  • This Ju88 kit is a combination of Revell's Ju88A-1 and A-4 kits, bringing about the Ju88A-5 subtype. The kit is good with nice engraved detail, but some of the joins require filling in order to bring them up to standard. The engines, propellor and spinners as well as the early-style finr and rudder arrangement are all taken from the A-1 kit, with the extended wingtips and ailerons, along with the rear-facing MGs at the back of the canopy, are from the A-4 kit.
The model is finished in a colour scheme used in the north African campaign, and is based on a photograph of an abandoned fuselage, minus tail, wings, engines and rear-upper canopy. It is classified as an A-5 but other sources suggest it was possibly an A-4.
The national markings and stencilling are from the kit, and code characters and unit emblem and other items are from the spares box. The bomb load is comprised from bombs taken from the elderly but venerated Fujimi 1/72 scale Bf110 of yesteryear.
I hope you like the end result, and thanks for taking time to look in... ;-).

Very nice Decale work, especially the cross on the under wing with all those step ridges.

I built one of these when I was about 12.
I never did find the right horizontal stabalizer
Had to make it out of cardboard !🇦🇺👍
