Thank you, I have noticed that with the lighter spring supplied with the kit. My final position of the valve spring adjustment screw is much further in than it’s stock position, 6.21mm. My factory setting with stock components was closer to 9.25. I have a 600 mm barrel, so I would think that your VS setting might be even a bit closer than my setting as you are running a shorter barrel. Thank you so much for talking time to read and reply to my comments. We truly appreciate your hard work.
Now do this experiment: Shoot some pellets over your chrono with your new Pin Probe installed, and then shoot some pellets over your chrono with the Huma Probe that came with your Huma Dual Port High Flow Kit. This will tell us if the Pin Probe makes any difference to your velocity or not. I suspect that it was just the washers you added to the hammer weight and the softer valve return spring that gave you the 60-65 ft./s increase in velocity.
doe's power kits come in .30 or .35 calibers i see that it comes in .22 cal with a .25 cal sleeve but have not seen it in .30 or .35. or sleeves to fit. great video's you provide.

Great video as usual. I’ve got a question for you. Which is the size of the hammer spring you’re using? Some have widely preferred to leave the FX Impact Mk1 and Mk2 OEM hammer spring (57mm) rather than using the one which comes with the Power Plenum kit which is shorter but harder. It looks like it was not possible to reach regulator pressures higher that 140bar when using this shorter spring. Now with the slug power kit which includes the two washers, it might help with some more compression to the spring. Again, what’s the one you’re using? Thank you very much in advance. 👍🏼
Hi , thx for the support 👍 . I have still the original spring in my impact as it came from the factory. Mine is a mkii compact with the power plenum standaard . So to answer short , It’s the original from the factory and I have never measured it
When installing the valve rod back and installing the head screw to 6 - 6.50mm, doesn't the power wheel setting influence the distance? Should it be on Max or is setting 3 where it should be? Or does it not matter?
Hi , it doesn’t matter at what setting it is . The spring gets tensioned only when you cockney impact. So for installation it doesn’t matter , when you are at that stage you can turn the power wheel and check it for yourself 👍
Great video. Litle help please: I bought the kit, but it only had one ring spacer in it. I read that the M3 doesn't need the rubber ball and spring from the kit. So It's necessary the 2 spacers to impact M3 or one is enough?

That was installed on your impact compact “500mm barrel”..? If so, what was your regulator at?.. I can’t even get my Compact to shoot the JSB 33.95 grains past 870 fps at 135-140 on the reg with hammer spring close to max.. Very impressive....
Yes 500mm , I don’t remember the regulator pressure but I think it was around 125-130 bar . But the slug power kit and Huma transferport help with archiving that velocity
I believe FX now has a pin probe for the 30cal aswel , if you can’t find that go check out Huma air the make one aswel . You can use the original probe but it won’t be as good as the pinprobe that limits the airflow

@@oleedirish7031 🤔 it’s getting abit confusing. The slug power kit is made by FX for the Impact , I combined it with the Huma air high flow TP . FX doesn’t make a slug power kit for the Dreamline as of yet and I don’t know if they will . Although Huma makes the pin probe for the Dreamline but there is no power kit for it
I have a question regarding the slug probe. Will I have to switch it out for the original probe when I want to shoot pellets? Has anyone shot pellets using the slug probe?
I would do that yes , you can shoot pellets with the pin probe but it’s possible that your pellets don’t seat deep enough depending on the skirt depth . Or you buy the Huma air high flow probe that matches the dual transferport its abit like a hybrid probe

From my experience it doesn’t matter at what power settings it is , I won’t affect the 6.3mm , unless you have over adjusted the HS tension or have a high power aftermarket doing inside

I'm afraid that in my mk2 power plenum FX mounted the hammer seat with the O'ring inside. I used the dremel to warm it up, but later not possible to re-insert anymore the hammer seat, there is something that block it to be screwed in.(melted oring?) You at minutes 10:03 say..."you feel some spring tension" may be you too have the oring inside but you didnt melt it? I'm trying to fix what i melt with Aceton but i'm afraid that i'v to buy a new C1 ..:)
Hi , have you made sure the threads on the valve rod are clean and not damaged? Are the threads in the C1 oke ? Remove any residue from the glue used before reinstalling it . Let me know if that works
@@Airbuks i'm sure i removed all the glue (and probably the rests of a melted O'ring that was inside C1 even is in my impact x mk2 pow plenum should not be) but i'm afraid i damaged the treads...i'm ordeing a new rod and a new C1...thanks for help...;)
Not sure 🤔 if you use a dual hole transfer port with matching pellet probe I think it might help . Since the rest of the kit can give you some more hammerspring tension or open de valve longer
I'm planning to install the slug power kit with pellet probe on my FX Impact Mk3 Sniper. I'm sure, thanks to Your Nice, complete Video, I will succeed. Thanks for that. Still I have two questons: 1. When installing the pellet probe (it seems that You can adjust the depth the Pellet is inserted in the Barrel), You first have to adjust it, so the magazine could be inserted freely. But when I want to change the depth after that, f.i. deeper, could I still insert the magazine? 2. In common, when removing the barrel and insert it again, f.i. to change Pellet vs Slug Port or just pull it out and push it in again, I have a little change in my POI and have to adjust my scope. is this normal? 1. You can’t adjust it deeper that the clearance/opening for the magazine. But you anyway don’t want it to be deeper then that or your probe will push against the liner entrance. The ideal measurement is 44mm when you measure from the endplate to the back of the probe when the bold is closed . ( with the budstock removed offcours) 2. Slight poi change is normal when rotating the barrel . This due to the velocity change between the normal and slug port aswel as the harmonic difference as at what point in the twist rate the slug or pellet leaves the barrel

Hi , both are very good airguns . The Impact is more complicated then the Maverick in design and has some benefits over the Maverick like a slightly better trigger and some extra tuning options .( more for expert use 😉) If you are not so much into tuning and maintaining you airgun I would suggest to go for the Maverick . It’s got the same accuracy as the impact , less orings inside , slightly easier to tune . The trigger is a linkage trigger butt still amazing for 95%of the shooters 😉

Yes you can but the will fly fast , you will have to restrict the transferport and put the hammerspring on min . And I would opt for a heavy pellet . Also I would swap the pin probe for a high flow one from Huma , the pin probe won’t seat the pellet deep enough due to the skirt
Yes offcours you can shoot slug in it’s original state 👍 the slug power kit just gives you some extra power and the ability to fine tune the seating depth of the slug in the barrel

You don’t gain more efficiency with the slug power kit , if you are happy shooting 33 Gr slugs at 930 FPS and it’s accurate I would not install it . But if you want to shoot them faster or a heavier slug it’s always a good choice
why did you remove my question about the sense of FX Slug Power Kit Installation ? To have less than 50 of fps and much harder possibility earlier break the hammer due much stronger spring.
Sorry mate , i never remove questions or comment unless they are insulting or inappropriate etc , so that must be a glitch or mistake. The added fps is different depending on caliber and tune as in my cal and tune yes it might look like it’s not a lot but more can be achieved but isn’t more accurate, if you can follow what I mean . The impact is designed and upgraded to cope with these added hammersprings and heavier hammers , with the comming of the power plenum the valve and rod have been stronger for instance . So no worries about power upgrading and breaking stuff 😉
Does the M3 also need the 2 spacer rings ? I bought a kit and it only have one spacer. People told me the M3 has enough on one spacer but i dont believe that !
Hi , I asked my contact at FX and they confirmed that it has been changed to 1 spacer this year , so it’s correct what they have told you . I was not aware of this myself and am finishing up a video where I install the slug kit in my M3 but I have installed a 2 spacer one as I still had one kit that came with 2 spacers
@@Airbuks ok, well i installed the one spacer on my M3. This was original a .25 sniper. I changed the barrel to a .22 slugliner with the slug pellet probe and a huma transferport. Everything matched out perfect etc... But i did not have the power i expected so i made a second spacer and it seems that there is almost no place for the second spacer. When turning the powerwheel on max and micro to max the trigger does not cock so i had to turn the micro a little back to 3or 4. So that in mind no big deal i gave it a try again but not to much power. Verry disappointed again... So now i brought the 1st regulator to 165 bar and the second to 130. This results in 305 m/s or 1000 fps with the 25 grain knockouts. To get this i had to max the valve adjuster completely out. So in the end of this story i'm only shooting with 25 grain slugs at 1000 fps and i got the M3 almost maxed out and i just have a strange feeling about it. Thinking about it i ordered a .25 slugliner i just hope the M3 won't let me down at 250 m/s (820 fps). I don't know how far i want to go with the regulator pressure...
@@moekakke I briefly tested mine after installing it and I can achieve 1050 FPS with 30 Gr slugs in 22 Regulators are at 185-150 / Macro 16 / Micro 4 / valve at 5,5 lines ( 1.5 turns out from 4 lines ) The slug power kit is made to be used with higher regulator pressures the spacer are there to give some extra spring power to overcome the higher pressure behind the valve
@@Airbuks Ok thanks for this information. 185 is that the 1 regulator at maximum i guess ? For now i use the jsb knockouts 25 grain. They perform well at 1000 pfs. I think i'm gonna give the regulators some extra pressure then ;-) I don't see problems for the .22 there is some extra to get out of it but when my .25 superior heavy arives (whenever that may be they told me 5 weeks) i realy would like to give them also this 1000fps. I just switched to 22 caliber to flatten the trajectory.

@@lassesarnhult9283 you should be able to fix it. Regarding airguns there are almost no regulations around it so we can have full power at any caliber 😊

@@Airbuks I put the spring in that came with the kit. The mk2 is pretty much maxed out on Hammer spring adjustment before I started this. Just figured out that if I drop the dial down to 4 it puts it at the proper measurement. Is this ok? Make sence
My fx impact mk2 power plenum version .177 caliber is set to 940 fps at minimum power, but in maximum 917 fps only...why sir? Lower power has a higher velocity than hammer tension higher!!!
It sounds like your impact is completely out off tune 🤔 did you retune your impact after installing the slug kit ? Ps: I think the slug power kit is only effective with heavier ammunition
@@Ruata_Hmar oké 👍 if you are getting better power at minimum you are overpowering the hammerspring, meaning . The force that the hammer puts on the valve is to big and the valve shuts to quickly again resulting in less power . You will have to tune the powerwheel down at its max setting then . Put in on max . Shoot a few shots . Adjust the adjustment screw in the powerwheel counter clockwise 1/2 turn . Shoot a few shots and repeat this until you see a drop in velocity at the max setting, normally you should see it rise before it will drop
It can shoot slug without the slug kit aswel just fine in its standard configuration from the factory, but if you want more power to shoot very heavy slugs or at a lower regulator pressure the kit is available for those who want or need it . The impact design is already around for a few years and these mods give the owners of earlier models the ability to keep there impacts up to date . Not many other manufacturers do this .

Didn’t look for the maximum, but at the moment it shoots the 33gr javelin inn.22 at 980fps

Only problem I found is I have had to wind in My front valve adjustment to 2.5 lines before the FPS dropped, and also the pin gets bent easily
The valve knob at 2.5 is normal, I have the same when configured in .22 , but it’s the first time that I hear the pin bends easily

I'm afraid that in my mk2 power plenum FX mounted the hammer seat with the O'ring inside. I used the dremel to warm it up, but later not possible to re-insert anymore the hammer seat, there is something that block it to be screwed in.(melted oring?)
You at minutes 10:03 say..."you feel some spring tension" may be you too have the oring inside but you didnt melt it?

Hi , have you made sure the threads on the valve rod are clean and not damaged?
Are the threads in the C1 oke ?
Remove any residue from the glue used before reinstalling it .

@@Airbuks i'm sure i removed all the glue (and probably the rests of a melted O'ring that was inside C1 even is in my impact x mk2 pow plenum should not be) but i'm afraid i damaged the treads...i'm ordeing a new rod and a new C1...thanks for help...;)

Not sure 🤔 if you use a dual hole transfer port with matching pellet probe I think it might help . Since the rest of the kit can give you some more hammerspring tension or open de valve longer

I'm planning to install the slug power kit with pellet probe on my FX Impact Mk3 Sniper. I'm sure, thanks to Your Nice, complete Video, I will succeed. Thanks for that.
Still I have two questons: 1. When installing the pellet probe (it seems that You can adjust the depth the Pellet is inserted in the Barrel), You first have to adjust it, so the magazine could be inserted freely. But when I want to change the depth after that, f.i. deeper, could I still insert the magazine?
2. In common, when removing the barrel and insert it again, f.i. to change Pellet vs Slug Port or just pull it out and push it in again, I have a little change in my POI and have to adjust my scope. is this normal? Thanks in Advance and keep up the good work, I enjoy all Your Videos.
1. You can’t adjust it deeper that the clearance/opening for the magazine. But you anyway don’t want it to be deeper then that or your probe will push against the liner entrance.
The ideal measurement is 44mm when you measure from the endplate to the back of the probe when the bold is closed . ( with the budstock removed offcours)
2. Slight poi change is normal when rotating the barrel . This due to the velocity change between the normal and slug port aswel as the harmonic difference as at what point in the twist rate the slug or pellet leaves the barrel

But when sliding the barrel out and slide it back in again in the same position (Pellet Port/Pellet Port), then I had also a little POI drift. Is this normal or has it to do how much You fastened the hex screw for fixing the barrel? Thanks again in advance.
@@chefrenty9155 that is also possible and normal as every thing you change on the gun has a small impact on your poi specially the barrel

Hi , both are very good airguns . The Impact is more complicated then the Maverick in design and has some benefits over the Maverick like a slightly better trigger and some extra tuning options .( more for expert use 😉)
If you are not so much into tuning and maintaining you airgun I would suggest to go for the Maverick . It’s got the same accuracy as the impact , less orings inside , slightly easier to tune .
The trigger is a linkage trigger butt still amazing for 95%of the shooters 😉

Yes you can but the will fly fast , you will have to restrict the transferport and put the hammerspring on min . And I would opt for a heavy pellet .
Also I would swap the pin probe for a high flow one from Huma , the pin probe won’t seat the pellet deep enough due to the skirt

Yes offcours you can shoot slug in it’s original state 👍 the slug power kit just gives you some extra power and the ability to fine tune the seating depth of the slug in the barrel

You don’t gain more efficiency with the slug power kit , if you are happy shooting 33 Gr slugs at 930 FPS and it’s accurate I would not install it . But if you want to shoot them faster or a heavier slug it’s always a good choice

why did you remove my question about the sense of FX Slug Power Kit Installation ? To have less than 50 of fps and much harder possibility earlier break the hammer due much stronger spring.
Sorry mate , i never remove questions or comment unless they are insulting or inappropriate etc , so that must be a glitch or mistake.
The added fps is different depending on caliber and tune as in my cal and tune yes it might look like it’s not a lot but more can be achieved but isn’t more accurate, if you can follow what I mean .
The impact is designed and upgraded to cope with these added hammersprings and heavier hammers , with the comming of the power plenum the valve and rod have been stronger for instance .
So no worries about power upgrading and breaking stuff 😉
Does the M3 also need the 2 spacer rings ? I bought a kit and it only have one spacer. People told me the M3 has enough on one spacer but i dont believe that !
Hi , I asked my contact at FX and they confirmed that it has been changed to 1 spacer this year , so it’s correct what they have told you .
I was not aware of this myself and am finishing up a video where I install the slug kit in my M3 but I have installed a 2 spacer one as I still had one kit that came with 2 spacers

@@Airbuks ok, well i installed the one spacer on my M3. This was original a .25 sniper. I changed the barrel to a .22 slugliner with the slug pellet probe and a huma transferport. Everything matched out perfect etc... But i did not have the power i expected so i made a second spacer and it seems that there is almost no place for the second spacer. When turning the powerwheel on max and micro to max the trigger does not cock so i had to turn the micro a little back to 3or 4. So that in mind no big deal i gave it a try again but not to much power. Verry disappointed again... So now i brought the 1st regulator to 165 bar and the second to 130. This results in 305 m/s or 1000 fps with the 25 grain knockouts. To get this i had to max the valve adjuster completely out. So in the end of this story i'm only shooting with 25 grain slugs at 1000 fps and i got the M3 almost maxed out and i just have a strange feeling about it. Thinking about it i ordered a .25 slugliner i just hope the M3 won't let me down at 250 m/s (820 fps). I don't know how far i want to go with the regulator pressure...
@@moekakke I briefly tested mine after installing it and I can achieve 1050 FPS with 30 Gr slugs in 22
Regulators are at 185-150 / Macro 16 / Micro 4 / valve at 5,5 lines ( 1.5 turns out from 4 lines )
The slug power kit is made to be used with higher regulator pressures the spacer are there to give some extra spring power to overcome the higher pressure behind the valve
@@Airbuks Ok thanks for this information. 185 is that the 1 regulator at maximum i guess ? For now i use the jsb knockouts 25 grain. They perform well at 1000 pfs. I think i'm gonna give the regulators some extra pressure then ;-) I don't see problems for the .22 there is some extra to get out of it but when my .25 superior heavy arives (whenever that may be they told me 5 weeks) i realy would like to give them also this 1000fps. I just switched to 22 caliber to flatten the trajectory.

Yes I do have the 54mm hs in the Fx pw max and hammer spring screw at 18.5mm gap
Try reducing your inner Hs adjustment, it’s probably maxed out and this limits your to get the 6,5 mm

@@Airbuks I put the spring in that came with the kit. The mk2 is pretty much maxed out on Hammer spring adjustment before I started this. Just figured out that if I drop the dial down to 4 it puts it at the proper measurement. Is this ok? Make sence

My fx impact mk2 power plenum version .177 caliber is set to 940 fps at minimum power, but in maximum 917 fps only...why sir? Lower power has a higher velocity than hammer tension higher!!!
It sounds like your impact is completely out off tune 🤔 did you retune your impact after installing the slug kit ?
Ps: I think the slug power kit is only effective with heavier ammunition

@@Ruata_Hmar oké 👍 if you are getting better power at minimum you are overpowering the hammerspring, meaning .
The force that the hammer puts on the valve is to big and the valve shuts to quickly again resulting in less power .
You will have to tune the powerwheel down at its max setting then .
Put in on max .
Shoot a few shots .
Adjust the adjustment screw in the powerwheel counter clockwise 1/2 turn .
Shoot a few shots and repeat this until you see a drop in velocity at the max setting, normally you should see it rise before it will drop

It can shoot slug without the slug kit aswel just fine in its standard configuration from the factory, but if you want more power to shoot very heavy slugs or at a lower regulator pressure the kit is available for those who want or need it . The impact design is already around for a few years and these mods give the owners of earlier models the ability to keep there impacts up to date . Not many other manufacturers do this .
