I have a 510 here in Arizona. Takes me back to my childhood. It was my first firearm.

I have the model 511...same gun w/ detachable magazine. Best .22 ever in my opinion. Yours is a beauty.

Just found a 510 Targetmaster, has some very light surface rust but no pitting and the Bore is bright and shiny. Stock was in great shape. Paid a whopping $99 for it. Shoots great. May have a Gunsmith Shop re-blue it if possible.

Many double barrel shotguns have an automatically engaging safety too

they're little tack drivers. there's enough meat at the receiver to have Weaver cut in for mounting a scope, sacrilege to some but I'll say go for it.
that long barrel will group *really* tight at 100 yards

    • @guaporeturns9472
      @guaporeturns9472 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Longer barrel won’t usually add accuracy when using a scope .. it’s the longer sight radius that makes longer barreled rifles easier to shoot accurately.

How did you tell how old it is? I can’t find date codes on mine

I have a similar remi but it has a fault when tightening the screw that joins the barrel with the wooden body, it stops firing, it housed it a bit and it works again. What do you think is the problem?

There's a date code on the receiver which is really easy to find on the internet and decode the year.
Thanks for checking out the video!

@@wind-solar yupyup, good visual inspection and by feel too with a couple of patches on the cleaning rod (after really cleaning).
is the rifling grabby? is the drag/tension consistent end to end?
if it looks and feels good like that you have a little gem.
1995 mine got turned (slow rev sanded in lathe), and re-blued.
not a big or difficult job, didn't pull receiver+barrel apart just drive out the front site and replace it after same way. do yourself or not expensive to have done being so simple. yours there looks to be in good shape like mine was/is, refinish the stock any stain color you like.
mine has the drilled+tapped side mount 3/4" scope ring setup, recently gave it a cheaper+new 3-7X 20mm scope is plenty nice on it. still need to really dial it in again at 65 yards with Blazers.

lots of shooting it and it becomes a reflex action after pointing down range.
yes it was annoying sometimes before being used to it like that.
