That drum work is so impressive.
Chris Luciantonio I saw them live, and it was the only time I’ve ever seen a drum played standing up.
Was kind of missing the vocal layering that makes so many of the Beach Boys songs great, but the ending where the instruments gradually take over the vocals was amzing
I wish we could get both the vocals and their amazing sound.
Totally
These guys sound like they all met at jazz school.
indeed.
yea they did
Groovy
bassist shooting for that Carol Kaye tone, as he should
The beginning made me feel like in a Hey Arnold episode
The percussion in this song is on point
BADBADNOTGOOD seriously nailed the "wall of sound" thing that Brian did with Pet Sounds. I love this so much
These dudes are just straight up way too talented
bill from freaks and geeks on the piano
Loving the bass tone here
I listen to this song at least once a day
they should so do a proper recording. totally nailed it. love seeing great covers
The bass, drums, and piano sold me on this one! Really nice.
That's a nice and soothing voice.
More like GOODGOODNOTBAD, amiright?
this joke was on fire in 2010 my dude
Sorry, wasn't aware of it.
good good
god damn it MORTY
I love Brian Wilson so much I was ready to hate it, but I had such a lovely time. Kudos to the band !
badbadnotgood are my favourite band. So pissed I missed their show.
it was intense. I'm guessing you're referring to their gig in Richmond, Melbourne?
Scotty Nicholls Brisbane.
That sucks, I've seen them twice! So much energy, love their dynamic on stage.
These guys prove why drummers (and all musicians) really gotta study jazz on some level to be serious musicians, just makes you a level above garage bands
No.. Just no
Saving the best Like a version for the end of the year. I love it :)
Been watching these all afternoon, this might be the best one of the whole series. WOW!
Noticed one vocal mic and didn’t think it could work. But removing all the harmonies allowed the beauty of the instrumentation to shine. Great job.
Great cover, very unique. Sublime and intense all in one, esp. at the end.
great build up at the end
These kids get it.. Super-talented!
this always makes me think of my mom❤️
thank you😢
Great choice for them. This song is jazz chords galore and they nailed it.
bbng's arrangements always have reminded me of the pet sounds recording sessions so it's nice to see this rendition/tribute.
Fantastic!!!!!!! Go drummer man!!
Brilliant
Great cover of one of the most beautiful songs ever
Absolutely gorgeous
What a great song choice and performance.
BBNG, Toronto's finest! I can't believe I never found this before.
Hate to say it but...
Best like a version ever...

That's a decent like a version well done guys loved it!!!!!😛
BEEAAAUUUTTTIIFFFFUUULLLLLLLL
This made me happy
WOW! MIND IS BLOWN!!!
Beautiful
Easily My New Fav Song! I Love Like A Version, There given artist a great platform to do there own music or a remake. Classics are extremely hard to pull off while putting your own touch on it & keeping it a classic. These guys are very underrated & I love the talent/creativity.
wish this were on spotify!
Absolutely banging... Nailed it legends.
The drummer is incredible
magnificent cover!
and let the angels fly... beautifulll version!!
this is great!
coffee house jazz for breakfast.
that bass tone Is tHICC AF
Such a beautiful rendition it hurts
I occasionally come back to this video and I must say, every time I come back I like it a little more. I didn't much care for it first time I heard it but I really rate it now tbh
I came back to this comment to say it grew on me enough to make it to my top ten votes for the like a version hottest 100! One of my all time favourites now🤝
easily the best like a version of 2016 in my opinion
if this is bad i wouldn't want anything good anymore
isn't that a Modest Mouse lyric
+Stuart Ayers idk, which song?
I remembered what it reminded me of: "If life's not beautiful without the pain, well I'd just rather never ever even see beauty again." from the song The View
lol love that reference
Beautiful version
I think Brian Wilson would like tis ..its so lovely
smooth
hansen kills is on the bass in the build up part, really seals it, amazing
I see these guys tonight, WOO!
fugg man i love this so much
Just amazed to see a Conn New Wonder II being played on Triple J.
Sooooo beautiful...
Not many other bands on like a version play old songs. I really fucking enjoyed that it was so different.
For me, it ties up that building wall of sound BW wanted with hints of the old BB.
A damn fine recipe of music.
This was special.
Really like!
Most underrated like a version
this rox!
Is this bill haverchuck on keys ❤️
Drummer an absolute madman live
Damn that's a solid cover!
jonti and badbadnotgood!!!!
getting Jonti wit it~!~
everyone go vote for this in the like a version hottest 100 its clearly the best one
The guy on the piano looks like Logic if he was full white and not mixed 😂
BEST
Eargasms as always
this is weird. its like jazzy kermit the frog. i like it.
Good work.
So hard to not compare to the original, but its damn good
Would love to see BBNG do a cover of Pet Sounds (the song), reckon they would nail it.
The thing is, you’re unlikely to get any band as technically talented on the show as these guys are
Supa hot fire
HOLY SHIT, JONTI AND BBNG???? YESSSSSSSS
Started amazing. Turned into the Siberian discount cruise version of the song and my inner B-Wils almost died... and then boom! Killer ending. Like a sandwich with rotten tofu between the fluffy beautiful bread slices.
BBNG are really good.
This cover is up there with Betty Everett's face-melter that is compulsory listening for all children under 12 and over 12.
Trust us/The Process.
Dammit, I thought it said BADBADNOTGOOD ft. Jonsi, as in the singer from Sigur Ros. I'm like "well this'll be interesting".
The piano player looks different, is that still Matthew?
nah matt took a break from touring/shows, thats james one of their friends filling in.
Where did you find that out, Sade?
since when?
the asian tour without China. CRYING
Anyone know what kind of bass that is?
Done right👍
What the hell is that Bass?
Tone wise it’s like some hybrid of a Fender Precision and a Gibson Explorer.
Sounds brilliant!
I love this song, but you need the harmonys in there, well because it's just better
This is so good. Going to make some room in my top 10
Beach Boys just isn't the same without the harmonies but these guys did a great job!
that arrangement tho
Who knew that Richard Hendricks could sing that well.
The introduction is reminiscent of Jack Dejohnette’s Lydia
What bass model is Chester using?
never fully watched the covers, until this.
close to perfect, don't you think?
I hear Cowboy Bebop in that opening section.
this sax player reminds me of the one on Jerry Paper's tune time raw
They helped out on his album
Not my cup of tea, but still a good, interesting cover.
crying at how much i hate your stupid ahh comment
People can have opinions, guys
I hope they are big, salty tears.
You have it backwards, mate.
Wouldnt music be boring if everyone liked the exact same songs?
