Great video, would you ever be willing to share how to wire this beast? The construction is great and fairly straight forward, but when it comes to electronics I am lost. I would even like to make one similar with manual controls

Nicely Done again, you can toss the silcone gausket. Those Tri-clamps seal nicely without them since it's at low pressure. The adhesive on the tape is Acrylic adhesive, rated to around 400F .

Good idea,to stay with roasting manually!

Like it! I'm currently planning a home roaster DIY project and would be interested in the dimensions of your cyclone chaff collector. These seem tricky to get right, and if you have a working geometry sharing it it would probably save a lot of trial and error. Thanks!

Amazing build! Do you have any diagrams you can share on how exactly you mounted the heating element? And I'm assuming you need 220V outlet?

Alex I do absolutely love this. I've shown it many times to my non-roaster friends and they agree it's pretty cool. I aspire to do something like this some day. The one area that I would appreciate more on -- the heating element. What did you choose and how did you integrate it into the roaster?

The heater element is a 3400W plastic welding element from AliExpress. It is cycled by an solid state relay and it is controlled by the roast logger software.

I would love to try to recreate this project, would you mind sharing a electronic build list and our Arduino script?

Alex - Do you have a detailed parts and instruction list that you can share? Also, have you sold your roasters at all? Really great design!

Is the roast logger software open source? Is it already native to arduino? Pretty sweet setup, just curious about the jardware/software integration here

Would it be possible to use the maximum fan speed to push beans to the chaff collection jar after roasting? Remove chaff jar and place another jar for roasted beans?

Hi Alex!Sorry for that I am not American, and my English is not very good. I would like to ask you some questions about the black blower. I would like to ask where I can buy it. Or can I exchange contact information with you? Thank you very much🙂

In another video he said it was off an old hot tub.

It's a Pyrex bake-a-round dish. He spoke about this in a previous video.
      Hope this helps!
