I know of a couple that have arranged to pay 1000 bucks for a similar truck( one that is beyond repair)to sit at the entrance of their acreage. So keep that in mind when valuing your stuff. Keep up the great work!
I was glad to hear the music director came back even if it was for a short while. I guarantee that if you painted the entire truck one color, maybe that green, several people would stop and ask if it's for sale. Who knows?
Oddly satisfying. Five to three window conversions will be the next big thing right after Mustang fastback to coupe conversions take off. The ice pick and bondo method was used as a way to shrink up some stretched metal, eliminate oil canning, & provide a grip for the bondo which was purported to be space age material that was going the last pretty much forever. In the dry desert, we were fond of leaving the slide hammer holes in the metal because that purportedly gave a nice grip for the Bondo. In Canada, that would probably rust up in about 2 weeks. There was a technique of splooging it through the holes and then lifting to provide some suck-tion to allegedly mushroom out the (actual Bondo-brand) Bondo on the unseen, inaccessible backside to anchor it all firmly. I'm going to laugh my ass off if 50 years from now a future Kyle protege on his SpaceTube channel visits Earth and begins to restore that particular cab commenting on the work done on it.
I always loved seeing old cars and trucks sitting around in yards and pastures too, regardless of their condition 👍 best to you Kyle, enjoy your content and love your channel
For yard art this was like putting everything into it. Most people just throw a dead car on a pedestal. This one is art of it's own, nothing let to waste.
I use skateboards for moving heavy objects around the shop; a single well balanced 1982 Vision board carried my entire traditional English style workbench - roughly 400lbs.
I thoroughly enjoyed that. Playing with unfixable stuff is fun! I had a '59 Beetle that was so rotten some old hemp rope was tied around the roof to hold the remains of the floors in. Popped in a borrowed engine from a friend, and wired it up just enough to run. Trailered it to a big VW show and drove the pile onto the show field and parked up in a line of gleaming show cars. The derelict radio still functioned and left it on just for fun. Was easily the most photographed car in the show that year!
Everybody knows the rules!....When Kyle says there is nothing there and completely unusable parts and it's a lawn ornament....and it's not a good situation....use bondo and weld the doors and panels back on. Great theme music with this video, too. Lol!
Can't understand how the fenders got scratched when you were really careful installing the hood. I really appreciate the skill you alway's apply when putting parts back together. I can't count the times I have applied your skills in building my own cars. Make sure you give the KITTIES a big hug for me.
Haven't laughed so much since my wife left me and took everything I once held dear, but that act allowed me to boss the situation and empowered me to strategically think my way out of it...yep, still have nothing. Quality, sheer quality. Thank You.
Perfect. Craigs List, ran when parked. I thought this video was fun. I don't really care what anyone else thinks. I have a girl friend that does metal sculpture and she stops by and looks through my piles and shop. She makes really cool stuff out of the junk I give her. I have to keep an eye on her though so she doesn't take an armload of camshafts because they look cool. The hounds are sleeping so we will have to watch this again. Thank you for your time.
I've always considered you an artist and now you have actually made an artistic statement out of non-salvageable scrap. This will eventually be a sought after piece for some art collection!
I enjoyed this video. Kept me laughing. Love your Cat's. I am looking forward to your next video. As always liked and shared. All my best. Oh and I am subscribed to Coldwar motors. Have been for a long time now.
I think this video is your best. I first saw you on CWM picking up the truck & have since watched all of your videos. You are really funny and the way you make fun of us car guys/gals addiction to old rusted junk is spot on. Thank you for what you do and please keep up the good work !
I thought there is NOONE on this planet (except me) crazy enough to do a thing like that. About ten years ago we pulled a 1952 Austin A30 out of a junkyard where it had been sitting for about fifty years. Actually the lower half of the body was worse than this one. I cut the rear half off, (it was a sedan and not a station as in the movie), constructed some solid steel tube supports in order to prevent it from falling apart. I used steel, aluminium, some bondo and wood to make the front and the rest until the b pillar look like a car again. then I painted it with the color of the "Wallace ad Grommit" car. There were so many hours involved and the car looked amazingly good. I put in a battery under the hood and some bulbs in the headlights and put some moving sensors under the front bumper. People were amazed that when they came close to my front door the headlights were lighting up. After a few years in the rain the vehicle was detoriating more and more. While most of the metal held up amazingly well, the wooden rocker panels desolved to nearly not existing and the paint started flaking off. If I ever have the energy I will fix it up a bit to last a few years more. My autistic Son loves this car as he is a fan of the Aardman Studio films. Loved your aproach and the result as well.
I worked for a dairy farmer that had a Lil Red Express for a farm truck. I loved that thing. But now I have a 79 GMC Stepside minus the stacks. Great work Son.
Bondo dust tip: The heavier you breath the faster the air in the shop clears. Good stuff, I was expecting a Tremclad colour though...lol Ready for SEMA,
I think that makes very nice yard art. Strategic use of shrubbery and flowers would make that a great focal point in your landscape. You could even add a water fountain and bird feeders for wildlife entertainment for the cats. Some cheap solar lights and you're good to go. I use old sinks and enameled bedpans (flower potties). Thanks for sharing the fun. Cheers!
It’s hard to watch someone as talented as you are wasting your time on this project. We are all different and I know you were just having fun, thanks for sharing!!!!
When I trained, my Instructor was an Old English man, who worked for Rolls Royce... He taught us to use the Pick on our hammers, and a Slap File... It was the "Old Way" of doing things... 🤣🤣🤣
That's smart , what you did. To fix that, would mean you could make whole cabs from scratch. I would roller paint it one color , something a little bit bright and put some signage on it. (on the doors) It could be a cool billboard.
KYLE, you have created the perfect center piece for the new craze of a "Water Works" feature using an old pickup. I thought that was going to be the surprise ending. I don't know about in Saskatchewan, but down South, it is a going thing. But, we Southerners do have a tendency to get a little crazy from time to time. One pickup has about an 18-inch wide flow of water cascading out of the rear window into the bed and running along the bed and water-falling again into a pond to be recycled. It is eye-catching for sure.
Hi kyle finnally some quality repairs on the most outrages channel on yt i dont know what the world is coming too 😂😂😂 . Looking forward to the new project an the normal horrible work . Cheers mate🇦🇺
Put the finished project in someones basketball court for kids to ride on or play with... great use of pieces and parts... better than seeing someone take nice rigs that get high scrap prices right now, cutting off the front for wall art and trunks for couches. One very bad thing happened on the twenty ninth of april this year... Brent, from halfass kustoms shop burnt to the ground taking a good many of his memories along with the 35 dodge project and turned all into molten metal mess. He might come out swinging hard to replace some of it but the hurt will remain for the rest of his life. Thankfully no one was hurt. I hope that you, Scott, Strongs garage, along with Karl from make it kustom all pull to help him recover it some
Have you ever considered using "Flight of the Bumble Bee" for the high speed clips? The repaired Chevy cab would make an excellent winter beater. Every winter, it would beat you from having transportation.
Not a no hitter on this. I noticed the runs driven in.. And MEOWser.. The rattle can paint identifies as the correct original factory color, no doubt... I really like the green paint work, same as the color used on the 1958 Vespa basket cast I reassembled, painted and rode to work for my summer 1963 job..
it still looks better than a lot of "rat rods" i've seen
Haha the "before" looked better than most rat rods I've seen
That was fun.
Edgar, Allan, Poe and Daisy. Hilarious.
I know of a couple that have arranged to pay 1000 bucks for a similar truck( one that is beyond repair)to sit at the
entrance of their acreage. So keep that in mind when valuing
your stuff. Keep up the great work!
I got the runs just watching you spray paint.
no apologies needed! Dude, you just polished a turd into a diamond. You're a magician
I was glad to hear the music director came back even if it was for a short while. I guarantee that if you painted the entire truck one color, maybe that green, several people would stop and ask if it's for sale. Who knows?
Can’t wait to see it cross the block at Barrett Jackson for 200 k
It's sad that the bodywork you completed on this video is still 10 times better than what I could muster on my best day.
Don't sell yourself short haha
Oddly satisfying. Five to three window conversions will be the next big thing right after Mustang fastback to coupe conversions take off.

Thanks for the bondo hack explanation! I hope I can live long enough to witness the marvels of SpaceTube
Ive seen the stuff you fix, so when you say something isn't repairable, I'm on board. Going to make a sweet yard art piece though!
Yeah it's going to be the pride of the neighborhood!
I would be proud to have that masterpiece in my front yard with majestic gum tree sprouting from the engine bay..
I always loved seeing old cars and trucks sitting around in yards and pastures too, regardless of their condition 👍 best to you Kyle, enjoy your content and love your channel

I cried when you painted over the cinnamon.
I liked the cinnamon as well.
Sometimes it's okay to cry
@@CarterAutoRestyling 🤣🤣🤣

I can’t believe someone would watch then dislike the video. Especially when we got to meet Edgar and Daisy.
I thoroughly enjoyed that. Playing with unfixable stuff is fun! I had a '59 Beetle that was so rotten some old hemp rope was tied around the roof to hold the remains of the floors in. Haha that's awesome!
Damn ! you went full Chad...never go full Chad.
Back it up to the fence and plant flowers around it ! Looks great !🌻🌼🌷🪻🪴
Everybody knows the rules!....When Kyle says there is nothing there and completely unusable parts and it's a lawn ornament....and it's not a good situation....use bondo and weld the doors and panels back on. Great theme music with this video, too. Lol!
There's 30 minutes of my life I won't get back but I sat and watched mesmerised what does that say about me
Brings a whole new meaning to the shortbed version
Beethoven a nice music and a fun video 😊
Excellent adventure. All that's left to do is a flat bed mock-up with a cardboard rendering of you in Elvis costume on stage
Another video showcasing the triumph of the human spirit! You made literal trash into something cool. Are you going to put together a bed for it too?
If I can find enough bits I'll do a bed someday!
Can't think of a more productive use of time! Another great posting. Thanks
THAT turned out pretty nice for simply throwing it together (with a bit of mud, random rattle cans, welding zaps)...
Every TV series has one of these interstitial episodes. Often shot in classic b&w flashback . Glad to see you aren't afraid to experiment.
Now that was fun😮
Looking forward to some more fun😉👍

Even when you do a hack job, it's still pretty good, At least you can still tell what it was.
I can't catch my breath Kyle 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂, Thanks for the awesome comedy!!!!
Glad you got a laugh!
I had a blast watching this. I was sure the spray foam adhesive was going to come out at some point. Do your best and Bondo the rest
Haha words to live by!
Most valuable show on TH-cam 😊
I think it would make a great mailbox or a guest room for those late minute guests.
Haha great idea!
She's mint !

You had me at hoarder of irreparable garbage. Liked and subscribed.
This guy gets it.
Haha thanks!
I've always considered you an artist and now you have actually made an artistic statement out of non-salvageable scrap. This will eventually be a sought after piece for some art collection!
Headlights would make it look nice! I think it needs your channel name on the door though
Red Headlights
Haha I don't think I want to do that kind of advertising!
Very entertaining. I think I would watch just for the sarcasm alone.
I see better trucks dragged from the scrub on other YT channels ,so you did the right thing ,we need more art in our lives!
I enjoyed this video. Kept me laughing. Love your Cat's. I am looking forward to your next video. As always liked and shared. All my best. Oh and I am subscribed to Coldwar motors. Have been for a long time now.
My neighbors are super jealous of me.👍
Whew.. for a minute I thought I was watching Bad Chad...
😂👍
😂😂😂
Roflmao 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
And the really sad thing is, your worst still looks better than my best.
I really like your dry sense of humor, and yes this is not your normal repair but I still enjoyed watching...added my subscription...Dave/WBA
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching Dave!
I very much enjoyed this episode. I like yard art 🎨.
Nice ! Another video from mr Carter ! Conveniently uploaded just as I was done slapping some bondo on my land cruiser project 🎉
Haha nice!
Thanky you! Another great video.
Kyle,
I just look at it as more practice in you craft! Another enjoyable video.
Thanks for posting.
Nice fun work. Glad you kept it around and found a purpose for it.
you are doing museum quality resto there. priceless yard art ,yeah priceless
I think this video is your best. I first saw you on CWM picking up the truck & have since watched all of your videos. You are really funny and the way you make fun of us car guys/gals addiction to old rusted junk is spot on. Thank you for what you do and please keep up the good work !
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoy!
I applaud your choice of music to accompany the beautiful pointlessness of your stickum job on the Jimmy. 'Fur Elvis' is one of my favourites.
Cab needs the CWM logo on it somewhere
I believe there's a copyright on that
Yeah possibly.. I was thinking you could bill for advertising and recoup some of the dinero you paid for that rust bucket

That's awesome! You probably would have appreciated the rusted Model T that I gave a similar treatment to prior to youtube
Interesting- Yes?, Informative - Not really, Entertaining - YESSSS!!! That was awesome. Thanks for the video Kyle.
Haha thanks for watching!
Still some great content! Here's a few bucks to spend on a rattle can
Thanks so much for increasing the rattle can budget!!!
Take it to a swap meet and someone will buy it for their dream project.
Chevy makes good yard art.
I worked for a dairy farmer that had a Lil Red Express for a farm truck. I loved that thing. But now I have a 79 GMC Stepside minus the stacks. Great work Son.
Yeah they are awesome trucks, although I've got a soft spot for the squarebody stepsides, used to have a 75
Bondo dust tip: The heavier you breath the faster the air in the shop clears. Good stuff, I was expecting a Tremclad colour though...lol Ready for SEMA,
Yard art holds good value too, and you did a really nice job of creating that. Well done!

Oh wow, sounds like I'll need to start a second channel called Carter's Landscape Restyling
Excellent piece of yarn art Kyle I would love to see that just sitting in the yard

Looks pretty good all things considered!
i like the paint runs, they look factory!
Have you ever considered using "Flight of the Bumble Bee" for the high speed clips? The repaired Chevy cab would make an excellent winter beater. Every winter, it would beat you from having transportation.
Man that's had more joints than bob marley
The return of the Red Ram Hood!
Now you got a place for your chickens ... I found the video quite enjoyable ... the cats steal the show ...
Don't worry. It will look as good as new after the first deep snow hits in a couple of weeks.
Good idea
Now that’s what I call “restyling”
Thank you so much for this video, it gave me the confidence to start a new career flipping cars.
Excellent news!
I still enjoy seeing it, a couple of clamp on style shop lights will make great fake headlights and you can use them for outdoor lighting for the yard
I am glad you are being yourself. Thank you.
Hilarious! 😂 I learned a lot.
Not a no hitter on this. I noticed the runs driven in.. And MEOWser.. The rattle can paint identifies as the correct original factory color, no doubt... 14:00 My special technique is to keep going and get them to run right off the edge.
Looks good from here.
It's one of those, "Why Not" things.
Still enjoyable and totally agree.good job man.
Ha! That was awesome. I learned a ton! (PS: People with yards full of old cars are scum...) Cheers buddy!
Thanks, I'm always trying to provide my viewers with high quality educational content.
I like being a disturbed person :)
Dude!!! Even your fun work!!! Looks hard!!! ✌️
Great video ....well done
Really enjoyed video, perhaps you can help me line out body lines, 62 Diamond Reo graft to 70 firebird. Lol
You will need bondo. Lots and lots of bondo
Yard art serves one purpose Kyle: Endearing oneself to your neighbors... Keep making yard art--the more you make the less grass there is to cut!😆
Excellent video. Bad Chad called and said hey thats my kind of work!! Glad to see the snow is gone finally. Two new cats??
Oh the cats belong to my sister. I was just visiting them
