or Paul?, since Paul said the law was death....Well, who are YOU going to believe?...Jesus or Paul? ........Or should we even say, Paul or the prophets? God inspired those prophets telling us how wonderful God’s laws are. Perhaps something has been lost in translation with Paul’s writings, or, he was just bringing confusion and maybe, just maybe that light he saw on the road to Damascus was someone else and not Jesus after all. IDK..... I think we would all be wise to follow Jesus’s lead......And yeah, I know...Paul’s writings are supposed to be inspired by God as well, but God is NOT the author of confusion and man decided what was to be placed in the canon...Look up a guy named Marcion who loved Paul’s writings but said the God of the Old Testament was awful. He was instrumental in compiling Paul’s writings.

Satan and his society have made observing the Sabbath more challenging, but our loving God created the Sabbath to be a blessing. Those who have proven to themselves that the 10 Commandments are still relevant today are to remember and obey His beneficial laws. God’s desire is for all to repent and be saved (1 Timothy 2:4; 2 Peter 3:9).
