Since Bungie turned 30 this year it has been, which is really cool to see!
The shotgun from Marathon is in Destiny now and is rather strong, and the Marathon protagonist’s getup as well as two others based on enemies are armor skins
Destiny 2 vanilla did a lot of things wrong, but adding the location Titan-an oceanic moon likely inspired by the watery first act of Durandal-was not one
Titan’s sadly no longer in Destiny 2 for the time being-it was very underutilized, and players weren’t visiting it much-but I would love to see it make a grand return, with some new Marathon references/inspirations, seafloor explorable areas, and dynamic weather that effects the rise and fall of tides
A fully-realized Titan could feel like a glimpse at what a modern Marathon would look like!

the marathon trilogy has always been my fav games of all time ever since i first seen it when i was like 2. still play the shit outta it and try to get my friends to play. to see it here at GDQ brings a huge smile to my face, wish i coulda seen live and have donated but alas i could not... see you star side!

I really grew to enjoy some of the super dry humor (i.e. 16:38). Cool stuff, since I've heard about this series for years and have never seen one played to completion.

Wow, don't think I ever played a version where you didn't have to fire while moving backwards to get the boost. Also, still probably my favorite shotguns in any game ever.

I completely forgot Marathon 2 got a Xbox 360 port. And it's backwards compatible with Xbox One/Series. And it's on sale for $4.99. Sold! I need to go back and play the whole series.

This made me realize how far I actually got in the game not far at all
You could call this a marathon run in a marathon setting.
God I love this game, but I've yet to complete it purely for the fact every time I've got to play it over the years I can't do it for long as it gives me chronic nausea.
