I've never done this before but other video's I've seen where folks use the resin, they use a blow dryer or heat gun and that really smoothes it out. Might be something to try with another puzzle to see if you can get away with just one coat. Great video!

Great video ! Also the link you provided for the Aluminite Resin says that the resin dries “white” so is this the correct resin or should I get the one that dries clear?
    Thanks !

Now that it’s been 5 years, can you tell me your experience with the resin yellowing and if you’ve found a way to prevent resin from yellowing? Thanks. -don from Lorain Ohio USA 🇺🇸

Definitely doing this with my mosaic starry night puzzle. How heavy do you think it is after two coats?

      I think it's 32oz a kit so 2 would be 64oz. 4lbs. It might be 16oz a kit I can't remember.

Heat is the secret to getting the air bubbles out so if you have a heat gun that is best if not you can use a straw and blow lightly and the heat from your breathe works I’ve been using epoxy for awhile and it works!!!!!

Dang, I really dig that puzzle. Did you ever do a second coat? How did the finished product turn out?

Haven't did the second coat yet. Still on my todo list. Working on a 24,000 piece puzzle now. 14 foot wide and 5 foot tall
