I think it's because everyone knows why a vision is given that she doesn't need to elaborate. Her Character story reveals more. At least she sees it as one god out there stirred by her journey to the boundary and back.
You also have Albedo who looked at his newly materialized vision and thought "ah ok" and just went on with his day, Ningguang tried to sold it instantly and Noelle basically goes "can I get a refund? I wanted an anemo vision"
Another misconception about character's vision is Beidou's. They say she got hers by fighting haishan for four days but in lore it actually states that it took their fleet 4 days to subdue haishan and it took beidou 10 Hours waiting for the perfect moment to kill haishan. So yeah regularly people think her Strength gave her a vision but her sheer determination, leadership, and patience is the reason why she received a vision.
Not too related but I can imagine an alternate version of the story where Venti gets the Traveler a fake glowing crystal ball for each element to hide the fact that he can control the elements and him just constantly forgetting to change it when he gets to a different region. "How are you controlling electro if your vision is anemo?" *hides fake vision with his cape* "nah it's an electro vision you must be imagining things"
When venti Say he can make one for us I understand it as a fake one, like the one he wears. Since Archons don't give visions it would be strange that they can make them at will
Venti & Yoimiya just casually discusskng their past counterfeit vision trafficking while the Irodori Festival is going on is unlikely to be shown but i like to imagine that it does indeed happen.
Actually I think venti can actually make visions, but it will be like the blank one that kazuha had. A vision only works if it fits ones ambitions, so a anemo one wouldn't fit any normal person And since a anemo ambitious person almost definitely had their vision, it will definitely be a completely useless ability for an archon to be able to make a vision because either the person already has one or it is un usable(of course it would work if the person lose their vision like Inazuma people did
I thought that archons make visions but who get said visions is up to Celestia, and make they didn't give any eletro visions to people to respect Ei wishes Or they just knew it would be fixed soon so they kept both the visions and a list of people who were supposed to get an eletro vision, OR I'm completely wrong
Okay, so, some voice lines can give clues about a few lores, some lines can be funny, some lines can be sad. Some people can have their own personalities and can have an interactions with anything. It can show about some places or even incidents.
I wonder whether in the game story we will ever get to see a Vision being granted to a character in real time. That would be cool. Currently all the characters have gotten the Vision previously
Add that, the character in question had already developed by the time we reach them as their vision is a milestone of that development. It would really be nice to see that in action.

It is VERY interesting that, archons aside, there are a noticable number of characters who, with each ascension, become more & more wary. These characters are typically those who are already suspicious of the divine, those who are Older Than They Look, and those with Forbidden Knowledge. I greatly anticipate Lisa's next story quest: she knows a lot more than she wants to & if she doesn't end up involved in Sumeru's Archon Quests i'll eat her hat.
I was like: "Wow, never knew the characters had that many voice lines, all of them speak really well and in a flowy way. I like this a lot." Then Itto comes in and i just start lmao. This guy is the best.
It's kinda funny. When I asked my longtime Genshin player friends what they thought "Genshin" even means, they had no idea what the meaning was even though it's the whole title of the game. Venti basically name dropped the game's name, but only in the Chinese and Japanese versions. They just translated Yuanshen/Genshin (literally "original gods") to "allogenes" which as we know is simply the title for the people who have visions. So I don't think most people realise that we're literally controlling literal Genshin 24/7 when we play the game.
That's actually something i've never thought about either. I feel like i heard the word Genshin years ago in a book somewhere and just accepted it as "Yeah seems fitting enough" and didn't question it more. That's super clever
The word allogene itself means something along the lines of being half human, half divine and being able to communicate with realms beyond their own so it's certainly an interesting title
So something I want to bring up is that each Vision wielder seems to share a lot of characteristics with the god that they resonate with. While we can tell that the gods themselves don't give out Visions, what seems to be the case is that Celestia, more than likely Instaroth, is using aspects of each Archon to link to each Vision Bearer of each corresponding element. They might not fully embody the corresponding Archon but each has a small aspect of their ideals and personality. And the thing is, its likely as a limit, we have seen what removing a vision from a person and sealing it away does. More over the manga shows what Celestia is for those who ascend to godhood, they're locked away in a prison. From what it looks like, to me, Celestia is using the traits in Archons to find those who are most likely to either replace, succeed, or overthrow them. People whose ideals could challenge Celestia with the so called "overstepping of humanity" in the original Chinese dialogue. Thus she, Instaroth, who sustains the heavenly principles, has each vision as a shackle. In return for their power, it limits their ambitions and dreams, it acts as a control collar with Instaroth able to write their fates into the false sky of Teyvat, making sure that no vision holder will ever become a threat to the heavenly principles, and should they ever rise to Celestia she can lock them away within the prison shebhas created.
It may be strange how an unga bunga oni like Itto relates to a wise old man like Zhongli. Just remember that Zhongli was once an unga bunga dragon too, he was unable to make decisions without Guizhong
Something I would absolutely love to see happen in the story is to being witness of someone receiving a vision, imagine for example that during the Fontaine archon quest the traveler meets a character that doesn't have a vision and in the climax of their character arc a vision materialize and they use it not to solve the problem (because that could easily make their arc feel pointless) but more as a way to reaffirm their resolution.
a) I think a Gnosis is still _mechanically_ necessary for a Vision to be made, but it's not in the Archon's _job description_ to mandatorially determine Visions. Last night (inspired by a separate Tweet) I came up with a theory that Yae Miko has been in charge of Electro Visions since Ei came into power: Ei was too caught up in grief, Miko had the Gnosis, and she likes plot shenanigans so she decides to grant Visions (esp to people associated with story, like Fischl and Beidou). This also may be why the Tsaritsa wants the Gnoses; she can make Cryo Visions, but needs the other elements, and it'd be a stark upgrade from her Delusion Factory. b) It may be worth thinking of this in terms of how people get awards or grants. There's usually a few ways this could happen: 1. Person applies, panel of judges picks 2. Awarding organisation reaches out directly to potential awardees 3. A third party nominates someone to receive an award, panel of judges review those applications Are the Archons more like the panel of judges in example 3? Can they nominate or recommend, but ultimately the final decision runs with someone else? Or is it an invitation that their potential Wision weilder needs to accept (Which makes Keqing weird)? c) Zhiqiong (the Adventurer in the Chasm causing everyone headache) is likely to be pivotal in our understanding of Visions. Her entire thing is a challenge against the idea of people with Visions being more special or beloved; why can't regular humans like herself also achieve greatness even without the Vision? Why are only Vision Holders paid any attention to? Will Zhiqiong start her own anti-Vision Rebellion (perhaps woth Keqing as an ally)?
(i.e. you don't share the same background as the people in the centre of the cause, but you recognise that their cause is important so you show support)

Despite Venti/Zhongli having fake visions. When you first battle Raiden during the vision hunt decree and she deactivates your characters' visions, theirs too will also be deactivated. Only the Travelers' skills and burst won't go away because "They don't have a vision".
I think it's because we are in Raiden's dream world, and she can make arbitrary rules there. So even elementals like Venti can be deprived of their elemental power. But the Traveler is a Descender and rules don't apply to them.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but in Inozuma is where most of the NPCs with or without visions think they are given by Raiden (their archon). Also the place people aspire the most to have them. But it's also the place where Raiden just says that she is not the one giving visions.
While watching I also perceived a pattern. From Mondstad to Inazuma the gods presence are increasing, maybe on snezhnaya all the common folk will see the Tsaritsa as their friend

ive always thought that everyones relationship with their vison shows how they got it, like bennett having a pyro vison because of his strong ambition, so he would have carried on without it, in contrast qiqi feels isolated from everyone and that makes her a cryo user. i think this also means delusions as a false vison represent a false version of the visons corresponding symbolism, like chiles electro delusion representing his false rebellion against order, or singora haveing cryo because she has to isolate herself instead of truely feeling isolated.
Signora's delusion was given to her to suppress or calm her excessive fire power (dont know if you knew this, if you did, I'm sorry for repeating that info)
What I wonder is, why are the gods distributing the visions to begin with? It is known that the first visions appeared only after the Archon war and that every person who has one has a chance to literally become a god, what I think is that the only real purpose of the visions is to mark who can possibly be chosen to substitute the actual god if it will ever die for good in both body and mind, in any form of his. Or maybe they are just a way to spot and capture too ambitious people, but that's strange since nobody ever got called on Celestia except two in 2600 years after the end of the Archon war

Something that was odd to me is that according to keqing, she has tried to break, bury and drown her vision but it always came back to her so it would seem that once you have a vision, its yours until you expire. However, then we go to inazuma and visions are being forcibly taken away and inlaid on the statue of the omnipresent god. This means one of 3 things to me. 1) Mihoyo made a mistake and forgot that little bit of lore 2) Keqing is just a special girl for some reason 3) There's something odd about that statue that makes it so the visions may no longer be returned to their owners. Edit: Since Im on a rant here: If Keqing is right and visions will simply return to thier owns, HOW IN THE HOLY HEAVENS IS AN ENTIRE GNOSIS STOLEN. Does that mean that a gnosis can't have a "recall" like the less advanced visions. Is there a requirement to use a gnosis like there is with visions. Give me answers, hoyoverse this infuriates me.
I think the worst part is that according to the lore, Diluc willingly left his vision behind for 3 years. It didn't try to return to him even though the situation is similar to Keqing's. If Keqing can't get rid of her vision what makes Diluc able to do so? It can't be because of him using his father's delusion because if that's the case Childe is now put into question. If Childe got rid of his vision, would it not return since he uses a delusion? What exactly is the logic here?

How much am I imagining visions holders feel loosely aligned with the archon “ambition”? That’s not to suggest archons consciously do this. The elements of unreleased archons have common themes that make me wonder about their ambitions. Anemo - Trying to find their own way, in their own way or otherwise stand for the freedom for others to do that. Geo - deep personal sense to uphold a specific promise or code. Electro - somehow lonely or otherwise never needed/wanted it. Hydro - Holds specific station/title that demands they actively administer some kind of service for the good of others - even if it feels a burden. Pyro - have the (infectious) drive to succeed at a specific personal goal/passion no matter the odds - alone if necessary. The Yanfei lines in this video helped me square that circle (should be geo or hydro otherwise). I don’t know enough about Thoma, need to finish his hangout. Cryo - Survivors of something unpleasant/tragic and/or seek to attain personal strength to change/fight something. (Not sure about Ganyu… unless her growing up half adepti then being a kick ass secretary counts).

I am very curious to what Sumerians will think of visions! Being the land of knowledge and wisdom they could know a lot more than what the other region's folk do, maybe even knowing their true purpose, or at least having info that comes close to solving the mystery behind their purpose and why they are given out in the first place (would be nice to learn it's true purpose in Sumeru as a follow-up to inazuma tbh)

i read the teyvat guide of inazuma and now i think that alice is a seelie because seelie where described as the ones that guided humanity and thy where with white skin and with white hair wich could be also blonde and klee is for sure like his mom both in aspect and personality also they are elves the ears and the fact that alice is at least more than 500 years old to call yae miko "little yae miko" means that is more old than her and the fact that she and klee have very a very long life wich is confirned by alice herself means that MAYBE she is a seelie that in someway survived

In hinduism there is called an atman or true self, maybe visions emanates from the true self of a human being. Thats why traveler has no vision because he has not found his atman or his ambition is not parallel to his inner self desire hmm
It's just my thought but I think people get those certain types of vision depending on the ambition of the archon of that elements. If a certain person's ambition matches the archon's ambition during that time. They receive a vision. That would make sense why nobody got electro vision during that 1 year of lockdown. Because nobody wants to stuck in one phase of life. They always want to move to new era of life.
I have only come up a theory when i was showering and i think if its true it would really shaken genshin's lore. So I theorize that what if all vision bearers ascend to godhood? Whats to say that the previous archons were just that vision bearers? If thats true then what if celestia's grand plan to totally subdue humanity is to let them fight one another? distract them from the real problem which is celestia? I theorize that the tsaritsa will fail on her grand plan and as punishment celestia executes all archons to free up the 7 nations. Thus creating another archon war from the recently ascended gods? IF that was true we might see the characters fight for their survival. Imagine the whole of teyvat will be plunge to another bloody war but this time Kazuha, kokomi, Diluc, and the others vision bearers fight for supremacy? We got a taste of a character dying ie signora (although she is not playable) but it just shows how mihoyo is not afraid to kill of characters and we might see it in the future. With how literal the concept of taking your visions away in the sakouku decree, I'm curious. Do they have to bring their vision with them everywhere? Even when taking a bath?
I've wondered if they can ever be stolen while still in one's ownership. We've seen a dead vision get taken during Kazuha's Archon quest arch but what would happen if say.. Someone stole one of the visions from the Inazuman statue? Would it answer to them? Would the vision wielder be able to find it or sense it in someone else's hand? I hope to see that story get told eventually, it'd make for a great playable character's backstory too!
It's more of he makes it sound like he only sees his vision as a means of becoming stronger. He is battle hungry after all, even going so far as to thinking that delusions are good for him in combat despite knowing the scale of danger that lies behind it.
I am still confused about vision on whether they are given by elements or by nations because of hearing klee, keqing and most of the adepts vision holders

a) I think a Gnosis is still _mechanically_ necessary for a Vision to be made, but it's not in the Archon's _job description_ to mandatorially determine Visions. Last night (inspired by a separate Tweet) I came up with a theory that Yae Miko has been in charge of Electro Visions since Ei came into power: Ei was too caught up in grief, Miko had the Gnosis, and she likes plot shenanigans so she decides to grant Visions (esp to people associated with story, like Fischl and Beidou). This also may be why the Tsaritsa wants the Gnoses; she can make Cryo Visions, but needs the other elements, and it'd be a stark upgrade from her Delusion Factory.
b) It may be worth thinking of this in terms of how people get awards or grants. There's usually a few ways this could happen:
1. Person applies, panel of judges picks
2. Awarding organisation reaches out directly to potential awardees
3. A third party nominates someone to receive an award, panel of judges review those applications
Are the Archons more like the panel of judges in example 3? Can they nominate or recommend, but ultimately the final decision runs with someone else? Or is it an invitation that their potential Wision weilder needs to accept (Which makes Keqing weird)?
c) Zhiqiong (the Adventurer in the Chasm causing everyone headache) is likely to be pivotal in our understanding of Visions. Her entire thing is a challenge against the idea of people with Visions being more special or beloved; why can't regular humans like herself also achieve greatness even without the Vision? Why are only Vision Holders paid any attention to? Will Zhiqiong start her own anti-Vision Rebellion (perhaps woth Keqing as an ally)?
@Ultra Charge Gamer she can still be an *ally* to Zhiqiong's cause, that's pretty much what allies are for.
(i.e. you don't share the same background as the people in the centre of the cause, but you recognise that their cause is important so you show support)
Electro vision wielders fit Yae a lot. People who get it are excentric, they would make interesting characters in a story.

Despite Venti/Zhongli having fake visions. When you first battle Raiden during the vision hunt decree and she deactivates your characters' visions, theirs too will also be deactivated. Only the Travelers' skills and burst won't go away because "They don't have a vision".

because the context of the battle was Raiden vs Traveller, not Raiden vs whole ass 4 random people
I think it's because we are in Raiden's dream world, and she can make arbitrary rules there. So even elementals like Venti can be deprived of their elemental power.
But the Traveler is a Descender and rules don't apply to them.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but in Inozuma is where most of the NPCs with or without visions think they are given by Raiden (their archon). Also the place people aspire the most to have them.
But it's also the place where Raiden just says that she is not the one giving visions.
While watching I also perceived a pattern. From Mondstad to Inazuma the gods presence are increasing, maybe on snezhnaya all the common folk will see the Tsaritsa as their friend

Honestly this is really really good and informative like we get to see the big difference on how each nation works to the people and events that happened, which is always a fascinating topic
ive always thought that everyones relationship with their vison shows how they got it, like bennett having a pyro vison because of his strong ambition, so he would have carried on without it, in contrast qiqi feels isolated from everyone and that makes her a cryo user.
i think this also means delusions as a false vison represent a false version of the visons corresponding symbolism, like chiles electro delusion representing his false rebellion against order, or singora haveing cryo because she has to isolate herself instead of truely feeling isolated.
Signora's delusion was given to her to suppress or calm her excessive fire power (dont know if you knew this, if you did, I'm sorry for repeating that info)
What I wonder is, why are the gods distributing the visions to begin with? It is known that the first visions appeared only after the Archon war and that every person who has one has a chance to literally become a god, what I think is that the only real purpose of the visions is to mark who can possibly be chosen to substitute the actual god if it will ever die for good in both body and mind, in any form of his. Or maybe they are just a way to spot and capture too ambitious people, but that's strange since nobody ever got called on Celestia except two in 2600 years after the end of the Archon war

Something that was odd to me is that according to keqing, she has tried to break, bury and drown her vision but it always came back to her so it would seem that once you have a vision, its yours until you expire. However, then we go to inazuma and visions are being forcibly taken away and inlaid on the statue of the omnipresent god. This means one of 3 things to me.
1) Mihoyo made a mistake and forgot that little bit of lore
2) Keqing is just a special girl for some reason
3) There's something odd about that statue that makes it so the visions may no longer be returned to their owners.
Edit: Since Im on a rant here: If Keqing is right and visions will simply return to thier owns, HOW IN THE HOLY HEAVENS IS AN ENTIRE GNOSIS STOLEN. Does that mean that a gnosis can't have a "recall" like the less advanced visions. Is there a requirement to use a gnosis like there is with visions. Give me answers, hoyoverse this infuriates me.

I think the worst part is that according to the lore, Diluc willingly left his vision behind for 3 years. It didn't try to return to him even though the situation is similar to Keqing's. If Keqing can't get rid of her vision what makes Diluc able to do so? It can't be because of him using his father's delusion because if that's the case Childe is now put into question. If Childe got rid of his vision, would it not return since he uses a delusion? What exactly is the logic here?

When she realized that the Vision was indestructible, and not wanting it to fall in the wrong hands, she ultimately came to terms with having it.

How much am I imagining visions holders feel loosely aligned with the archon “ambition”? That’s not to suggest archons consciously do this. The elements of unreleased archons have common themes that make me wonder about their ambitions.
Anemo - Trying to find their own way, in their own way or otherwise stand for the freedom for others to do that.
Geo - deep personal sense to uphold a specific promise or code.
Electro - somehow lonely or otherwise never needed/wanted it.
Hydro - Holds specific station/title that demands they actively administer some kind of service for the good of others - even if it feels a burden.
Pyro - have the (infectious) drive to succeed at a specific personal goal/passion no matter the odds - alone if necessary. The Yanfei lines in this video helped me square that circle (should be geo or hydro otherwise). I don’t know enough about Thoma, need to finish his hangout.
Cryo - Survivors of something unpleasant/tragic and/or seek to attain personal strength to change/fight something. (Not sure about Ganyu… unless her growing up half adepti then being a kick ass secretary counts).

i read the teyvat guide of inazuma and now i think that alice is a seelie because seelie where described as the ones that guided humanity and thy where with white skin and with white hair wich could be also blonde and klee is for sure like his mom both in aspect and personality also they are elves the ears and the fact that alice is at least more than 500 years old to call yae miko "little yae miko" means that is more old than her and the fact that she and klee have very a very long life wich is confirned by alice herself means that MAYBE she is a seelie that in someway survived

It's just my thought but I think people get those certain types of vision depending on the ambition of the archon of that elements. If a certain person's ambition matches the archon's ambition during that time. They receive a vision.
That would make sense why nobody got electro vision during that 1 year of lockdown. Because nobody wants to stuck in one phase of life. They always want to move to new era of life.

I have only come up a theory when i was showering and i think if its true it would really shaken genshin's lore. So I theorize that what if all vision bearers ascend to godhood? Whats to say that the previous archons were just that vision bearers? If thats true then what if celestia's grand plan to totally subdue humanity is to let them fight one another? distract them from the real problem which is celestia? I theorize that the tsaritsa will fail on her grand plan and as punishment celestia executes all archons to free up the 7 nations. Thus creating another archon war from the recently ascended gods? IF that was true we might see the characters fight for their survival. Imagine the whole of teyvat will be plunge to another bloody war but this time Kazuha, kokomi, Diluc, and the others vision bearers fight for supremacy? We got a taste of a character dying ie signora (although she is not playable) but it just shows how mihoyo is not afraid to kill of characters and we might see it in the future.

With how literal the concept of taking your visions away in the sakouku decree, I'm curious. Do they have to bring their vision with them everywhere? Even when taking a bath?
I've wondered if they can ever be stolen while still in one's ownership. We've seen a dead vision get taken during Kazuha's Archon quest arch but what would happen if say.. Someone stole one of the visions from the Inazuman statue? Would it answer to them? Would the vision wielder be able to find it or sense it in someone else's hand?
I hope to see that story get told eventually, it'd make for a great playable character's backstory too!
How about Childe's vision voice line sounds like he never have one.
It's more of he makes it sound like he only sees his vision as a means of becoming stronger. He is battle hungry after all, even going so far as to thinking that delusions are good for him in combat despite knowing the scale of danger that lies behind it.
