    Kudos to you for the proper pronunciation of Junkers. Here in South Africa 🇿🇦 in the 1990's, we weekly had one of these flying over our home, which incidentally was built on a WWII Spitfire pilot training runway. Sometimes, also a DC3 Dakota radial flew over. Once, the RAF Red Arrows and they wiggled their wings at our house! That was in the late 1990's.

Two suggestions: I usually paint and decal the instrument panel before assembling it. It makes things a bit easier. Fabulous as always ❤. You are quickly becoming my favorite hobby channel, I learn so much and I've been modeling for nearly 50 years. Thank you. I'm surprised you didn't paint the iron crosses. Now you must do the era related monogram PBY catalina!

    I have finished the painting and all masks for the camo turned out perfect...If I can ask two questions? What kind of wash can I use after using the Mr color GX 100... OIL OR ACRYLIC? and there is two engine cowlings with the exhaust pipes attached (part # 18 and 19) ..are they there in case you dont use the exhausts with the kit?? It does not say anything in the instructions about those cowlings?? Where did you get the nice round display stand?

    • @ModellingWeekly
      @ModellingWeekly  ปีที่แล้ว

      Once the gx 100 is fully cured, you can use any kind of wash you like! Not sure about the engine cowlings, probably there for another boxing or variant but I'm not sure. In terms of the display stand, it's just a massive circular mirror that I balanced on top of my turntable

      Thanks...I photo copied the planes for the camo instructions on the back pages at 240 on my photo copier...lol ,then cut the designs out and then traced them onto tamayas masking tape which I taped to my large piece of glass then cut out the masks using my sharp modeling knife then sticking them on the plane then airbrushing...haha insane amount of work but I dont have steady hands and a small enough neddle to do it free hand...all in all it turned out excelent...Thanks again 😊@@ModellingWeekly

    Using Mr Surfacer 1500 black under the silver can help the lustre of the metallic colour considerably.

    Did the paints come with the kit?
    Or did you buy your own?

    Is the main paint that you used on the body of the plane with the airbrush acrylic or oil . If it's acrylic will the oil plus white sprit mix for highlights not remove the acrylic.

    • @ModellingWeekly
      @ModellingWeekly  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@mickwhelan28 the main paint was an acrylic lacquer, and then a lacquer varnish was used to protect the paint before the oil highlights :)
