Bigger mats are needed...and more stalling calls for backing up. The rules are silly at this point. First takedown was mastery but no points because the guy rolled to turtle? I think the rules need to evolve a bit.
Jui jitsu rules and refereeing are complete ass. If rules were put in with similar rigour as wrestling - heavy on stall calls and going out of bounds it would be so much er better
Agreed about mats and stalling calls but Pixley didn't get the points there because he rolled for the back. If he had stayed in that referee position he would have probably scored the 2 and been reset because the takedown started in bounds and finished on the yellow. But being on the yellow and then rolling for the back that technique was never in bounds and went even further out.
first ankle pick was beautiful. reset was criminal
Snatched his soul
Pixley’s snap down to ankle pick is a criminal act.
Good shit for this guy not pulling guard. Went out like a G
So... bad at jiu jitsu? lol
Meregalli is studying this match hahaha
He should probably study one where Pixley loses lol
that ankle pick is nasty
purple belt? sandbagging much?
michael ankle pixley
How come Pixley is not getting points for the take down or back take at 1:24? Much appreciated!
Action occured out of bounds (yellow marker). Therefore Pixley received 3 advantages and no points.
because IBJJF is a garbage organization and anyone good doesnt respect it or its rules.
@@tylorjordon1642 stupid ibjjf rules
@@tylorjordon1642 Thank you so much for the clarification
IBJJF has the worst ruleset ever
Pixley what a beast
Why is he still at purple?
Technically he hasn’t been training jiujitsu that long I guess. He’ll probably be brown soon

No. Mats with slanted sides like in CJI is needed. Never ever again a reset.

I love how we all love BJJ and think IBJJF rules are too often complete trash. Overhaul needed fast.
Why is he only a purple belt, how vain can his instructor be.
