Chris, great to see you back on. But, why you left Phuket so quickly!? Did you see a ghost? You said in your initial travel video to Phuket that you wanted to report about life in Phuket - before the July 1 opening date of the Phuket Sandbox. I was really looking forward to that. What happened to those plans? -Nils
Chris Parker is the most natural guy on camera......his vlogs are so entertaining . The news of the 120 day reopening is fantastic news ........yipee !
Tim always says awkward things to his guests and then he asks Chris why it says a "awkward" on his shirt. Chris's epic response," You should know all about being awkward Tim!"
Thanks Tim for listening and having Retired working for you on. As you can see He is a straight up Guy doing fantastic work for the play it foward Thai videos He does. Enjoyed the interview.
I love Chris and his TH-cam channel! I'm an expat living in China waiting to visit Thailand. His channel is so positive and informative. Thank you for having him on your show.
Great to see Chris on here, been following him. This is exciting time for Thailand vloggers including Thaiger as it’s the beginning of a huge change in media and how we get news and information around the world. As a fellow Angeleno, I’m happy to be here when most restrictions are lifted as of yesterday and as evidenced to the rest of the world that there’s hope in the vaccine. I do think 120 days are too long, why not in 30 or 45 days?
I've been watching Chris's channel for almost a year, I love it! He is just funny and does good videos, and then on top of that, his "pay it forward" mentality is fantastic!
Chris and also Chad from CB Media. My 2 fav foreign youtubers in Thailand. Great content...entertaining, funny and informative. They never needed to resort to sleazy content. Thanks to both..and and to Thaiger as the 'go to' English language news.
Nice job Tim Getting Chris to contribute ,And Bill as well, thanks again for the information about Thai Air,and the 120 day proposal ,I’m trying to stay positive and hopeing that Australia and Thailand get a bubble thing going late this year 🙏
If the PM comment on opening up in 120 days corresponds with his comment on lifting restrictions on foreign tourists who have been vaccinated....it will be a very positive move.
Chris is great and one of the best if not the best vlogger in Thailand; he doesn’t just sit on the couch and beg for money, his vlogs take (effort) 🤣 and it shows … he also donates the fruits of this effort to those here in Thailand in need. 👍👍👍🙏🙏
I can not take Thai governments plans seriously... These plans keep changing every day. When I listen to the process and protocols laid down by Thai authorities , it seems they think the whole world is just dying to be in Thailand at any cost.
Love to see Chris on the Thaiger! Tim & Bill, keep looking and I'm sure you'll find more expats worth getting to know and sharing with your audience (starting with those two guys doing that good work in Klong Toey).
Really Great to watch this video between Chris and the "Thaiger Team". I am a great fan of both channels, watching every single video you produce..... Congrats to all of you, you are providing good quality information, entertainment and more. (JC from HK)
I liked Chris's comment "Open means open." We humans have always adapted. It's Thailand's choice to impose restrictions; however, I won't go if entry requirements are unreasonable.
Thailand is slowly drowning. High unemployment and closed businesses amount to slow growth. No one is looking for a vacation in Thailand that you are required to spend 2 weeks in quarantine. Or to buy health insurance. There is still a perception of fear of infections that is holding tourism hostage. Moreover, whats ironic is most of the infections are NOT from Foreigners. Honestly, IMHO Thailand has failed itself by not paying stricter attention to local population transmission and lax testing programs. With migrant workers and the prison population at the highest risk, the virus will never be eliminated. So everyone needs to understand Covid-19 will be around for a long time, just as seasonal flu is. As long as there are infections, the government will remain overly vigilant and on guard. But eventually be forced to remove restrictions and live with outbreaks. Hence the reason you are purchasing the insurance. I personally would like to see statistics on infections by Foreigners compared the local population. The insurance industry selling Foreigners Covid-19 Insurance from government approved companies and the revenue generated is a booming business and I suspect a healthy percentage of the premiums are being funneled to subsidize the care for locals in government hospitals (and maybe private too). What are the statistics on Foreigners who have contracted Covid-19 after arriving? And expats here? What about Local infections by locals? You only hear about gross "infections" not categorically. And what's more idiotic is more so than not you merely are symptomatic and don't require hospitalization! Go figure!
Literally 99% of everyone has never seen a single person sick with “Covid,” much less known a person who died from it. If that is a “pandemic,” suit yourself, but be sure it will happen every year.
Totally agree - thousands of daily cases will not go away because locals and expats get vaccinated - sadly they need to lockdown all areas with a maximum movement of 25kms from home - only go out to shop , work 🤷♂️
Thank you for another great morning show. I love to follow it. AND sound was good today again. Keep it up. You were lucky not to have a sandwich guest in today, so it was a homeplay. I will look forward to your next trio in the studio.

Surely a mandatory `tracking` wristband would mean the government issuing a contract to the provider with all associated costs including `introducer commissions` ?
Hi Thaiger, having Chris on the show great idea. Chris is a legend and has good content and gives much of his youtube earnings back to the community. Nice addition.
Been following Chris since I saw his video from the Green Lung. Love what he is doing to help the Thai people who have been hit so hard by Covid. Keep it going Chris and the Thaiger

Thai Airlines is a good service that I have experienced in business class, however the flights are expensive over £1K above other airlines therefore price themselves out of the market. Bill doesnt understand insurance & foreigners having a better unlimited insurance is the best coverage & foreigners do not want to pay for an unclaimable policy that is ultimately a paper excercise for a cost - this puts foreigners off from travelling to Thailand - ripped off is the term... 14 days - Thailand will lose the number of tourists to other destinations which is a shame as Thailand depends whether it likes it or not on repeat customers....

I have to say that auto-generated voice for your Thaiger commercials is a big turn off. I associate that with scams and cheap products that break within a few days. Please look into a human voiceover instead. I'll keep watching, so don't worry about that!
Regarding health insurance to enter Thailand, I have health insurance that covers me here in America & foreign travel. I have used it Before at Bumrangard hospital, no problem but now Thai consulate here says I must purchase Thai insurance. It’s not fair. I have been coming to Thailand for 30 years. The price for Thai insurance is over $1000; I come to Thailand for 30-60 days. It’s just another impediment for travel there. It’s good news they’re considering stopping quarantine !
when I arrived by boat I had to quarantine and wear a wrist band so they were able to see if I'd be staying in the quarantine anchorage. While that was a total nuisance (I don't wear anything at my wrist usually) its not that I was able to go anywhere anyhow so I just sucked it up. It sure is not creating the vibe of a great "welcome". As a tourist I sure would not want to wear a wrist band during y vacation activities, nor would I feel ok having a tracking app tracking my whereabouts at any time. I think the Thai government is underrating this issue. People may be willing to undergo some extra scrutiny on arrival, even getting tested after some days and being a bit limited as to their movement until the test. But tracking ? I personally think thats a total no-no. And requires a lot of logistics to have all the tracking devices and monitor them. I went through two of them as the first one failed right away. Again, I am very sure, tracking devices are a killer for an invitation. I think the main priority for Thailand to make the reopening work is to take care of the vaccine supply and vaccinate everybody willing a.s.a.p. And announcing a general reopening in 120 days no matter what a day after dropping the news that there are no vaccines, sorry. Thats a shot in the heart of the sandboxes and I am not sure I'd call that a well thought out plan ;-). But then, I am not Thai so I probably simply don't understand the logic behind Thai government decision making.
Hi Tim. The best episode of GOOD MORNING THAILAND yet. Some TOXICS comments should be removed. How can you call Chris Parker names when he did SO MUCH with his monthly giveways to help Thai people in need. Please, think twice before writing your vicious comments. To easy to bash behind your tablet or smartphone. Get a life.
The problem with Covid insurance is that many people’s insurance plans already do cover Covid, but they don’t specifically list Covid in the policies. That means you need to buy a second policy that specifically states Covid. Waste of money.
Great News. Let's hope vaccine hope all the anti Vax nonsense stops and we all play our part keeping eachother safe! Looking forward to Being in beautiful Thailand December 21 🤞
You guys do an amazing job, informative and entertaining. Never come across Chris and his channel before, have to give it a look. Just to say for those that maybe in a similar position, after 8 months of battling with Opodo travel and Thai Airways finally got our vouchers to fly again! Very stressful but you just have to keep at it. However I now hear the airlines are doubling their prices to recoup some of their losses! Oh well...Thanks
Thanks for letting me know that FB has stopped translating Thai to English for everyone, not just me. My first instinct was to think that maybe they thought I said something their censors didn't like.
They’re called flag carriers for a reason, and Thailand, being the biggest economy in the region, needs to maintain, perhaps not as large a fleet, but certainly a presence.
Question: Can we do a poll on Thaiger related to all the requirements imposed by the Thai govt and see how many target foreign tourists are ready to accept this?
Retired airline pilots in America have recently reported a massive shortage of pilots currently. They went on to say that the airlines are desperately searching for new pilots. They also mentioned that many planes over the last year have been placed in storage. In order for them to get back flying, many will require maintenance and some repairs. Airplanes were never designed to sit in storage for long periods of time. The FED spoke yesterday confirming my prior comments regarding inflation. Spot gold fell sharply yesterday along with Bitcoin and US stocks have been retreating a little. In 2016, the debt-to-GDB ratio was just over 100%. Yesterday it was 129% with no end in sight. The FED is supporting nothing. Experts are alleging that the FED is issuing debt and buying it through another door. Based on the foregoing, the economy is shrinking not growing. The debt is massively being increased. No doubt this will affect travel and tourism in the future.
I enjoy the program overall and also enjoy Chris's channel. Glad to see some optimism from Thailand even if it's just a change in tone for the moment. I was one of the few travelers who was able to arrive in April during the 7 day ASQ before the resumed the 14 day ASQ. Even with great accommodations, that was a bit tough. I think the allure for many travelers is that we like to have loose plans and go with the flow. So being tied to one place/room/island for extended periods of time is not so appealing. On the flip side, back here in the USA we are opening and setting an example of what it's like to shift toward normalcy. Right now unvaccinated people are welcome to partake "at your own risk". And as long as serious illness doesn't overwhelm the healthcare system it's probably the best way to move on. Hope that Thailand and the whole region there get there in the next 3 months. The sheer "120 day" announcement lets us to believe that they expect some level of herd immunity in that timeframe.
Chris is one amazing (ping)!and kind hearted guy and his channel is fun to watch (ping) his pay it forward vlogs have brought me to tears a (ping) number of times 🙏🏻 😂😂

Expect all restrictions to vanish and evolve into a new set of social norms backed up by a new piece of disease control infrastructure.
I notice the PM did not say anything about 70% (international safety minimum) of the Thai population being vaccinated within 120 days.

Best thing on your channel. Smile and embrace the opportunity
