Lo competed too much in 2016 & 2017. But oftentimes your sponsors and friends demand / ask you to participate in certain comps so you do it. Lo said himself he did way too much in that period. What a match...a game of inches. Alongside Marcelo & Roger, these are my BJJ all-timers. Now, let's see the Hulks and Meregalis become legends.
I met both these guys at the pool in Ibiza Hard rock hotel , playa den bossa in 2016 and spoke to them ... they were both hitting on some hot chicks and succeeding lol
Anybody know why Leandro didn't take the Triangle at 2:17? Was his opponent baiting him? Was the pass too easy from a counter? I have no idea. Maybe it's something I'm not seeing.
He tried to take it at 2:49 but I think he couldn’t get it at 2:17 because of the knee pinning down his thigh and the elbow was blocking that entrance to the inside. Once he lifted the elbow that’s when Leandro went for it
Does anyone know why Lo know chooses to pull-guard so often? My understanding is he is one of the best guard-passers in the history of the sport, so why does he choose to play guard?
Against Buchecha, you risk getting taken down with a single or double leg if you play stand up for too long. He's definitely one of the best guard passers, also has great takedowns, but generally, when fighting someone you know is better at takedowns, you want to pull guard in the beginning of the match. Also, there's no way Buchecha is playing guard against anyone in a comp, and if you know you'll be playing bottom, then you might as well play bottom with a DLR guard or even closed guard, rather than get taken down and end up on the bottom anyway. OSS!
@@sethmarquez6076 It's not the coaches who are competing. Plus, it's unfair if someone doesn't have someone coaching them whilst the other person does.
L lol.... what? Have you ever competed in a one-on-one sport, before? Having the person who coached you through an entire camp be there for you in that moment is invaluable. Also, your point about the coaches not competing.... what does that have to do with anything at all? The athlete(the person competing) benefits greatly from having an outside perspective, that the athlete trusts. A pair of eyes not directly involved with whatever sport is going on is literally the reason corners are there. They give advice and encouragement... if the other participant doesn’t have a corner, that’s sort of tough luck. Be prepared.
@@sethmarquez6076 Of course I have, the reason why I'm saying this is because most of the time I compete, my coach cannot travel with me, and I end up fighting with no one to coach me. When a black belt instructor is coaching the person that's fighting me, it feels like it's an unfair advantage. You summarise my point yourself by saying "tough luck". It shouldn't be about luck, a one on one martial art fight should be about who's best. Not about who's able to drag their coaches to their matches.. Just my opinion, and obviously I don't mind competing without my coaches when my opponent has theirs alongside them.
Senti a mesma coisa, é linda a irmandade é rivalidade no tatame deles

Tá difícil acreditar e aceitar a partida precoce do Leandro. Lenda inesquecível!😭🖤
Jiu-jitsu de presença e respeito, representando!!

Duas Lendas do Jiu-jitsu 🥋🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Depois do Roger levar pra casa p braço do Jacaré e ele seguir segurando a faixa, minha segunda lembrança é o Buchecha dando o absoluto pro Lo......

Thanks, that makes perfect sense.
He once said that he preferred passing guard to playing on top but that he felt safer playing guard
Why Lo got a penalty ?
I think because him exit for fight place
Thanks for your answers guys 👍
Why did leandro scored 2 points at 9.15?

I love this stuff but coaching from the sidelines should be banned!
nah
