Oh, what a beautiful vessel she be! as a fellow "Can't stand that we can't put triangle walls upsidedown" person! I found that stairs being converted into ramps do far better than sloped celings and you can put railings to cover at least some of the hollow space at the bow.
Thanks 😉 it's not possible to put stairs in place of slopped celings, in some places they destroy themselves when I remove the walls.

Btw, love the build. I'm thinking of hosting a private server soon for a handful of friends, and i think that a mini primitive boat war would be a very fun event for a couple of us - definitely gonna use some inspiration from this. Only problem is the fish attacking, but I'll fix that with wild only turrets scattered around an arena.
Me and come friends did this, using cannons and chain bola for the true piracy feel

So I built this boat on a 2x server over a year a go and I loved it. Entire server was going crazy about it. I was thinking about rebuilding it on an official server but I'm not sure if I'll be able to yet. I know it was hard before and I had to make several changes.

To make it a navy ship just make it metal and use dark blue dye. Also put some mounted things like ballista or rocket launchers and all of that

I built one in survival, official, not boosted server, but had trouble with a lot of the parts being obstructed and could finish the ramp bit on the bottom
@@joshuacaldwell5380 official servers are going to have that issue, in order to finish this build you need to have construction collision turned off - if your server settings will accommodate that, that should fix the issue!

Are you using a raft mod of some kind? That last ceiling at the nose can't be placed because it's too far from the platform. Do you have an INI setting in place to extend the structure placement from the platform?

I'll admit I did not set the large number you set (I used 1000 as I figured that would be plenty of additional distance from the platform) but it did not change anything. I still have the same issue.
I reset the parameter to 1000000 but did not have a chance to test it last night

well im trying to build this in mobile, but there are no triangle ceilings. any idea how i could compensate for that?

The only way to make it more resistant is to replace wood with metal but it will not be the same aesthetic level

I added in my block limit but I can’t get the front of the ship to work. I had to find a workaround to extend from the ship but it wasn’t by much, and it looks nothing like your design.

@@notimportant8532 perhaps lower some stone or metal foundations? A layer of underwater foundations or ceilings might help against that.

The best way to deal with the whales are to use a motorboat and auto turrets. The motorboat can out pace regular whales, but not the Alphas, that is where the auto turrets come in.
It doesn’t let me place the ceiling at 1:49 it says “Can’t Place Wood Ceiling: This Structure is too far away from the platform!” Any fixes?
Try putting the very first foundations a litlle more inside the raft.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I cannot build this ship at all from the very start of the video when he puts down foundations. I can't fit the foundations like he can

2:35 does the way the wood is facing matter as I'm struggling to make it face the correct way

10:20 I couldn't finish this bit and it was a pain in. The assthe foundation wouldn't connect to the right one so not being mean but the tutorial on how to build the boat was very bad I spent hours on that one bit please show how you make them connect to the right area

Looks great but unfortunately, I can't get it to work, even after modifying the files like you show in your other video. first issue is at 0:58 I can't get that foundation to go green no matter how many times I rebuild the whole thing in slightly different positions. I also can't get the side walls to go green on the sides of the foundations at the waterline.

@@YuTay I found the problem, had to check the 'disable structure placement collision' box in the host/local world rules, no problems building it now.

I know this was a year ago but when ever I’m on the part at like 1:45 in the video it will only let me go out by 2? It says it is to far away from the platform
And I’m on a server so if it’s a setting thing I won’t be able to fix it

Yeah sure depending on your settings it all comes down to your platform structure limit if your playing unofficial ask an admin if it's been increased if so crack on as video shows if not then you need to be mindful of how many pieces of anything you can put on to your raft say yours is 100 you will only being able to put 100 things on that raft from beds and storage boxes all the way to foundations and walls everything you place counts as 1 and you'll be suprised how much it takes. On vanilla settings I managed the entire structure and a bed and a lot less flags(sails) also missed off the catwalks at the end as you cant build that far away from your raft its trial and error unfortunately get the basic structure down then add till you cant add no more.
Oh also a motorboat has a bigger platform structure limit so I'd use that instead of a wooden raft. unless your on unofficial that's been increased then just crack on and enjoy the build.
