why the negative comments? Its a cover, and I absolutely love it when an artist takes a song that isn't theirs and turns it into their own tune. To me that is what Like a Version is all about. It showcases the artist talent and how they can take a song and mold it. She is amazingly talented... a one woman band. This song sounds nothing like the original, and its an great that she has turned an electronic dance track and made it into this floaty, hippy track.

I love how polarised people are by this song. It's that intense and visceral that people feel compelled one way or the other. I think she is incredibly talented and this song would go down so well at a festival. I can understand why people think it should have been shorter and she should have pronounced her lyrics but she is filthy and raw - that's the fun, charm of it.

The talent within this girl is only the beginning to her impressiveness, it’s the fierce passion you can see from her smile and the pure soul she feeds into her cover, the Rhythm, and the variety and depth of her sound progression. This is just art, amazing girl. An utter inspiration as a female artist too, never seen anybody perform so beautifully live, definitely will listen to her pieces and albums forever. Her style also and fashion is so cool, it’s almost free and fluid. Love her to bits.

I’ve always loved her soooo much because she’s so passionate, I’ll never forget when I came across them on Facebook years ago, a version of jungle I’m still yet to find because she did it slightly different than any other recording but it was so good and made me feel all the things good music does and I was immediately obsessed than later came across this. Was in love. Glad I found her again

The more you listen to this type of style, I think you're sort of training your ears to understand what is being said, even if it isn't entirely correct it has your own interpretation. Everything going on in the song (for me) isn't mixed in to one, it's a whole bunch of individual sounds I tune in too. I personally really appreciate artists who embrace and have fun doing these sorts of covers :)

The people disliking this video don't have a taste mature enough to enjoy her. Tash isn't trying to replicate MGMT or to do anything different. She's just creating sound to deliver herself and you to a different place, and imo, she does that pretty damn well.
Blacke Chan I understand what you're saying, but it's not down to mature taste. Don't ever put it down to mature taste. People have different perceptions and opinions of good and bad. Personally, I believe she is much better in creating a record rather than something I would want to experience live. Saying she is a talented musician is kinda like lying to yourself, because you're watching her use all this pedals in the same key with minimal variety and just stacking shit like every kid does when they get their first couple of pedals. She is both doing service and butchering the vocal instrument at the same time, and the 'guitar solo' makes it look childish, taking it from a relaxed vibe into some kind of "Heyyyyyyy how cool is this" vibe.
But that's just my own opinion.
So much talent. She is brilliant. Professionally playing so many instruments, mixing them together in real time to construct a song, and then the raw creativity she possesses. I have never seen someone able to do what she has accomplished. Well done!
